08/12/2025: One of the best osterias in Bologna! We stopped in with some friends for lunch, and we were absolutely delighted! Not only were there many vegetarian options (not a given for an osteria!!!!), but all the dishes were delicious, including the desserts! Super competitive prices, a great atmosphere, and super friendly staff! We'll definitely be back when we're in Bologna again!

11/11/2025: Great atmosphere for dinner with friends or family, while enjoying excellent Bolognese cuisine. We ate the best lasagna and tagliatelle in Bologna here...plenty of drink choices including the excellent Gaza Cola. Don't hesitate to go if you're passing through Bologna.

15/10/2025: Unfortunately we had a really bad experience at Trattoria da Me from start to finish. When we arrived for our reservation at 9:30 there was a line of people waiting to be seated. There is only one person at the door to take payments and seat reservations which makes it a long wait time and very crowded in the entry just to be seated. After we finally sat down we ordered and the waiter kept interrupting as we tried to order and suggesting things we didn’t want. Once we ordered and the first plates came they were ok. Then we waited a long time for the second course. We ordered the cod fillet, which was extremely undercooked that you couldn’t even cut it. We asked for them to take it back to cook further, which they said ok and they will make us a new one that would take 10 minutes. 40 minutes later after asking they bought out the new plates that were exactly the same. Chewy and undercooked. They told us they slow cook it in a water bath but that was not made clear by the menu description that said ‘slow cooked cod’. It was not a pleasant dish to eat, we tried a bit and told them that we’re not able to eat it. I am pescatarian and have worked in restaurants with water baths and have never seen a piece of fish served like this. It was very disappointing after waiting so long. When we sent it back the second time the waitress told us we would not be charged and for the fish and asked if we would like some limoncello, which I accepted. Then we went to pay the bill and the cod was still there so when I asked the cashier she told me yes because we are charging you for only 2 instead of 4, and we also gave you the wine and liquor free. They offered me the limoncello and then are telling me they are not including it in the bill. Oh yes and also while we were eating there is a hidden door behind my friends chair, which the waitress made her move so she could go in and out scratching her jacket with the door. I never write bad reviews but I honestly can’t believe I just paid for that. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

04/06/2025: My husband and I just spent the weekend at the Helvetia Hotel in Porretta Terme (31/05-01/06). The hotel is well-kept and elegant, as are the rooms, large and with attention to detail. Excellent cleaning. Friendly and helpful staff. The icing on the cake is the beautiful SPA, created from caves in an air raid shelter; a very suggestive environment, with soft lighting and background music, which makes everything romantic and relaxing.... open until 11:00 pm... the kit is available in the room, with: bathrobe, towel, slippers and cap. I can't wait to go back.... I RECOMMEND IT....

The warm light from the wooden tables tells you: this place isn't about showing off or following trends; it's about elevating the "homely" into a flavor worth remembering. I. Bolognese Spaghetti – The Essence of Tradition Lies in Slow Cooking Before the first bite of the meat sauce, the aroma embraces your senses. This isn't a quickly reduced sauce, nor is it a flavor artificially piled with sugar and spices. It's like the taste of a grandmother spending a whole day tending the stove in the Italian countryside. The beef fibers retain their structure, yet are stewed until tender without falling apart; The sweet and sour taste of the tomatoes is natural, without any pungent odor; The sheen of the olive oil gently connects each flavor. Most captivating are the handmade spaghetti strands, still imbued with their rich aroma. The curves absorb the thick layer of meat sauce, each bite like a combination of the pasta's delicate flavor and the gentle warmth of the slow cooker. This is the highest level of "simplicity." There are no shortcuts, yet every detail reveals the chef's patience, traditional steadiness, and respect for flavor. II.
