19/10/2025: Unfortunately, our first experience wasn't entirely satisfactory. Aside from the 15-minute delay in delivery (which is often expected), we weren't entirely impressed with the pizza. First of all, we expected a crispy crust (or at least that's what the photos looked like), but the word that best describes it, alas, is "chewy"; a common term that came to mind for everyone at the table. We would also have liked the dough to be less salty. Furthermore, the pizzas were barely cooked through, meaning the bases were white, as if they had been taken out of the oven in a bit of a rush (could it be a Friday night, perhaps?). On the plus side, the portions are generous and the staff is friendly. Regretfully, we'll probably give this pizzeria one last chance later on (though we still hope to be pleasantly surprised).

05/10/2025: Absolutely excellent pizza. Every time I go for it, I'm amazed at how good it is. Thick, soft, and wide, packed with ingredients and flavors. They have a wide variety of pizzas to suit all tastes and intolerances, with over 10 different doughs. They deliver the pizza directly to your home, or you can pick it up and wait on the comfortable sofas, or order it. The service and staff are young, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Congratulations!

01/11/2025: I've been to several nearby places and they were too busy. This one was practically empty for no reason! The food was delicious and the waiters were friendly and helpful!! It should be busier!

29/10/2025: We were looking for a nice spot for an evening glass of wine and you could not ask for anything better. Quiet canalside location, friendly staff and clearly popular with locals. Well worth getting off the tourist trail for this place!

29/09/2025: Highly recommended! Immaculately maintained venue and top-notch staff who make you feel at home. New, super-clean rooms and an excellent breakfast with quality ingredients. Lunch and dinner options include a first and second course of meat (exceptional quality). The selection of wines and champagnes is second to none, including premium labels. In short, if you're passing through Verona, you can't miss this place.

07/12/2025: Even if the exterior doesn't seem inviting, when the dishes arrive, you realize that appearance is irrelevant compared to the contents offered. It was my first time, but it certainly won't be my last. The dishes served were very good, flavorful, and well-prepared. The quality of the ingredients was excellent. Definitely worth a try.

08/12/2025: Pizzeria located right in the center, overlooking Piazza delle Erbe, a very beautiful location. The restaurant is on two levels (it was cold in the basement). The staff is friendly and welcoming. The menu isn't very extensive: there are classic and seasonal flavors, as well as some gourmet pizzas. The pizzas are small, rich in ingredients, and lack a crust. Personally, I didn't like the pizza dough; they use high-fiber flour (type 1), and when cooked, it makes the pizza a bit biscuity. Prices are average for downtown. I recommend it.

28/10/2025: Last minute stay during late season (end of October) and it was a very pleasant surprise. Comfortable beds, great staff, and we ended up eating in the restaurant even though we had booked a room with no board, and it was delicious. Local food done simple and well. Wish we had more than 16 hours to spend there.

23/11/2025: After a second visit to this restaurant, I can't help but write a review. It was recommended to me by a local, and rarely has a recommendation been more appropriate. The place is cozy and quiet, the staff extremely friendly and attentive to every need, and the cuisine is excellent: from the quality of the ingredients to their preparation. I tasted eight dishes in total, all well above average (special mention for the pasta e fagioli and the pumpkin tart, excellent vegetarian options). I've already named it my "favorite place" for every time I return to Padua. I highly recommend anyone who lives nearby to try it: it's hard to be disappointed.

02/09/2025: As a reviewer (and food enthusiast) who's always looking for new places to try, I often rely on online reviews to discover hidden gems in the area. This time, the positive reviews of Bar Raniolo 1977 in Caltagirone caught my attention, especially for their self-service lunch buffet. The idea of ​​a quick but tasty meal convinced me to stop by. ​The Lunch Experience: Highlights and Highlights .............................................................. ​The buffet offered a good variety of dishes, and I must admit, I started off on the right foot: the lasagna was truly remarkable. I could taste the quality ingredients, and the flavor was balanced and satisfying. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm faded almost immediately. The rice was flavorless, the eggplant completely lacked salt, and the meat was average; I've had better. ​But the real disappointment came with the arancini. I figured that, being a Sicilian restaurant, at least the arancini would surprise me. Instead, it turned out incredibly dry. The texture was good, but the lack of moisture drowned out all the flavors, making it almost inedible. I also wanted to try the gluten-free arancini that were available: a brave choice, but the result was, quite simply, disgusting. A glimmer of hope: the pastry shop .............................................................. ​The only truly positive note came unexpectedly from the pastry shop. We decided to try some desserts I'd never seen before, and I was pleasantly surprised. They were delicious, fresh, and carefully crafted. They weren't "exceptional," but they certainly made a huge difference compared to the rest of the food. If I were to return, it would be for the pastry shop alone. ​Service and cleanliness: the sore points .............................................................. ​The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to lend a hand. However, there is one area that needs improvement: cleanliness. Despite the nature of the place (a self-service bar), the tables and floor looked neglected. A little more attention in this regard would make a big difference. Another annoying detail was the air conditioning. We reported it, but were told it was on full blast, even though the air was anything but cool. Small details that, when added together, impact the overall experience. Final Verdict ................................................................ ​Considering the overall experience, I can't give Bar Raniolo 1977 a rating higher than 3 stars. While the pastries and lasagna are noteworthy, the disappointments with the rest of the buffet and the arancini, combined with the lack of cleanliness and service, weigh too heavily on the final rating. ​I don't think I'll return for a full lunch, but perhaps in the future for a quick coffee and dessert.

13/06/2025: Spagetti vongole genial. Muscheln in Tomatensoße so lecker, dass sogar der Teller ausgelöffelt wurde. Der Soaso oder Rhombo gegrillt ein Traum. So was findet man auf ganzen Halbinseln nicht besser. Service sehr freundlich.

12/09/2025: I drop by this boutique every now and then, and everything is made beautifully, from the pastries to the bread to the coffee. Professional and friendly. The clerk is a dream, with gorgeous, bright eyes that smile at you, and you'd buy everything, including him, just to lick it and see if his cream is as good as the cannoli one. Between a cappuccino and the sight of him, the experience is orgasmic.
