04/04/2025: Frequentiamo questo locale da anni quando siamo in val Pusteria e non ci ha mai deluso: piatti raffinati , a volte con accostamenti arditi, ricchi di prodotti stagionali e caratteristici, in qualche caso raccolti direttamente dallo chef e da sua moglie che serve in sala, ma è l'autrice anche di alcune preparazioni (es.: salse per il piatto di foie gras). Bel locale caratteristico ed accogliente. Menù accattivante, scelta dei vini con molte soluzioni di prezzo medio e di ottima qualità. Servizio sempre cortese e premuroso.

22/03/2025: My girlfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to an à la carte lunch in this mountain hut, avoiding the self-service for a more refined meal. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but pleasant. I ordered a main course of pork, mushrooms and rice. To my great surprise I found a WORM on my plate. Shocked, I asked the waitress for explanations, who initially tried to downplay it, telling me that it was a sprig of rosemary. An unacceptable response, given that it was clear that he was a worm. I showed the photo to confirm my impression, but despite the evidence, the waitress continued to deny it. I understand that the girl was not at fault, but what I find shameful is that neither the owner nor the chef deigned to come to the table to apologize. Serving a worm on a plate is a very serious mistake, and the least you can expect is an admission and a sincere apology. In the end, I wasn't charged for the dish (and of course), but no one had the courage to take responsibility for what happened. This is not catering, it is lack of respect for the customer. A place that behaves in this way does not deserve to be trusted.

28/02/2025: Personale pessimo, volevamo pranzare al ristorante ma la cameriera in modo molto maleducato ci ha lanciato un menu, senza farci accomodare, poi quando ho chiesto di potermi sedere visto che la bambina era stanca ci ha risposto che dovevamo attendere nonostante il ristorante fosse vuoto! Siete fortunati ad avere poca concorrenza…

10/01/2025: Between 12 and 2 “only” drinking is not allowed. Even if several small tables are free and not reserved and you are already sitting at the table and explain that you will be leaving in 30 minutes. This is explained to the guest by an unfriendly employee. I have never experienced this in any other cafe in South Tyrol. You can do that as a business model, but for my guest model the café is completely eliminated.

22/12/2024: We ate canederle with cabbage. The cabbage was too salty. The stew with gnocchi was also too salty. We got our food quickly, but we had the feeling that we were expected to eat as soon as possible and free the table for someone else.

14/02/2025: Siamo andati per un pausa merenda, oltre alla vasta scelta di tisane, al banco c'erano anche molti dolci. Abbiamo preso lo strudel ed era davvero eccezionale! Locale accogliente e personale gentilissimo. Ritorneremo sicuramente.

03/01/2025: Ero già stato anni fa per colazione senza aver acquistato nulla, questa volta sono tornato per prendere lo strudel che anni fa aveva preso un mio amico, ottimo e divorato in poco tempo. Se andate quì soprattutto per i mercatini di natale lasciate perdere quello che vendono i mercatini, caro ma industriale al contrario di quello che ti dicono, questo è tutta un'altra cosa e il prezzo sinceramente non penso il prezzo sia molto più alto e in ogni caso ne vale davvero la pena

01/02/2025: Visited in January 2025, a very interesting and beautifully set up "architecture and territory" themed exhibition. The exhibition space is conceived in an original and rational way in an extraordinarily organized space. Truly, a recommended visit.

28/10/2024: Architecturally high-quality arbor house in the heart of Merano and a great program. The exhibition *new architecture in South Tyrol 2018-2024* is worth seeing.

09/02/2025: Terrible is an understatement. We arrive thirsty to get a bottle of water, a beer and who knows maybe get some typical cheese, we were rudely thrown out because there is no bar service, only restaurant. And at the human request to have only a bottle of water since we had finished ours and we were feeling thirsty, we were thrown out again. Inconceivable. A place like this should close down!

22/04/2025: Wir über dieses Restaurant etwas Schlechtes schreibt, der sollte erst einmal nachdenken, ob nicht er selbst an der misslichen Situation schuld war. Aber Schlechtmacher, Besserwisser und Egoisten findet man ja leider im mehr. Die Familie Weissteiner und ihr Personal arbeiten absolut professionell, sie sind freundlich und herzlich. Preis, Leistung, Qualität und Quantität, Frische und Anrichtungsweise findet man so schnell nicht wieder. Wir freuen uns jedes Jahr auf das Jochtal, und werden immer wieder kommen.

07/08/2024: In Richtung Mendel liegt ein nettes Lokal mit Biergarten. Dort kann man wirklich gut essen und die Ruhe geniessen. Das Lokal wird liebevoll geführt von Mutter und Sohn - der Sohn ist die Kochmütze dort. Das was er kocht - das schmeckt auch gut -und ist üppig. Man darf ruhig etwas Hunger mitbringen. Ich wünsche einen schönen Aufenthalt.

06/03/2025: Splendido rifugio molto rustico e ancora oggi con arredo antiquato e per questo autentico! Apprezziamo molto questo rifugio e torniamo ogni anno in quanto si trova distante dall'altro e nella stagione invernale si può raggiungere solo a piedi, facendo desistere molte persone nel raggiungerlo; ciò offre un ambiente più intimo e come un affluenza turistica molto bassa. Personale sempre gentile pietanze molto buone e prezzi abbastanza elevati. Nelle giornate di sole e assenza di vento si può ammirare un panorama unico.

23/03/2025: „Abendessen Sonntag Abend 19 h als alleinstehende Person“ *Kellner/Servicepersonal/Bedienmädchen freundlicher oder zuvorkommender Empfang von potenziellen Gästen/Kunden leider leider Fehlanzeige. Kein nettes Lächeln, sondern nur mürrisches Gesicht und eher Ablehnung gegenüber Gästen. Also nicht besonders einladender Empfang. * Speisen sind grundsätzlich ok, regional & frisch. Preise sind noch im Rahmen, aber schon eher gehoben. Leider waren meine Speisen teilweise zu bemängeln. Gruß aus der Küche kam erst kurz nach der Vorspeise (Vitello Tonnato) dazu. Während ich noch mit dem letzten Drittel meiner Vorspeise beschäftigt war, wurde schon versucht das Hauptgericht an den Tisch zu bringen. Da ich aber noch mit der Vorspeise beschäftigt war, wurde das Hauptgericht wieder mitgenommen. Eine ganze Weile später war ich mit der Vorspeise fertig, dann wurde das Hauptgericht wieder an den Tisch gebracht. Weißer Spargel mit gekochtem Schinken, Kartoffeln & Bozenersosse >> hatte schon damit gerechnet, dass alles kalt an den Tisch kommt, aber der Spargel (war noch etwas hart) & die Kartoffeln wurden vermutlich in der Mikrowelle noch mal sehr stark erhitzt, daher habe ich mir fast den Mund/Lippe/Zunge verbrannt. 🙄 Aber immerhin besser als kalt. Dessert Erdbeer Panna Cotta >> kenne ich eher in festem Zustand, geschmacklich war es ganz ok, Konsistenz war eher eine Panna-Cotta-Creme. * Meine Empfehlung an den Inhaber, BITTE explizit auf eine professionelle gastronomische Schulung des Personals Wert legen. Zeitlicher Ablauf in einem Gastronomiebetrieb, Umgangsformen gegen über Gästen/Kunden, so wie Freundlichkeit und aktiv auf potenzielle Kunden zugehen und eventuell Wünsche eingehen, oder nachfragen, ob der Gast zufrieden ist. >> Daher mein Fazit >> nur drei PunkteBefriedigend meine Bewertung!
