01/11/2025: A place that's neither good nor bad. The interior is pleasant, welcoming, and warm. I think it reaches its full potential in the summer with the large outdoor space. The food is average. My wife had pasta with pesto and shrimp. They forgot to add pesto! We had to point this out to them. They took the dish back and added pesto. The price is average. No one would travel across town to eat here. There's plenty of room for improvement.

13/11/2025: Honestly, I didn’t even plan to go out today, but I got a nice bonus on the website (the website is shown in the photo attached to the review). I decided to treat myself and stopped by for some pasta. It turned out really delicious, the portion was big, and the sauce was rich.

Also worth mentioning is the addition of snacks, which is unfortunately becoming less common in bars. We'd love to go back.

The first thing that struck me was the extraordinary selection of pizzas on the menu. I opted for a pizza with fresh ingredients and bold combinations, and I must say that every bite was an explosion of flavor. The wood-fired oven ensured that the crust was perfectly golden brown, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—just how I like it. The restaurant's atmosphere is very welcoming, making it the perfect place to spend a pleasant evening with friends or family. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the service: the staff was extremely kind and attentive. In particular, the young man at the register and the waiter who looked after us were very courteous and helpful, ready to answer all our questions and enthusiastically recommend dishes. After enjoying the pizza, I certainly couldn't miss the homemade desserts, which were a true triumph of deliciousness. I enjoyed a dessert that was as delicious as it was beautifully presented, a perfect ending to an already excellent dinner. It's clear that the desserts are prepared with the same care and attention as the main courses, making the experience even more complete. I also want to emphasize the value for money that Il Piccantino offers. Considering the quality of the food I had the pleasure of tasting, the prices are absolutely competitive and justified. In conclusion, I highly recommend stopping by Il Piccantino if you're looking for exquisite pizza and irresistible desserts in a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.

25/09/2025: If you're looking for a place to spend an evening with friends or family in the Borgomanero/Paruzzaro area, Piccantino is the place for you. The place is clean and tidy, as are the restrooms. The staff is friendly and very dynamic; they bring you the menu as soon as you sit down, unlike those places where you have to wait a quarter of an hour before they even answer. Once you've ordered your food, it's served in a timely manner. Maybe some of the food is a little pricey, but nothing is perfect. I give it a well-deserved four stars. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

15/11/2025: The restaurant seems stuck in the 1970s, and I must admit that the setting has an authentic charm: period furnishings, a slightly retro atmosphere, and that old-fashioned feel. Unfortunately, the management doesn't live up to its potential. The service is extremely slow and often sketchy. Some dishes aren't bad, but the menu is dated, and what arrives doesn't always match the description. A prime example: the pineapple chicken is served heavily vinegared, which is far from standard and unheard of in other Chinese restaurants. It seems more like an "adapted" recipe than a dish faithful to the menu. The situation worsens with the "all you can eat" option. Not only do some ordered dishes not arrive, as if they were "forgotten," but the staff openly complains if you order "too much," which is unacceptable for a restaurant offering this option. I've even been told that I'd left too much food on my plates, when it was just ordinary leftovers: a few pieces of meat with a callus, some rice that was too burnt or cold... nothing excessive. It's unpleasant to eat while feeling watched or judged, especially when the customer is simply enjoying what the restaurant itself offers. If the kitchen can't keep up with orders, perhaps it would be better to rethink the formula, instead of blaming the customers. It's a shame, because with more professional service and an updated menu, this place could really enhance its old-world atmosphere.
