25/05/2026: Great gelato with many flavours available. All for very reasonable prices. There are seats inside the shop for tired tourists. We were served by a very friendly Joshua who deserves a prize for his knowledge and recommendation of what flavours to try. Well worth a short walk after a meal at the nearby Navigli!
24/05/2026: The best gelato in Milan. Excellent ingredients, you can taste the cream, and the gelato is full-bodied and not watered down. Dark chocolate and Contessa are my top flavors. Definitely try!

26/05/2026: Delicious gelato, low in sugar and made with excellent ingredients.
The icing on the cake was the courtesy and conversation-oriented nature of the store manager, a friendly and polite woman who delighted me with a lovely chat.

20/05/2026: A classic place that won't serve you if they don't like you... the waitress herself told me to buy elsewhere... this constitutes the crime of disruption of a public service.
Actually... I had mended my jeans myself... and I think I can understand why they didn't catch me.
Anyway... they had that look on their face that said 'get away from here'... I do my best to be pleasant...
I hope we get along with them sooner or later.
I've made it public, through text messages with the owner, that they reserve entry for whoever they want... just to be fair to my opinion... but then... I also wish them well.

26/10/2025: We visited this wonderful cafe three different times in our 4 day visit. They have excellent snacks, coffee and drinks no matter what time you need a pick me up. Matteo, the owner, is awesome and gave us fantastic recommendations for other restaurants in Como and even made a reservation for us! If we get the chance, we’ll be back again!

18/04/2026: I'm vegan, and last night I dined here for the third time. The staff is incredibly kind and always present without being intrusive, always ready to accommodate every request. The menus are always exquisitely varied, the ingredients are top-quality, and the cuisine and attention to detail are truly excellent, with truly interesting and never boring options. For me, a vegan, if I let them know when I make a reservation (recommended because it's always busy), I always find super delicious and meticulously prepared dishes. The prices are not at all high and perfectly in line with the excellent quality of the cuisine and service. Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money.
I'll just add that Chef Samuele and his team are always a guarantee!!!

19/05/2026: Chanced upon this spot, easily one of my best meals in Europe, had an assortment of meatballs, they tasted quite unique and super tasty! Focaccia was really fresh even though we were eating at night. Definitely a meal we'd remember!

31/05/2026: Arriving in Mantua from Milan, the first stop on the tour was Paolo's shop. The cashier and owner were both kind and empathetic; it was a pleasure to stop for lunch.
The first course was excellent! And the buffet was varied and fresh! Everything was excellent!!

25/05/2026: Perfect, slightly different option for lunch. Pasta followed by whatever you want from the 'buffet', served to you. Beautiful food, very good and unfussy service. Brilliant.

Well-executed dishes, from appearance to taste. Our intention was to go there to try the spaghetti with tomato sauce... it was a surprise to find the magnificent Poppella snowflake among the desserts... a moment with our Southern roots! We were so excited we couldn't take a photo, but it's worth eating!!! Everything was truly excellent! Congratulations.

The dishes are refined and beautifully presented, with balanced portions: you leave feeling satisfied without feeling weighed down. The location offers a fresh, elegant, and intimate atmosphere, ideal for a quiet dinner or a special evening.
With wine, appetizer, first course, and dessert, we spent only €60 each.
Highly recommended.

03/06/2026: Nifty little sandwich shop with an array of tasty options, all prepared on the spot. Everyone enjoyed what they got.
Gent at the counter was friendly and helpful and spoke good English to us tourists.
Only downside is that the shop is small, with limited seating inside -- which meant we did take-away, as did many of the customers at the lunchtime we were there. The staff is great about bringing out to the sidewalk (marked) bags with ordered sandwiches when they have been made.
Would go again.
