03/10/2025: The food here is truly excellent! The menu is limited, but what's on it is prepared to perfection. Everyone knows about it, so reservations are definitely necessary, but it's definitely worth it.

03/10/2025: Oh my word! What an amazing Gem of a restaurant to find in Northern Italy. We all know how good the Italians are at doing food, but when they combine that with a heartfelt welcome, fabulous tasting food and a genuine passion for sharing their talent for making your meal the best it can be, you know you are in for a treat. A restaurant that has been serving great food for 42 years and continues to be excited at the prospect of entertaining new guests realy has to be on your bucket list. Introduced to an amazing red wine that went with every course and polished off with a grappa from the same grape, combined to produce a fabulous evening. 01/10/2025: The restaurant is very close to the Retici Balzi Wine Hotel. I had an appetizer of typical Valtellina cured meats and sciatt. For my first course, I had pizzoccheri, and I must say I was very satisfied. The view and location are beautiful, and the service is very friendly—a truly beautiful mountain restaurant!

06/04/2025: Un’esperienza davvero unica in un locale particolarissimo, gestito con passione e cura da una splendida coppia italo-giapponese. Lei, la cuoca, è una vera maestra nella preparazione di piatti vegetariani e vegani, capaci di stupire per la creatività e l’equilibrio dei sapori. Ogni piatto è un piccolo capolavoro: ricercato, curatissimo nella presentazione, con un meraviglioso assortimento di colori e guarnizioni a base di fiori eduli che aggiungono bellezza e delicatezza. L’ambiente è arredato in stile minimal, essenziale ma accogliente, perfettamente in linea con la filosofia del locale. Un posto perfetto per chi cerca qualcosa di autentico, sano e sorprendente. Consigliatissimo!

06/04/2025: A truly unique experience in a very special place, managed with passion and care by a splendid Italian-Japanese couple. She, the cook, is a true master in the preparation of vegetarian and vegan dishes, capable of surprising with the creativity and balance of flavours. Each dish is a small masterpiece: refined, meticulous in presentation, with a wonderful assortment of colors and garnishes based on edible flowers that add beauty and delicacy. The environment is furnished in a minimal, essential but welcoming style, perfectly in line with the philosophy of the place. A perfect place for those looking for something authentic, healthy and surprising. Highly recommended!

Persief is a restaurant that captivates from the first moment with its cozy and intimate atmosphere, just six tables for service that is meticulously curated and never distracting. The dishes are a surprising journey: radiant and bold flavors, showcasing the finest ingredients with original yet balanced pairings. The menu offers three different tasting menus, each with its own distinct identity. We chose to pair them with a truly excellent wine tasting, perfectly balanced with each course. The staff is friendly, attentive, and personable: unpretentious, yet extremely professional. You feel welcomed naturally, like at home, yet pampered with a level of care that only great restaurants can offer. A memorable gastronomic experience, highly recommended to anyone seeking something unique in Livigno.

27/07/2025: A warm welcome in a mountain cabin. Dishes are presented with meticulous attention to detail, and above all, with sophisticated, sometimes very unusual, combinations. High-quality ingredients, from the excellent homemade cured meats to the first courses with the aroma of mushrooms and mountain herbs, excellent wine, excellent meat, and finally, a Taneda...Marino and Silvano are very kind...

02/09/2025: A wonderful experience in a very characteristic village just a stone's throw from Bormio. The staff were immediately very kind; having a baby in a stroller, they immediately put us at ease by letting us choose where to sit. The service was impeccable; I'm a wine lover, so I let myself be guided in choosing three glasses, drinking alone—excellent wines. As for the food, nothing to complain about: refined dishes, exciting and authentic flavors! My only disappointment was discovering them at the end of the holiday 😅 Next year, I'll be booking at least 2-3 lunches! Highly recommended 😆

30/09/2025: I went for lunch with two friends on Sunday, September 21st. We ate wonderfully. The appetizer was superb, the blueberry risotto was FABULOUS. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was professional and attentive. We'll be back soon.

27/09/2025: An exceptional lunch. The atmosphere was refined, spotlessly clean, and welcoming. Excellent food, with clearly top-quality ingredients. I'll definitely be back, and highly recommend it!

14/10/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant last weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful; they managed to find us a seat even though we hadn't booked. Once they take your order, they offer you a delicious house entree. The dishes are well-prepared, delicious, and at a great price. To finish, they offered us a house liqueur. If I'm ever near Livigno again, I'll definitely be happy to return (with a reservation this time! 😜)

15/09/2025: We went to the refuge yesterday after climbing Gavia for the first time. Excellent location, service, food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. We'll be back next time.

06/10/2025: The best cakes in Valtellina. Various flavors available, but my favorite is the blueberry one.

05/10/2025: The buckwheat cake with raspberry jam is really good. The only downside is the wait; once inside, they don't respect the line anymore.

30/06/2025: Everything was perfect. Lunch for two on the beautiful panoramic terrace. Farmhouse with genuine and tasty local and regional products. Delicate and tasty blueberry risotto. The owner, her husband and the waitress are very kind people. An experience to definitely try again

12/10/2025: Beautiful castle ruins. Sweeping views of the valley. Normally free to visit. As an English speaker, I was annoyed/surprised that it costs €3 on FAI Day, even though you can't take the guided tour. I recommend that all non-Italian speakers come on a normal day, or learn Italian and then take the guided tour for €3. ☺️🙃

01/09/2025: Castle with well-preserved ruins and a splendid view of the Valtellina valley and the surrounding vineyards. A recommended stop for a lovely afternoon in a FAI heritage site. The restaurant (closed when we visited) features a wonderful vine-covered pergola.

16/07/2025: Abbiamo mangiato gli antipasti buoni I salumi fatti artigianalmente e gli sciatt buono sia il formaggio che la pastella delicati e non unti I primi ravioli di zucca ottimi fatti come a Mantova li sono di casa e gli gnocchi di Polenta con zola e Noci non mi hanno entusiasmato come mi aspettavo, non li riprenderei. I secondi tagliata alla griglia buona e tenera, scotradito di agnello nella norma, Polenta taragna ne ho mangiato di migliori, mancava di sapore. D'esser gelato fatto da loro non entusiasmante come del resto anche il sorbetto al braccio,Panna cotta buona. Qualità prezzo nella media,porzioni normali teanne ,per i primi piatti leggermente più abbondanti del resto. Ci tornerei per assaggiare i pizzoccheri ed il cervo. Ambiente bello e informale, personale disponibile ma con qualche leggera distrazione nel servizio.

05/10/2025: We went there last night for the first time and were very happy with the quality and quantity of the food!!! The girls are very kind and attentive to all the customers and I would like to add that the prices are more than fair for what we ate! Very nice place, and what can I say... Definitely highly recommended!!!

05/10/2025: Very nice place and it looked very promising, but they don't know how to make pasta with venison ragù... it wasn't at all salty and almost sweet, we had a hard time finishing it. I'm sorry because we left feeling disappointed and sad.
