17/09/2025: Fantastic atmosphere, the ambiance of the place, its decor, communicative, polite, smiling and helpful team, tasting the dishes served was pure pleasure, really worth it!

16/09/2025: Walk up the street from Archimedes Square... look around, turn your head to the left and luck will smile on you! At the end of a pretty little courtyard, a Chiodo waits patiently for you. The welcome is warm, the service very professional, the dishes very well cooked with good local products. Thank you again for this great lunch (I forgot the stylish decor and the interesting choice of wines).

03/03/2026: Simply put, the pizza was delicious. As vegans, we sometimes struggle with finding flavorful options for pizza around Sicily. Thankfully, here at Sicily they had very flavorful options and they were very accommodating to us. Also the owner Sebastiano promised that he would be adding Vegan cheese and gluten free options very soon!

21/02/2026: Small place with a soul. We arrived at rainy day, but this didn’t made the stay in this cute place any worse. We had amazing twisted arancini, orange salad and the catch of the day. We left with great tastes in our mouth and tummy and happy that we find such a jewel.

08/01/2026: Very nice vegan spot. I stopped by for dessert and enjoyed a quiet moment on the couch with a cappuccino and a vegan cannolo. While I personally prefer the traditional version, I’m glad I tried it. The lady there was very kind and welcoming. I’d be curious to try their food next time, despite the mixed reviews.

04/11/2025: Authentic market gem! This place is located right in the market and serves absolutely incredible food — honestly, it was probably the most memorable meal of our entire trip. The service was friendly, and the vibe is that perfect mix of trendy, hipster, and local. Everything was super clean, beautifully presented, and the food quality was outstanding. A big bravo to this spot — truly deserves all the praise! It was also recommended to us by Sicilians themselves, and now I understand exactly why.

02/11/2025: Very good restaurant Recommended by friends. Very nice when there's a local market with all the fish, vegetable, and fruit vendors. It's a typical Sicilian restaurant with outdoor tables, the bar on one side, and the kitchen at the other. We had calamari and prawns as a starter, followed by pasta with vongole and baby tomatoes. Everything was very good and cooked perfectly. The wine was a lovely white. Very reasonable prices.

28/02/2026: I made a reservation based on the Google Maps ratings, but after digging into the actual customer reviews, I chose to cancel. The number of specific complaints detailing terrible service, defensive ownership, and overpricing makes the risk of another negative experience too high.

24/02/2026: We went for dinner with a group of friends. We loved it, and the next evening we returned, sampling other dishes. Cold fish, focaccia with tuma cheese, caponata, fried fish, various first courses, Messina-style rolls, Sicilian sausage, deconstructed cannoli, and a vast selection of wines that would almost embarrass even the most seasoned wine lover. Courteous, smiling staff. Thank you for making us happy.

30/11/2025: Delicious food and such a nice place to spend a beautiful sunny day , they have seats in the garden where after the lunch you can seat and Chillout, get some drinks. direct access to the beach. Totally recommend

01/12/2025: Tucked in a corner away from touristy streets this is an excellent spot to relax, enjoy food and drinks. Very friendly service and great atmosphere. We stopped by at this bar for wine on the last night in Sicily and had a great time. Great selection of wine along with playful music. Server also took requests to play music of our choice. Highly recommend this place for a good time in Ortigia.

06/03/2026: For me, it's home now, not just a restaurant. I don't want to take anything away from anyone, but for me, eating in Palazzolo is like going to the Taverna. It's been 6 years since we first came here, and it was love at first sight. The excellent cuisine, the quality and deliciousness of every dish, the atmosphere, the kindness, the pleasant hospitality, and that love for cooking and one's work passed down from Father to Son. A great host, he embodies the excellence of Palazzolo cuisine.

03/03/2026: Reservation for Saturday evening. Upon arrival, we were abruptly ushered out by the owner with the promise of "a couple of minutes." Upon my return, after a quarter of an hour of waiting outside, I received an extremely annoyed response in front of other customers. I kept my tone calm and politely replied, pointing out that a legitimate question could be answered politely without that rude tone. The table was assigned after a long wait. Throughout the evening, no clarification was given, no gesture of attention, as if to imply that treating customers this way was normal practice. Delays happen, and that's understandable. Arrogance and inappropriately authoritative tones are also not. Hospitality isn't optional, but a basic ingredient for anyone working in the restaurant business. The food was average, but inevitably tainted by a bitter aftertaste from the attitude I received. I won't be returning.
