26/07/2025: I've been a big fan of Ditta for a long time. I've seen firsthand how you've established yourself in Florence over time, and every time a new location opens, it's a joy to visit. I always recommend your coffee to anyone visiting Florence, because it's a worthwhile experience. No matter where I go, I know I'll find coffee made by skilled baristas and passionate staff. This location has also been a part of my fondest memories for a long time. For this very reason, I'm writing these lines only a few days later, to prevent the emotion and disappointment I felt during my last visit to this location from overpowering, a location I frequent often because it's the closest to my workplace in the historic center. I fully understand that it's a small location, always crowded with tourists. I understand, though regretfully, that the company has decided to no longer offer coffee at the counter. However, every time I come here, I get the impression that this location isn't under the same attentive management as the others. Customers are sent outside to line up for takeout coffee—and that's fine, I can understand that—but no one takes orders for several minutes, and the line gets longer. Sometimes it seems like they do it on purpose. And meanwhile, the coffee machine? It stays idle. Sometimes for more than ten minutes, because no one feels like taking a takeout order or making a coffee. I understand that there may be a lot of orders from the kitchen, but offering an espresso to those who simply want a good coffee and go should remain a priority for a brand like yours. The behavior of this staff risks damaging the work of many of your other colleagues who, in all the other locations, work with passion and pride. Is it conceivable that, during rush hour on one of the busiest streets in Florence, the coffee machine would be idle because no one is using it? I don't think so. Your company is a source of pride for many Florentines. I know how hard you've worked to ensure quality coffee in this city. Even when there have been price increases or discussions about table service charges, I've always supported your decisions and understood them. But this location too often ends up offering a disappointing experience, not only to tourists, but also to those who live in Florence. I truly hope that Francesco and all the managers of the Ditta team don't overlook these issues.

22/06/2025: A real gem in the heart of San Casciano! The service is impeccable: friendly, attentive staff, always smiling. The atmosphere is welcoming, ideal for both a family dinner and an evening with friends. But the real star is obviously the pizza: light and well-leavened dough, fresh and abundant ingredients. From the classic Margherita to the more creative specialties, every pizza is a delight. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back. 🍕

02/06/2025: Circolo m.c.l di San Casciano in Val di Pesa. Large and welcoming room also suitable for large tables with friends or birthday parties, less so if you are looking for a "romantic" environment. Good fish first courses and pizzas. Good raw materials. Good price/quality ratio. Worth mentioning in a positive sense is the possibility of contributing to the "suspended lunch"

05/05/2025: Ottima scoperta. Locale molto carino...piccolo...personale simpatico attento e preparato...il cibo è ottimo ho provato un primo e un crostone...tutto molto buono..ci ritornerò sicuramente...Sono intollerante al lattosio e ho trovato un'ampia scelta di cibi da ordinare...

27/04/2025: Locale piccolo ma molto suggestivo, con personale cordiale e disponibile. La ragazza che ci ha accolto ci ha dato ottimi consigli su cosa visitare e dove assaggiare il cibo tipico. Il menù non è particolarmente ampio, ma la qualità ripaga ampiamente: materie prime eccellenti e piatti complessivamente salutari.

21/06/2025: Overall, extremely subpar experience despite some highlights. Food and service being the lowlights. Of the dishes we tried, 50% were inedible (e.g. mullet, grains). We also had two times where the portion sizes were drastically different between two people at the same table. The servers didn’t do anything about it. For example, the spaghetti portions had one that was 50% the other which was comically bad. Another artichoke dish one plate had 3 and another plate only had 2. Shocking how little attention to detail the restaurant had for being so expensive. The service was also extremely slow (which I can understand given they were busier), but with the price, our expectations were much higher. I don’t recommend anyone coming here because of the lack of quality control and training in service.

09/08/2025: Ci siamo fermati qui per il secondo anno dovendo alloggiare nel vicino hotel per spezzare un viaggio in autostrada. Ancora più buono della prima volta. Personale gentile e accogliente, cucina tipica con un menu non lunghissimo ma vario: carne pesce, primi e pizza. Fanno anche cocktail e tutto è preparato da loro con prodotti di qualità. Atmosfera rilassante ma non formale e prezzi nella media.

23/07/2025: They told me about the sushi and tempura. Everyone raved. I actually tried the tempura (not here), and when they invited me to this other restaurant, I gladly accepted, but the house one was a little too crunchy for me. The ravioli were very good, light and tasty: an eight if I had to give them a grade like in school. The spring rolls were acceptable, but it's a shame about the broth, which was so hot that, once it cooled, it seemed tasteless. The place was spacious and not crowded, but the five of us were a bit cramped. The decor was spectacular, with a bit of everything, and even a cute little angel watching over us at the table. The Japanese cuisine isn't really to my taste (I prefer Thai), but... the ravioli were really good. I didn't take any photos because the lighting was too low and I wanted to avoid the distracting flash. The menu was endless, incomprehensible to me, and without illustrations, but it was then "explained" well by the waitress. The table was nicely set, but the napkins were paper. In short, even though the sushi isn't particularly appealing to me, thanks to the rest and the pleasant company, it was a pleasant couple of hours away from the usual steak and ribollita menu. And the prices, I think, were more than reasonable, especially regarding the AYCE (all you can eat) option, which I'm told is very popular. -- Outskirts of town, with a cinema nearby and the stadium a little further on. Parking nearby.

06/06/2025: Gentilissimi, sulla strada del ritorno dalla Versilia ci siamo fermati presso il punto vendita sulla SS1 per un caffè e per chiedere di un dolce tipico "trasportabile" nel lungo viaggio di ritorno e nonostante non ci fosse nulla che si prestasse al caso nostro, ci hanno fatto omaggio di due paste di riso dolce perchè le provassimo... omaggio graditissimo e buonissimo... grazie mille... sosta consigliatissima
