07/12/2024: Crepes House de Pepe estaba LITERALMENTE justo fuera de la puerta de mi AirBNB mientras estaba en Venecia por 7 semanas por negocios. Frecuenté Pepe's muchas veces y nunca me decepcionó la comida, el servicio o la conversación. Pepe e Irene son personas fantásticas que hacen comida fantástica. Califiqué un 5 / 5 en TripAdvisor y eso todavía parece bajo.

09/08/2024: First of all I want to thank them for good behavior. I had ordered a pizza but I forgot to ask if it has ham in it (FYI: I don’t eat ham). When the pizza came, I saw the ham and I had to send it back. They offered some alternatives instead and they deleted the pizza from the check. I am really really thankful for it. I think it is one of the best wine and olive oil tasting and dining place in Venice. Last words: very good place and very friendly staff.

25/08/2024: Best Pizza i ever Had. It was a pleasure watching The Crew Work together in sync. Everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. I came during "rush hour" and they were preparing Pizza by The Dozent and yet everything was organized and efficient.

28/11/2024: Buono il cibo, gentile il personale, abbastanza curato il locale. Non c'è alcunchè di eclatante ma dopo una giornata di turismo stancante a Venezia è il posto ideale per cenare rilassati e allegri. Sia i bigoli in salsa che il baccalà mantecato ci hanno soddisfatto pienamente. Prezzi "veneziani" (un po' altini) ma ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo con lo sconto ottenuto con "the fork". Consigliato anche per la quiete e la bellezza dei dintorni.

18/11/2024: Ieri sera sono stata a cena con mia madre in questo ristorante. Avevamo prenotato alle 20.00 (con il 50%) ma poi all’ultimo abbiamo anticipato alle 19.30 e lo sconto è diventato del 30%… Ma fin qui, nessun problema, ne eravamo consapevoli. Ordiniamo come antipasto una porzione di patatine fritte, come primi io uno spaghetto al nero di seppia e lei alle vongole, e un dolce… Appena arrivano i piatti notiamo subito che c’era una grande differenza tra le due porzioni, lei con tre forchettate aveva già finito. Poco dopo, anche ai ragazzi accanto a noi arrivano due porzioni di spaghetti alle vongole ma le quantità erano nettamente più grandi rispetto al piatto di mia mamma. Chiediamo quindi ai due ragazzi se anche loro avessero prenotato con The Fork e ci rispondono di sì (con sconto del 50%). Al momento del conto, mia madre fa presente il fatto e il cameriere le risponde “sarà stata una svista”, non adoperandosi in NESSUN MODO per ovviare alla “SVISTA”. Un consiglio: guardate sempre i piatti degli altri e non fatevi fregare!

17/11/2024: Our "FIRST TIME" here, that hit and run that you never expect amazes you! The offer is varied, a super-stocked and very inviting display case, carefully chosen raw materials. The smile of the lady who welcomed us is disarming. A super pleasant break, highly recommended

12/12/2024: Chic restaurant. It's soft shell crab season and they are great here. The oysters are always at the highest level 👍👌 and in general this is the best restaurant in Venice, for my taste 👌👌👌

10/12/2024: I’m not sure how this restaurant has received its online reputation, but as frequent fine diners all around the world, we were highly disappointed. It’s not even close to our expectation. The atmosphere is more like a family diner, the food was mediocre at best, and the service was clumsy and inefficient. We had to ask for so many things that should have been provided. We had a clumsy young boy serving us (poor thing, I’m sure he was doing his best), although the older gentleman helping and overseeing things was polite. However his wine recommendation was just the most expensive on the list; it was awful. I requested dry and full bodied. The wine we were served was full bodied, but dreadfully sweet. Hugely disappointing. The seating is uncomfortable. The table is small. The lighting is not appealing or warm. We were cold most of the meal, I added a sweater around my shoulders. The citrus dessert my husband ordered to clear his palate because he was feeling ill from the food, was barely citrus flavored, and my dessert (a Mille-feuille) was made with some kind of plain custard and was already looking floppy when served. It was completely flavorless. My main course was like visiting grandpa’s place for dinner. Basic slop. :( The meat was unpleasant, the mashed potato was tasteless and sloppy, and the brown ‘gravy’ poured all over it was not high end or an elegant reduction. I ate a little of each to be polite, but.. ugh. We were served an amuse bouche initially; both were different. My husband received some kind of salmon, and I received a marinated radicchio which was too tough to cut through or even bite through, it was terrible. We should’ve left at that point. We both felt ill afterwards. The final insult; after expressing disappointment in my husband’s dessert (to which they agreed was not a good flavor), and the wine (which I didn’t touch after one sip), they didn’t wipe those items from the bill, as any high quality restaurant would do with a genuine disappointment. They just apologized and took full (over) payment. We remained as polite as possible, but we would definitely never return here. This restaurant is probably suited to quite older people who like old fashioned and soft/ sloppy foods, or families who enjoy wasting money. We paid over €200 for very disappointing everything. I would definitely NOT recommend to anyone who is accustomed to actual fine dining. We were extremely disappointed to have been guided here by a ‘fine dining’ search. All part of the fun of traveling and trying new locations I guess. There are many, many beautiful and high end restaurants in Venice to savor, with great pleasure. Da Fiore is definitely not one of them.

27/07/2024: I celebrated my graduation here. Beautiful park with the possibility of staying inside with air conditioning, very useful in this period. Very attentive staff and excellent service. Very helpful and efficient even during the booking phase. Fair price for the service.
