14/10/2025: We are from South Korea and have travel to Amalfi, visit this restaurant for our dinner. Everyone was so kind and made us happy from the entrance. Chef's food was just ‘fantastic’!!!!!! I love this place and chef, also every workers! Perfect restaurant for me ever❤️

08/10/2025: Perfect dining experience! Everything from the owner, the waitress, the food and the atmosphere, this was one of the most memorable meals we had in 16 days in Italy! We did it right down the menu with Scallops as the appetizer, then shared the 1st course and the each ordered our own 2nd courses. Each stage of the food was perfection and you could get a sense that this is going to be a special meal right from the start with the appetizer. I'm not a wine drinker so the owner suggested a type of lemon soda they have and it was served with a slice of orange 🍊... I loved it and ordered another... it's like he knew me better than I know myself. The sauces on each protein were smoothly blended with all the flavors working together in harmony! Beautiful view of the Amalfi Coast doesn't hurt either! On the way out I told him I would write a review so here it is a day later I highly recommend taking the time to dine here as you won't regret it. My wife and I both agreed this was the meal of the entire trip!

22/12/2025: Excellent home cooking at fairly reasonable prices, with generous portions. I recommend the local dishes, from Battipaglia and Cilento, but everything is good. The atmosphere is welcoming, family-friendly, and comfortable. The dining room recreates the living room of a typical 1960s/1970s home, complete with period furniture. Even the background music is Italian from the era. Every time I pass through Battipaglia (three or four times a year), I make sure to have lunch there.

16/12/2025: I'll start by saying that I never leave reviews for restaurants, bars, hotels, or places I frequent, but this time I'll have to make an exception. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, which was excellent and perfectly in keeping with the local offerings, the hospitality, and the atmosphere. Finally, a place with a SOUL that's hard to find these days. A place that pleasantly transports you to the scents and memories of the family hearth. All accompanied by a soundtrack from times gone by, the real ones. Congratulations, highly recommended only to those who still want to experience a sense of wonder. T&P

07/12/2025: Congratulations to the entire staff at Il Papavero for offering us a wonderful lunch. Each course was better than the one before, and the same was true for the entire tasting menu. The dishes don't focus on a large number of ingredients, but on simplicity and the care given to a few elements, each with its own specific role within the dish. The menu takes you on a journey that begins with delicate flavors, like that of cuttlefish, and progresses to delicious and savory dishes, like the egg with pecorino cream or the risotto with peppers and nduja. The service is attentive and takes care to pamper guests, without ever being intrusive. Highly recommended!

28/11/2025: Il Papavero was an extraordinary discovery. The head waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, and the entire staff was equally friendly, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The setting is reminiscent of an elegant apartment, furnished with paintings and local artwork that create a unique and welcoming atmosphere. We were given a private room. The dinner, a five-course meal with wine pairings, was delicious from start to finish. An unforgettable experience, definitely worth repeating.

The fish practically dissolved on my tongue, and the flavors followed one another in such a clear, deliberate sequence. I can’t wait to return and discover whatever new creations they’ve dreamed up

12/12/2025: Domenico and Anna are two truly wonderful people, making the experience at this small, quaint restaurant in the center of Cetara even more enjoyable. We had octopus and potatoes—truly excellent—and scialatielli with anchovies and colatura, a true Cetara specialty. Everything was perfect. If I had to find a flaw, I'd say that €7 for a glass of wine is just out of reach, but we're happy to overlook it. We'll be back and recommend it to anyone who asks. Thank you.

09/12/2025: Fresh fish, flavorful dishes, and a deep respect for the ingredients. The appetizers, first courses, and main courses are excellent. I recommend the dishes with anchovies or the typical Cetara colatura, a delicacy. Warm welcome and friendly service. Reservations require a bit of patience, as the place is small and only has limited outdoor seating, but the wait will be well worth it!

13/10/2025: Previously reviewed under a different account, still mine, I'm posting it again on this new account. ... It happens, sometimes you ask for directions to a place to eat and then... Yes, then you hope to meet the same person the next day so you can thank them... I was enchanted, it felt like entering another dimension where you have to leave your worries behind and enjoy the evening... .... What can I say? The staff was competent, extremely kind, attentive, and, for me, "smiling." The service was precise and fast, the dishes were well-presented and even better cooked, from appetizer to dessert a riot of flavors. Thank you all, a great team of young people who work well... I also appreciated the harmony I perceived among the staff, attentive, serious, but very relaxed. There's everything you need to make the occasional diner or regular customer feel at ease. Leave your worries aside and let yourself be pampered... One thing's for sure: I'll be back!!! Oh, I forgot, the prices.... I blessed every euro I spent this evening, 40 euros that I'll never regret. I hope it can be helpful to those like me who are looking for a "special" place for an unforgettable evening.

05/10/2025: A fried food shop in the heart of Salerno, offering a selection of pasta dishes. Freshly made express food, very good. The owner is very kind and helpful, always ready to offer advice. We stopped by for lunch and returned two days later for an aperitivo. Highly recommended for a quick meal.

Young chef Vincenzo is full of inventiveness, with meticulous attention to detail and palate-pleasing twists, while maintaining smooth and harmonious flavors. The tasting menu includes complimentary glasses of wine, the quantity of which is the only flaw we can report. The service is meticulous and attentive, showcasing the local area, which, when done with passion, never hurts. Worth repeating, regardless of the price and the star they don't have, nor even follow.

11/12/2025: I went with my wife last Saturday and was really very satisfied. The home cooking was excellent, just the way I like it, without any fancy gourmet touches. I'll be booking for my birthday on the 20th of this month, with my daughters, son-in-law, and grandson. It'll definitely be a special day.
