31/08/2024: My partner and I fell madly in love with the dishes of this magical place. As a Matera native who lives in Salento, I can say that you eat with flavors that are REALLY typical of our Matera. The tasty reinterpretations that wink at traditional dishes are very interesting. Delicate but never predictable flavours. Cuisine that brought me back to the authentic scents of my childhood. Courteous and kind staff. Absolutely recommended. Located a stone's throw from the center, with the right privacy. Truly an enchanting discovery. We will return with joy.

26/08/2024: Restaurant in the historic center of Matera in a very private and intimate alley a stone's throw from the viewpoint over Matera Vecchia Historic and very impressive place, interiors entirely in stone with Grottaminarda and room below created from a cave... fantastic Excellent food and well served, all really delicious without any flaw, obviously typical local cuisine with a few tweaks here and there. We stopped by for a quick visit but we will definitely return for the food, location and service, done directly by the very friendly and courteous owner. Very honest bill, even too low for the location and food, I was very satisfied P.s. Matera seen from above is truly a lot

21/08/2024: Well... how to put it. We didn't eat, so maybe the food there is excellent. However, we arrive at a full terrace, we ask if they have room inside, we are told no despite the empty tables. Well why not after all maybe they are not available, reserved or otherwise. We then ask if it is possible to eat outside and the waiter, as friendly as a prison door, tells us that it is not possible that it is full and that we have to wait around 40 minutes.. which still not bad. We say to ourselves too bad this time. It wasn't our surprise to see him come out and set a table for the people who had arrived behind us when we left. Is the rating justified? Probably not, but since the server doesn't play the game. We'll say that it's fair game, it's still incredible to take so many people for idiots.

01/07/2024: VdR: "Vi devo Raccontare" di questa mia esperienza...durante un pranzo in famiglia a Matera. Subito fuori dal centro storico (dai sassi per intenderci), abbiamo trovato questo localino che dall'esterno è abbastanza anonimo ma che all'interno è davvero gradevole. Si sceglie il tavolo, si ordina da bere e per i piatti forti ci si dirige al banco dove vi aspetta una persona molto cortese, disposta a spiegarvi i dettagli delle varie portate. Non troverete i soliti piatti, ma vere e proprie chicche locali. Abbiamo mangiato in 4 e pagato alla fine il giusto prezzo. Ci ritornerò di sicuro al prossimo giro a Matera.

09/06/2024: By chance we came to this restaurant, where we were welcomed with kindness, in a refined environment. Each course contained the passion of the chef and the flavors of Lucania! The dessert was truly delicious.....we will return with friends, because this region must be visited and then....we also know where to have lunch! The owners' choice to commit to the land where they were born is appreciable! Good job guys, see you next time

07/06/2024: The attention to detail, the attention of the staff and the study of the cuisine undoubtedly lead to the VikyAnn. Not the usual restaurant but a continually growing project, with innovation and attention to customers. The kitchen offers dishes designed and executed to perfection with particular combinations that, once tried, you will struggle to forget. We opted for a fish menu, proposed by the owner Anna, who made everyone agree. Trio of marinated dishes including swordfish with berries and poppy seeds, dry marinated tuna with jam and sunflower seeds, sautéed squid on chickpea cream with sage and crispy bacon. This is just a portion of the appetizers we ate. It's really worth it to pop into Grottole and eat at VikyAnn also for the value for money. Among the best restaurants in the area, I recommend you try it!

07/08/2024: I want to leave a positive review for all the staff, without exception... with a 1 year old child I had all the comforts and availability, we ate delicious dishes in an environment which in my opinion is unique in Matera. Good job, everyone....

We deliberately ate typical dishes from the area, also following the excellent advice of the owner, who guided us in choosing the dishes. Kind and friendly, they demonstrated customer care at the heart of their work. Congratulations, definitely recommended.

21/08/2024: Il gelato è buono, niente da dire: cremoso, gusti intensi e ben equilibrati. Però, francamente, la quantità lascia parecchio a desiderare. Non è possibile pagare un certo prezzo e ritrovarsi con due palline minuscole. Vengo spesso e non è la prima volta che succede, il tempo di uscire dal locale che è già finito. Posso apprezzare la qualità, ma un po' più di generosità non guasterebbe.
