04/05/2026: We visited in May, so plenty of seating. The view was amazing and the owners were very kind and helpful. The calamari and shrimp appetizer with lemon juice was great, light and tasty batter and fresh. I had the “titanic puccha”with a swordfish steak with sun dried tomato’s, straticelli cheese, lettuce, rocket. Both the swordfish and the bread were fantastic. We chatted with the owner and he insisted on providing coffee on the house. Try the Cafe Lecesse, espresso and almond milk over ice, it’s the local specialty coffee. If you are passing from Otranto to Santa Maria di Leuca, stop in Santa Cesarea Terme for a great lunch, for both the food and views!

03/05/2026: I'll be a dissenting voice. I'm only sorry for the waiters, who were so kind. A table was booked for two. We arrived on time. The place had been recommended to me by a friend, a regular customer. I trusted her. At the entrance, we were greeted warmly by the kind and attentive staff. Other customers came in after us. Meanwhile, we were served zucchini flowers with mozzarella and anchovies: delicious but full of frying oil. We waited for the first course (baked in a macaroni oven, rather dry), but in the meantime we noticed that the one we'd ordered had been served to those who arrived later. We didn't say anything. We waited some more, but we started joking among ourselves, thinking they'd gone to harvest wheat to make the flour for orecchiette. It was crowded, it was our first time eating here, so we decided to wait. At a certain point, the owner came over to apologize for the delay in service (and this made me think there had actually been an exchange of orders with the table of those who arrived later). My companion smiles and raises his hands (as if to say, "Are we going to make it?"). It was meant to be a gesture of amusement at the mix-up, but the owner was clearly a little nervous, because, in a loud voice, audible to everyone, he began cursing at him, as if he'd made an aggressive complaint, which wasn't the case at all. At which point I suggested he tone it down—after all, nothing had been said and my companion's facial expressions hadn't been offensive at all. I told the owner there was no need for drama, since his monologue had attracted the attention of everyone at the table, who were staring at us. Then he began to apologize repeatedly in a low voice, and I told him that maybe it was time to call it a day. I was feeling less hungry, but we decided to stay. We also ate a roast, then got up to leave. I go to pay and am presented with the bill, which is quite high, but I knew from the start it wouldn't be cheap, so I expected it. We weren't asked if we'd like anything else, we weren't offered coffee or a liqueur (as often happens in other restaurants), but it wasn't due, and there was no rounding up for the unsolicited scolding. In fact, I correct myself, the scolding was complimentary on the house. I would have preferred not to. If needed, I can post photos of the receipt to prove the veracity of what I wrote. We will never return.

24/09/2025: Very good beer, decent focaccia, and a friendly atmosphere that could be improved. It's okay for a quick aperitif... but the price is a bit high for two small slices of focaccia and two take-out beers. They could do better.

10/06/2026: Welcoming, typical Salento atmosphere, absolutely amazing pizza in a crispy or contemporary version, the restaurant offers typical national and international Latin American cuisine... what can I say? Top-notch staff and fair prices! The super light pizza and top-notch empanadas 🔝🔝🔝

07/06/2026: We booked a table at 9:00 PM, and ordered chips for 9:20 PM. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time and were okay, nothing exceptional, unfortunately, the only positive note of the evening. From what I could see, the service was divided among the various waiters as follows: one person was assigned exclusively to take orders, while the others were in charge of serving the dining room, thus serving drinks and refreshments. Unfortunately, nothing worked. We were ready to order at 9:40 PM, but the only person assigned to take orders was rarely seen among the tables, and ordering was quite difficult. After getting up from my table twice to try to get attention, we finally managed to order at around 10:10 PM. Aside from their awkwardness, the waiters were far too familiar, and one of them was clearly upset. Besides the long wait to place the order, the wait for the pizzas was also very long. They arrived around 11:10 PM, and to make matters worse, some of them were wrong. The pizza wasn't bad, but after all that wait, I expected the best pizza I've ever had. If the experience had been terrible up until that point, it only got worse in the minutes that followed. When I asked for the bill, the clearly upset waiter hugged me as if I were his oldest friend and suggested I simply wave my hands to ask for the check, thus preventing him from approaching the table. He then ended by saying he was joking. I think that was the worst moment of the entire evening. When the bill arrived, we started to pay the bill, and when I made a joke about a friend, the waitress in charge of taking orders intervened, responding to my joke and demanding that we pay quickly. I didn't want to make a fuss, because it was already late and I was with friends, and I'm not the type, but I think it was the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life, as confirmed by my friends and other people sitting at the tables next to me, so our experience clearly reflects the common experience at this place. I strongly suggest going elsewhere.

12/04/2026: A place for those who want to share experiences of friendship, conviviality, and excellent cuisine in Grecìa Salentina Today, dip your tortillas in artichoke and speck gnocco with Parmesan fondue... A fantasy off the menu of the day... AWESOME!!!

02/06/2026: Disappointing. Some dishes, such as potato croquettes, grilled vegetables, and meatballs in tomato sauce, were okay, but the mixed antipasto was truly bland and the baked potatoes were very poor. The staff was very friendly.

05/05/2026: We chose this restaurant because it's part of the AIC network. The dinner was satisfying. The atmosphere was relaxed, even though we were in a corner. Just a note about the bathroom: a restaurant like this needs a better one.

02/05/2026: Excellent place in every way; if I could, I would have given it more than 5 stars. We're here for a weekend, and we came two nights in a row. The first night we had some delicious, light, mega pizzas. Tonight we opted for a mussel soup, as anticipated, and for our first course we had paccheri with clams and monkfish, and for dessert, the spumone. Everything was excellent; the first course was superb. The staff was very attentive and courteous. The place is beautiful and refined. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back. Congratulations!

03/05/2026: If we return (today, April 7, 2024, for the 4th time), there must be a reason! Update! It's May 2026, and we've had our first lunch at "La Roscia te lu focalire" for the umpteenth time! Long live all the staff at "La Roscia te lu focalire"! 👍🤩😋
