20/06/2025: I stayed here for 5 days for a conference. This hotel claims to be an upscale hotel but it's not. First they gave me a room in the square above the art workshop, which means I had to drag my heavy suitcase above tiny narrow stone steps multiple times. There was no elevator and the stairs were so narrow that I had to go sideways. Next the walls are paper-thin. The person in the room next to me was having a normal conversation and I could hear everything. The windows don't have any shades and you can't close the shutter. Which means I was kept awake all night due to the light coming from the light bulbs outside. I could also hear any conversation that was happening on the square as the windows are single panel and filter no sounds. Also it was super hot and humid in June when I stayed here. So everyday I would sweat through 2-3 pairs of clothing. However they had no laundry service for the week I was there. I had to resort to washing my clothes in the sink with water and drying them over the shower. Lastly the place is super remote which might be a plus for some people. However, when my flight from Florence was canceled I couldn't book something immediately because I had to figure out the logistics of going anywhere from this hotel. So if you like your creature comforts, and get a good night's sleep, I will not recommend this hotel.

19/06/2025: We came back several times because the pizzas were so good. The owner was super friendly and helpful. If you want to try delicious, quality pizzas in Italy, this is the place. I highly recommend it.

31/05/2025: We chose this restaurant because it is certified for gluten-free cooking and it was a very pleasant surprise for everyone. The dishes are well cooked, with high quality raw materials. The service is courteous and not intrusive. The desserts are also excellent. We will return as soon as possible to try other dishes, but the pici with pistachio pesto with tuna and lemon tartare and the tortelli filled with cod with pachino and burrata that we ate (both in the traditional and gluten-free versions) definitely won us over! Congratulations!

07/07/2025: Calling it just a sushi restaurant is really limited. Here you can find a large menu of every type of Asian cuisine, from sushi, to raw seafood, nagiri, ramen, and much more, even spaghetti with mussels. Let's say that the menu satisfies everyone. Excellent all you can eat solution at a really honest price. Drinks and extra cover charge. During my stay in the restaurant I had the opportunity to try many dishes, ordered via tablet and served at the table. Very fast and very friendly service. It was a great experience, especially in the quality of the food. I will definitely return.

28/06/2025: We are now regular customers of this restaurant which is without a doubt the best Sushi fusion restaurant in Versilia. Very fast reservations, zero waiting for tables, very clean, large and very refined environment, fast and error-free service. The choice of dishes is wide; the section of new dishes is appreciable, which changes periodically. The flavor of each proposal is excellent; the presentation is beautiful and, in terms of level, is easily comparable to a gourmet restaurant. I really appreciate the open kitchen with 5 chefs preparing the dishes. Maximum hygiene. Perfect for couples or small groups of friends who want to treat themselves to a dinner to remember.

26/05/2025: My wife and I went to this restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The menu includes a choice of three culinary courses, consisting of five, seven or nine plus dessert. In our case we opted for the 10-course total for a cost of €150 per person. The course winds through fish and meat dishes with different consistencies and cooking methods and combinations reinterpreted by chef Tomei. The wine list presents a great variety and different typologies with particular labels from all over the world. The dining room staff is very kind and well prepared. The restaurant is located within the walls of Lucca immersed in the beautiful setting of the Pfanner palace, be careful of the ZTL.

26/05/2025: I was a guest last night with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant is located within the walls of Lucca, my advice is to leave the car outside as it is a ZTL area. Don't rely too much on Google Maps if you don't want to go home with a fine. The dinner includes a choice of three surprise tastings: 5, 7 or 9 courses plus dessert. We chose the last one with a cost of €150 per person, excluding wine. The menu included fish and meat dishes with a touch of genius in every single course that made the dinner very fun and satisfying, especially since we didn't know what to expect since it is a blind tasting. Compliments to the dining room staff who listened to us and followed us from the beginning to the end of the dinner, doing their job impeccably. The restaurant is also accessible to people with disabilities and is pet friendly.

04/03/2025: I went in by chance and decided to have an ice cream – and I was satisfied. It was really good and I really liked it. Usually, in winter, when ice cream is bought less often, preservatives are added that affect its flavor. I didn't notice anything like that here: everything was fresh and natural. Price: €3.50 for 3 flavours.

21/02/2025: Ottimi prodotti, in alcuni gusti senza latte è possibile assaporare il naturale gusto, come per pistacchio, nocciola e cioccolato senza latte. Poi la cosa sorprendente è stata la gentilezza, il titolare si è tenuto il cono in mano durante il pagamento, mentre in genere ti lasciano con gelato, resto e portafogli.

09/07/2025: The restaurant had been praised as the best in the area, but I'm sorry, but I didn't find the quality I'd imagined. For example, I ordered the tagliata, and it was tough.

09/07/2025: The ice cream was pretty good. I got the dark chocolate and black cherry flavor with a crunchy topping. The crunchy topping was good, but the black cherry tasted like syrup. The chocolate flavor was okay.

08/06/2025: Pizza the way you want it. We arrived quite late (9:40 p.m.) and were greeted and served in a very friendly manner. The pizzas were amazing. The Italian beer is highly recommended. We even stayed after the shop closed and received a free limoncello. Our dog was also warmly welcomed.

26/07/2025: Everything was excellent! Spaghetti allo scoglio, trofie of the day, ravioli with shrimp and pistachios, fried seafood, and desserts. I especially recommend the ravioli and the truly special fried seafood! Prices in Barga are higher than in other Garfagnana towns, but a stop at the Giro di Boa is worth it. Outdoor location, but on a quiet street.
