03/04/2026: Recently renovated, the seafood is excellent, using quality ingredients. We ordered polenta with skie, scallops, garganelli with baby octopus, and fried calamari. Everything was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were very friendly.

02/03/2026: A unique experience! An evening with friends over a shared piñata... a delight. Fresh fish, perfectly cooked, lagoon style. The owner is a friendly and welcoming person who comes out of the kitchen to serve guests.

03/05/2026: Slow service. I had to go inside to get bread, salt, and pepper after three reminders to the waitress. The menu said "appetizers of the day, ask the staff," and the answer was: it depends on what's in the kitchen. I'm a professional, and hearing that sentence made my hair go gray. For the food and service, the price was unjustified. The service organization definitely needs to be reconsidered. I recommend specifying that the water is in a carafe, not a bottle. I'm responding to the owner and his wonderful response. Being a professional, I urge you not to be so self-conscious; learn from your guests' criticisms instead of justifying everything. You were disorganized. Don't worry, we definitely won't be back. Word of mouth is an excellent way to recommend or discourage someone. P.S. Publishing bill details to "expose" or intimidate a customer is an unlawful disclosure of personal data without consent.

19/04/2026: I've been to Controcorrente at Alberoni (Venice Lido) and I have to say it was a truly wonderful discovery! 😊 The restaurant has a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for both a quiet dinner and an evening with friends. You immediately feel at ease, thanks in part to the staff, who are always smiling, kind, and helpful without ever being intrusive. You can really feel the care they give, which is not always a given these days. The food was the real highlight: incredibly fresh seafood dishes, beautifully presented, and with authentic flavors, but the pizza was also truly worth it (light dough and quality ingredients). You can tell they put a lot of care into the selection of ingredients and the preparation. The outdoor space is also very pleasant, with a sort of covered terrace that allows you to enjoy your meal in an airy yet sheltered environment. The prices are absolutely in line with the area and the quality offered, so I'd say more than fair. Overall, it's one of those places you'll gladly return to and recommend without a second thought. If you're in Alberoni, it's definitely worth a stop! 👍

31/05/2026: This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise; we had divine seafood dishes. The staff is also very friendly, and we even got a taste of a delicious coffee liqueur! I highly recommend it, don't miss out!

03/05/2026: The fish appetizers were far below expectations, overcooked and therefore stringy, the sparkling wine in a carafe, and the bill was over €70 per person. Only the fried food was a good deal, but even that wasn't up to par and definitely average for places where you pay €35-40 per person. The service was good.

27/07/2025: Schyssta pizzaslices som var båda goda och mättande. Inte så roligt att äta inne i lokalen men kan absolut rekommendera att ta med on the go och äta någon annanstans, förslagsvis vid någon av kanalerna.

09/12/2025: I had a sandwich, coffee, aperol and some prosecco. I chose the place so I could sit outside and watch the world go by; it's perfect for this. Food is fine, they have limited space so it's mainly bread and light bites. Good value, nice people.

05/05/2026: I was pleasantly surprised by this place, so attentive to detail. Each dish was delicious, a splendid asparagus risotto accompanied by a unique entrée, and to finish, a very fresh mandarin sorbet. The courtesy of the owner, Christian, and his staff pleasantly surprised me.

03/05/2026: Excellent welcome A bowl of water for our dog Super friendly waitress, very good food, both pizza and fish. We only recommend the carbonara, which arrived cold and with burnt bacon. Excellent service, with roast potatoes and ricotta as an appetizer, and biscuits with mascarpone cream at the end of the meal. If I ever come back to San Donà di Piave, I'll definitely be back!

03/06/2026: Thinking we'd find a traditional place, not a tourist trap, we entered this very nice-looking establishment and sat at the same table as another couple (hurray for economy). We ordered two "typical" house meatballs as an appetizer (grandmothers all over Italy make them the same or better), and before we'd finished them, the waiters thrust the second course right before our eyes (let's admit, we were a little nervous). The second course featured polenta not listed on the menu. The wine, a Soave by the glass, tasted like damp cloth. See you never again.

30/05/2026: Intrigued to try this historic venue, we were disappointed by everything. First of all, being used to establishments with more outgoing and sociable staff, we found ourselves faced with a cold and awkward waitress taking our order, incapable of offering us any advice on which dishes to choose. The prices were high for small portions and not worthy of the money we spent. The €25 appetizer was nothing special, served with cold polenta and house wine on tap for the modest sum of €10... what a shame! I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Barbara

08/05/2026: 8.05.2026. Morning. You need to change a mentality and manners of your waiter who during two minutes very loud mentioned that breakfast costs 50 euro per person. And one time said “five zero from person”. I understand that he's used to serving only old people like himself and for him 50 eur is a lot, but in today's world, even those under 30 have money. And if he were interested in art, I'd give him my autograph on a napkin, which he could sell for more than breakfast at the place where he works. We were upset…

11/04/2026: I had a plate of tagliatelle, which were delicious, plentiful, and above all, tossed and placed on the plate at the moment.

03/05/2026: A large café with plenty of seating both inside and outside. We only stopped for breakfast. The coffee and cappuccino were average, good but not exceptional. There's a wide variety of croissants, but they all use the same dough and little else (small pastries and muffins). The service staff is quick and professional.

26/04/2026: The friendliness of the entire staff makes this pastry shop even sweeter. It's best to go after 9:30 a.m., when the full supply arrives from the workshop. Before that, there are brioches, croissants, and various baked goods for breakfast. The coffee is excellent.
