14/09/2025: I'm writing this because the person directly involved has no way to publish it...these are her words: We've been frequenting this place for a couple of months with great pleasure. It's always been a go-to place for quality dinners and a welcoming atmosphere. The platters are truly unique, carefully crafted both in terms of composition and product quality: a true strength of the place. Everything was going well until I discovered that, during a previous visit, if I hadn't taken a precautionary pill (due to my numerous allergies), the evening could have ended in tragedy. I know perfectly well that dealing with a customer with allergies isn't easy, and for this very reason, it's essential to be doubly careful, especially when a specific request is made and reiterated multiple times. I ask if a dessert offered is indeed lactose-free, it's checked (at my request), and I'm told, in a somewhat annoyed tone, that I can eat it. I eat it, and everything's fine thanks to the pill. But this isn't acceptable. This is about health. This is about life. The most recent dinner was perfect until that moment of "discovery." I don't want to generalize, because the owner's welcome is always wonderful; Marcos serves us with kindness and a genuine smile, and Sole is always calm, precise, and helpful. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for another waiter, whose smirks while I was explaining a serious problem left me very disappointed. Maybe it's just his manner, but at that moment it seemed like a joke. The owner, upon learning of the situation, immediately came to the table to apologize. A very appreciated gesture, as was the empathy and understanding shown by a lady at the cash register (perhaps the owner), who expressed sincere and regretful words. It wasn't my intention not to pay, but the gesture was meaningful and I felt it was made from the heart. I will return, but not right away. I need to let this sink in first. When I do, I'll decide whether or not to sit down based on the staff present. The restaurant remains a place where you can eat very well, with truly high-quality food. The problem isn't the food, it's not the atmosphere, it's not the majority of the staff. The problem was a serious mistake, one that, unfortunately, I can't turn a blind eye to. I hope my experience serves as a starting point for greater attention in the future, because it's a truly worthy place, but when it comes to allergies... you can't afford to be careless. -

I celebrated my fiftieth birthday last Saturday in Altopascio and we had a great time.. spectacular food, friendly and professional staff and Mirko truly a great leader, very kind and always available for any request even if our crew was particularly noisy 🎉🥳🎊, real party animals ☺️🫣.. Highly recommended.... In fact, we'll be back on Friday to celebrate again.. Thank you all so much.. you are spectacular 🥰. You made my birthday an unforgettable moment 🥰.. Laura

10/05/2025: You absolutely have to try the bomboloni (the best I've ever tasted), the pastries with Chantilly cream, the bongo, the millefoglie.... Anyway, whatever you try, it's really worth it. Highly recommended

13/06/2025: I returned after about 1 year and found a place that had changed for the worse, unfortunately. Very limited portions at increased prices with a slightly poor quality of food. 2 things disappointed me: stale bread and moldy tart. The answer was "sorry, it can happen in the heat, I ate it this morning too, but I took it off the bill"... damn, and then we even need to pay for it

04/08/2025: The beach is always empty, and perhaps I understand why. The staff is rude and disrespectful to customers, who pay and have to put up with the rude behavior of those who work here (except the kids). I saw the only kids who had the courage to choose this beach try to play a bit of beach tennis and be reprimanded immediately. Crazy.

07/09/2025: I gave 2 stars to encourage the young people who work there, but there's still a lot to do. We went to dinner on Saturday night with a group of 31 people who had booked a month in advance. They put us on the third floor in the attic, which was stiflingly hot, but worse still... the appetizers were meager and not enough for everyone. The pizzas on the third floor were slow to arrive; the few that were available were good, but bring them. At 11:15 PM, we were asked if we wanted more pizza. We left disappointed. For me, as the group leader, it was embarrassing.

19/08/2025: DISAPPOINTING!... It's well known that courtesy has NEVER been this place's strong point, but once upon a time (when they were in the old location) the pizzas were really good, with the southern flavors that made the difference. We ate 3 raw pizzas, and they were all TASTELESS... I think the old pizza chef ran away, taking the best flavors with him... I wouldn't go back and obviously I don't recommend it... I think negative reviews help you REFLECT AND IMPROVE... if that's not the case, I feel sorry for them...

13/09/2025: Lovely lady running this traditional hole in the wall bar. Had the best bruschetta I can remember and some lovely red wine. A beautiful place to sit and watch local people meet and greet. A lovely glimpse of a lovely city.

18/10/2025: A very cozy location, next to a beautiful church. Very friendly service, who take excellent care of their guests. Delicious food. We felt very comfortable in this small osteria.

22/09/2025: Unfortunately, I have to express my disappointment. We ordered two fried foods and a French fry to go, and the price of €41.00 was completely unjustified. The portions were small, and the quality didn't live up to expectations. Then I checked the actual price on the menu, and it said €16.00 per fried food, when they quoted me €18.00 for each. They should consider making improvements.

18/09/2025: The grilled fish platter was not recommended! The shrimp were not deveined and some had a disgusting, sloppy texture. The pizza, on the other hand, was really good.

26/09/2025: I should start by saying that no business in Grosseto prohibits dogs. This morning, I came in with my wife and our dog on a leash; the owner spent a quarter of an hour explaining to me why she no longer allows dogs in her establishment. However, she allowed us to drink coffee at the counter, without stopping at the tables. We paid for our coffees in advance and approached the counter, where the barista brusquely asked us to leave. At this point, we gave up drinking our coffee, handing the receipt to the owner and telling her to keep the money as a tip and as a deposit for the dog insurance. This pastry shop will obviously never see me again, even without my dog. However, I read that displaying a sign prohibiting dogs is only valid if the owner notifies the mayor in writing, and must provide a designated area for the dog to leave, other than the usual hook hanging on the wall. I'll have to find another pastry shop for my next birthday cake 😂

13/09/2025: Unfortunately we went to eat a smash burger but when we opened the sandwich it was half raw and half cooked, furthermore it had nothing of smash at all, it seemed like normal hamburger meat
