17/08/2025: A gem in a treasure chest. Charming, casual, with attention to detail, great taste, even the lighting. Excellent food, a great selection of experimental but not eccentric dishes and snacks. Two adults and two children (8 and 6), we all enjoyed an aperitif with a couple of very interesting and brilliant dishes. It's not a given that it can also satisfy a family with all their needs. Truly enjoyable. I repeat: a very pleasant location, the strong point among many other strong points.

15/08/2025: Fabulous experience! Delicious food, great value for money, and the waiters are attentive and lovely. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a little haven of peace in an interior courtyard for lunch or dinner in Ortigia!

17/08/2025: A magical and gourmet interlude in the shade of a small alley. A lovely couple who serve delicious homemade piadina. Little juices, a Campari Spritz. La dolce Vita in Syracuse! We recommend it with our eyes closed. Thank you very much for the accoglienza 😘

27/08/2025: Excellent menu. Courteous and punctual staff. The only drawback is the prevalence of horse meat-based main courses, which leaves a limited choice of other main courses.

28/08/2025: This is a great place to try pizza with a twist. Flavours and styles to suit everyone and very good value for money. We sat outside which is great for people watching and though there were many empty tables early evening,the kitchen was very busy with take away orders. Andreas our main waiters was friendly, polite and accommodating and his female colleague made a couple of great recommendations from the menu. I would consider this place my 'go to' when ordering pizza and more whilst in Ortigia.

21/08/2025: I ordered with the Fork, I don't know if it depends on this but it was repeated again that some first courses like linguine with sea urchins, or grouper ravioli, quite important dishes, are not available, I had spaghetti with clams, 8 clams in number and abundant pasta but only with the flavour of oil and parsley, a shame because even if the service is excellent but the burners are few and the waiting times are long, I don't know if I will return.

23/06/2025: Top little place, excellent food, welcoming and attentive service, refined music... in short, everything was perfect. A relaxing dinner for two, away from the tourist crowds, but at the same time just a stone's throw from the center of Ortigia. Honest prices. Highly recommended

If I had been in Syracuse for a little longer, I would have gone two or three times. It's such a shame!! I'm writing a review in Korea, but this is the place I miss the most!!!🥹

01/07/2025: don't go there if you're not from the area, Sicilians. (if you don't go there it's better). take a good look at the reviews of this dump, they are all LOCAL GUIDES, local people who have pumped up this place (unfortunately I trusted them) guys I'm not Sicilian and I'm not from the area, I don't care about creating hate, but the situation had gone too far, now I'll list everything. I'm here for work and I'm giving you a hand to avoid this negative experience. let's start with the adventure normal place, booked for 8.00/8.15 pm arrived on time. they make me sit at a table of my choice for 1 place because I was alone, from when I sat down about 40/45 minutes of waiting pass, they bring me some croutons salt and oil, then they ask me what I wanted to drink, no menu. I wait again for a good 40/45/50 minutes, when a lady from the kitchen arrives and tells me (without giving me a menu) "today we have pasta alla norma, chicken breast or steak, and a side salad or spinach". I thought "well this restaurant will have a different menu every day and so it will be like this for everyone" so I took pasta alla norma chicken breast and spinach. after almost an hour, I get this pasta alla “””norma”””, it was nothing more than overcooked tomato pasta with 3/4 pieces of eggplant, in my opinion supermarket sauce, but the thing I noticed is that the locals had the menu, and the food arrived immediately and much earlier.. after this questionable first course, about 40 minutes he asked me if I had anything else, I told him “yes I had chicken and spinach” the spinach arrived first, the spinach was made up of 80% garlic, inedible, a smell that made me want to throw up, and no guys I'm not joking, I took courage and ate some.., they were inedible. after 20 minutes the chicken breasts arrived, those were also very questionable unfortunately I didn't fuck up but I was too busy thinking that maybe I should leave, but I didn't. I leave the spinach there and I left some chicken because they were tough to eat, I go to the cashier to pay and I find a lady, she asks the old lady in the kitchen "what did the boy take?" and I to help "ah if you want I'll tell you what I took" she "no don't worry it's that she knows the numbers by heart" she clearly didn't trust. truly a scandalous place, guys don't trust the 5 star reviews because in this place the food is really bad, I don't know if they treat all those strangers from their land so badly, the fact is that I've been here for 2 weeks for work, and I've always found super nice people and I've always eaten well every day/evening, this was the only place where I had this bad experience where I even felt mocked, by all the ladies who work in this restaurant. total paid 1 water 1 first 1 second and side dish €23 absolutely to avoid

06/09/2025: After walking for hours in the summer heat around Isola di Ortigia, this restaurant felt like a welcoming oasis. The cozy atmosphere with cool music made it even more enjoyable, and the vegan dishes were truly delicious – something I believe anyone, not just vegans, would appreciate.

06/09/2025: For starters, we had the cheese selection, and it was a 20/10...simply phenomenal, as were the drinks!!! We've never eaten such good vegan cheese. For main course, we had Corbonara and the Chapeau pasta. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite to our taste; it was a bit too bland (for us). Nevertheless, we would eat there again. The staff was very friendly, and everything went very quickly! (I personally thought the playlist was great too :) )

17/08/2025: A charming and quaint meeting place for friends, you can enjoy excellent cocktails accompanied by pinsa, bruschettoni, and piadinas.

28/08/2025: The pizza was delicious, not sure what they put in the sauce but it's great. The cacio y pepe arancini was also a hit. My wife says the canolis were the best canolis she's ever had. The staff were very nice, seems like a place for locals. There's not much space on the inside, and a few tables on the outside. So best for a quick snack.

12/08/2025: Absolutely authentic cuisine; Domenico and his team run what we consider to be the best restaurant in Noto. They make a few minor compromises in the ambiance, but it's still authentic, just as you'd imagine Sicily to be. No pretentiousness, no hipster cuisine, just down-to-earth, incredibly flavorful food. The service staff is very friendly and very helpful. I would make a reservation here, as it's always booked up.

10/08/2025: A VIP experience. A recommended restaurant for lovers of good food who want to savor traditional dishes prepared with care and skill. In the historic center of Noto, in a narrow alley near Porta Ferdinandea, we discovered La Carretteria and were so captivated that we returned a second time. The caponata was excellent, the Pasta alla Norma was superb (with rigatoni or mutton ravioli), and the Sicilian-style swordfish was delicious. Finally, the Sicilian-style cannoli was a testament to the quality and skill with which the dishes are prepared...excellent. Special praise goes to Ada and her entire staff.

07/08/2025: We went 2 times and it was amazing food, really delicious! The server are friendly and kind. The frist time we waited a little longer until we got served bc it was a full restaurant! But the 2nd time we got our food quite fast! The portion was more than generous!

05/08/2025: Simply delicious, from the appetizer to the dessert!! The restaurant is located in a very cute and typical town, far from the tourist hustle and bustle. Finally, the kindness of the staff and the owner complete your meal!

16/06/2025: Last night we stopped at this little restaurant attracted by the many positive reviews and we made a pleasant discovery, the tagliatelle all'oro verde were sublime, a rich and good appetizer. I will return

22/07/2025: We have not enlisted for the signature cannoli therapy, but tried maester's cornetti - one pistachio and one with ricotta, which was absolutely amazing. Good capuccino, kind service, variety of choice - all very reasonably priced and served fresh. Strongly recommend!
