Nicola's amazing. He loves what he's doing. It was fun to chat with him in Italian without us even really speaking Italian. We understood each other nonetheless. Tasty house wine, asparagus pasta and fried lettuce pizza. You should also try Nicola's specially - a sugar-cinnamon donut. Nice latin music in the background. Grazie mille.

Great food, freshly prepared to order. The fried foods are wonderful, even the handmade pastas. Very kind owner. I had to remove a star because the final price I was charged was 40% higher than the menu prices. But it's worth the cost because this is no ordinary fry shop.

A fry shop like you saw them many, many, many years ago.

Io e il mio ragazzo siamo andati a pranzo, abbiamo mangiato la pizza fritta montanara, la pizza fritta ripiena con ricotta mozzarella e salame e i calzoni fritti. Tutto incredibile, sia l'impasto che i condimenti. Il proprietario simpaticissimo e disponibile.

Came on a whim when the lights outside the place were still dark and Nicola was still setting up! Saw the reviews online and took a chance and it was one of the best choices I’ve made so far in Italy after being here for over a month! The spaghetti aglio, deep fried pizza (pizza fritta) and the calamari were the highlights of our meal. Have some patience though because Nicola is the only chef and he makes almost all of the food items from scratch. He speaks next to no English but if you make an effort to use some Google Translate and point to the words on the wall he’ll do his best! We had a great time and it made our time in Salerno unforgettable.
