04/11/2025: As soon as you step inside this place, you feel like you've entered a TV set: Kitchen Nightmares. But then, as you sit down at the table, begin to fully enjoy the experience, and especially as you wander into the dilapidated "bathroom," you quickly realize you're not in Kitchen Nightmares, but rather on the set of "Operation NAS." We found the "open kitchen" to be a plus, as it allowed us to better see our dishes being prepared by a chef in a T-shirt and shorts, who also served as dishwasher (by hand, as there's no dishwasher, like any other hygiene standard here). The dishes at the table were therefore dirty, as was the entire place, as the photos don't do the harsh reality justice. The owner, dressed to the nines in a suit and tie, thinks he's more like a "four restaurants," explaining that it's a real, typical osteria, though they're thankful no one has ever inspected the exhaust hood. The cheese is on a grater, so guests at different tables can pass it around and grate it on their plates. This entire "authentic Bovino experience," as the host told us, cost a whopping €30 per person, which made us think that if we were the Bovino Pro Loco, we'd immediately file a formal complaint. Before booking, we were warned that the POS wasn't working that day due to connection issues (but not that the menu is fixed), but reading other reviews, it seems to me that the place is in an electromagnetic black hole, since it has never worked. Obviously, no receipt is provided, to reflect the true experience of 100 years ago, when they didn't have cards or cash registers. Don't make the same mistake we did, and if it's already too late, head to the excellent bar and pastry shop across the street, which is very clean, modern, and, above all, complies with Italian health and hygiene standards.

20/09/2025: We had lunch here after a medical appointment at Arco Hospital and before returning to work. It's certainly a unique place, but it's also well-run and serves customers quickly. The dishes are excellent, tasty, and organic. The pizza, vegetable couscous, Greek salad, and even the lentils are excellent. Reasonable prices. We'll definitely return.

28/08/2025: We went to Iris on a trip to the Anzi observatory. The staff made us feel welcome and served us drinks before opening time so that we were comfortable. Food was great. Highly recommend if you are heading up to the observatory to stop here for a bite first.

20/08/2025: Diner was good. Everything was delicous. But the biscotti they also sell in various flavours were the best I ever had! I kid you not!

13/09/2025: As soon as I entered the place, my first impression was of great order and cleanliness, nothing left to chance, everything meticulously arranged. An exceptional variety of flavors. I tried the fig one and it was a pleasure, an exceptional balance of flavors; it had been a long time since I'd tried it. A truly wonderful experience. I promise to repeat when I can.

09/09/2025: We tasted excellent Sicilian granitas (lemon and almond) made with quality ingredients... real ingredients, not syrups or the like! The gelato was also very good. Must try!

La location è elegante, curata nei minimi particolari, con un’atmosfera calda e raffinata che mette subito a proprio agio. Si percepisce da subito una grande attenzione all’ospite, dall’accoglienza al saluto finale, che lascia un piacevole senso di gratitudine e cura. Il cibo è un vero viaggio di gusto. Non si tratta semplicemente di mangiare, ma di vivere un’esperienza sensoriale. Ogni piatto racconta una storia, con sapori armoniosi e sorprendenti. Tra tutti, l’ostrica è il piatto che porterò con me: un’esplosione di gusto unica, capace di rimanere impressa nella memoria. Consiglio Dina a chi cerca qualcosa di diverso dal solito: un’esperienza gastronomica non convenzionale, perfetta per un’occasione speciale o semplicemente per concedersi un momento di autentico piacere.

09/10/2025: A hidden gem in the heart of Bergamo. The place is located in a courtyard on one of the main streets of the city center. As soon as you enter, you'll find a counter full of delicious treats that I assure you will be eager to try. Depending on the season, you can find different types of cakes, both puff pastry and leavened. I chose a carrot and blueberry cake and a cinnamon roll. The cake was delicious, accompanied by a sauce and fresh blueberries. The cinnamon roll was light and had a nice cinnamon flavor. I would have loved to try it with its icing, which I think would have made it even better and more special. The place is beautifully decorated, and you feel pampered here, like you're in a tranquil haven, yet just outside the frenetic city—the perfect place for a break. I'd love to return to try other cake flavors, but especially for their lunch options.

28/09/2025: Called in here for a coffee with my wife whilst exploring Bergamo. Was pleasant enough and lovely to sit in the courtyard to have our drinks.

01/11/2025: Every time I pass through Ferrara, I stop here. The gelato is always top-notch, with super-refined and always new flavors. 🌸 Probably one of my favorite gelato shops. I'm crazy about the mulberry stracciatella flavor. 🥰 I tried the new sheep's milk ricotta flavor, it was amazing!! The girl who served us was excellent, professional, and very kind. Recommended.

28/08/2025: We were looking forward to eating at this establishment because of all the good reviews but I was very disappointed. Especially with the service received from our waitress. She kept forgetting to bring things that we asked for, not once but twice. Once I had to actually get up and go inside the restaurant to get what I needed. People raved about the food but I didn’t think it was anything special. I had a pizza and it was just okay. I was expecting a Naples style pizza but it wasn’t like that at all. It was more of a focaccia styled pizza. The bruschetta was very good with multiple toppings on it. The jacket potatoes are overpriced if you order something that isn’t on the main menu. We paid €15 for a jacket potato! Plus, we paid €4 for a coke! One of my friends ordered a beer and only paid €2.50 for it. Granted, it was a small beer. Apparently, a lot of people love Il Ferracavallo because it was full on a week night. I think this place is overrated and the prices are too steep for a little town located out in the sticks. It’s not like it is in Rome. Sorry but I can’t recommend Il Ferracavallo for the experience I had there last night. I was shocked when I received the bill.

04/10/2025: Fantastic spot - excellent vibes. Initially, we had a reservation down the street, it this corner area invited us right in. The hostess and owner saw we thought our table was too bright, so they brought us out our own table, new, in a top spot! It felt very special and very traditional, family-run restaurant. This place was fantastic- highly recommend…..rabbit was excellent, tiramisu best in Rome!
