21/06/2025: We found this restaurant spontaneously on Google. Feeling hungry, we decided to go in and order pizza. They offer some very unique types of pizza. The prices were reasonable. While the service could have been a bit faster, everything else was excellent.
19/06/2025: My favorite pizzeria, I always come here now. The pizzas are excellent, the prices are average and the staff is kind. I don't know what to do without ❤️

09/09/2025: I had an ice cream, it was really good, the staff were polite, and the price was reasonable. Even though I only had an ice cream cone, I was able to use the outdoor seating, which I found very appropriate. Well done, highly recommended place.

04/08/2025: This wasn't what I expected. After my initial visit, I expected a perfect pizza. The pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven. The atmosphere was pleasant. We ordered takeout. The dishes were prepared quickly, and the service was very friendly. After tasting the first pizza (Capricciosa), it turned out to have a distinct... fishy flavor that practically dominated everything else. The pizza was certainly fresh, and the seafood ingredients were probably added by accident. The Bralesaola, on the other hand, was dominated by the sharp flavor of the cheese, which was of good quality. But the bresaola wasn't noticeable. They certainly don't serve bad pizza there, but expectations were much higher. And the Capricciosa certainly shouldn't have a strong fishy aftertaste. In any case, if you're hungry, feel free to come in and try it. Don't expect fireworks, though.

Dopo l’antipasto ho mangiato la Pugliese ed era ottima. Si sentivano tutti i sapori: dalla marmellata di fichi al capocollo, fino alla burrata. Davvero buonissima!
Abbiamo concluso la cena con la pizza fritta con sopra Nutella e crema. Dolce strepitoso!
Avrei fatto volentieri il bis.
Inoltre, il ragazzo che ci ha serviti è stato davvero educato e simpatico.
Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

11/09/2025: The chef took advantage of our lack of Italian and sold us 18 extremely expensive dishes, which we didn't want. He initially implied it was a fish dish with three tapas, but he literally brought us eight tapas plus a whole fish dish for 93 euros. BE CAREFUL 🚨

13/10/2025: We ate well. The restaurant offers a set menu. I've been back and can confirm that the food is excellent. The tasting menu is truly exquisite!
12/10/2025: We visited Gustavo's and had a very positive overall experience. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and approachable, always ready to accommodate guests' needs. The location is magnificent, with a lovely little garden ideal for summer lunches and dinners, and a well-kept, clean, and elegant interior with a rustic touch that makes it welcoming.
The menu is a fixed price and includes five appetizers, a first course, a second course, and a dessert (drinks and cover charge not included). The food is excellent, high-quality, and prepared with attention to detail.
The only real flaw was the portion size. There were five of us, and the courses were served as a single dish to be shared, resulting in a taste rather than a portion, so much so that we had to ask for more of the second course.
There was a bit of a wait between courses, which is understandable given the crowd and the number of seats, but otherwise it was a positive experience. Thank you.

13/09/2025: We were thrilled with the cuisine, service, and location at Calamate.
We stayed in Gallipoli for 12 days, and we ate there four times. It was undoubtedly the best dinners of the entire trip.
The appetizer selection—the burratina, the homemade orecchiette, and the bombette (which we tried breaded and baked here)—were all exceptional, as were the grilled red tuna and the pasta with scampi. The ingredients are excellent, and the price, in my opinion, perfectly in line with what's on offer.
If you're in Gallipoli, it's worth a visit!
24/08/2025: Excellent food, a very beautiful and well-maintained location, but the access road is unpaved and unlit.
The least pleasant aspect was the owner, or whoever seemed to be the owner. He was kind but not at all friendly; ordering with him was like running a marathon. He made it clear he had no time to waste, albeit politely. There was no opportunity to comment on the dishes or anything else related to the dinner. The waiters were very nice.
As mentioned, the food was truly excellent, especially the orecchiette.
