01/07/2025: "A hidden gem in the alleys of Montelanico" We discovered Il Frantoio thanks to an online search, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The restaurant is located among the charming alleys of Montelanico and we had the pleasure of dining outdoors, immersed in an authentic and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for enjoying local cuisine. We started with a plentiful and genuine house appetizer, with flavors that tell the story of tradition. To follow, an excellent coda alla vaccinara: soft, rich in flavor, prepared with great care. The potato dumplings with courgette flowers were a real delight: delicate and well-balanced, a pleasant surprise. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere familiar and welcoming. An experience that left us fully satisfied and that we recommend to anyone who wants to savor true local cuisine in an intimate and characteristic setting. Average prices.

31/08/2025: Delicious food. We had a set menu of local specialties with several courses, including water and wine. Friendly service, who also spoke English. Booking in advance is recommended (busy and limited space). Good value for money. Entrance via stairs or the back door ;)

05/09/2025: The location is very nice; you can eat outdoors in the Atri square, in front of the cathedral. Service was fairly quick. The pizza was a bit thick, and the fried foods were unfortunately too greasy.

10/06/2025: An excellent experience as always! This pizzeria never disappoints. The pizzas are simply delicious: well cooked, with a very high quality dough and seasoned to perfection with superior quality products. The atmosphere is homely, welcoming and very hospitable, which makes every visit a pleasure. What strikes me most is the creativity and care in choosing the weekly proposals, which always vary, surprising even regular customers. Highly recommended for those looking for excellent pizza and a warm environment.

30/08/2025: The atmosphere is simple, but overall they make excellent dishes, and in my opinion, an excellent Neapolitan pizza that I highly recommend. The staff is friendly and helpful.

29/08/2025: Heavy disgust, tasteless meat, schnitzel from frozen minced semi-finished product. Smelly environment, glasses are musty. When paying you have to go to the bar where you stand in line like for a bus!!! For what coperto 8€ family??? I fundamentally do not recommend and I do not understand the positive reviews.

07/09/2025: Amazing experience here today!! We came here specifically after seeing the Instagram page! Warm welcome! They were very kind and guided us through our selection. We had two matcha lattes with various mochi (strawberry, almond, fig, and peanut). Everything was delicious! Fresh ingredients and everything made to order. While we were enjoying our selections, the owner (so sweet and kind) came out to explain his story and the origins of his products. He returned shortly after, offering us a Macha tiramisu... divine!

26/08/2025: First time, approved! New and beautifully decorated, the food is tasty and well-cooked. The quality is evident even from the fact that Chinese people eat here! This has nothing to do with Japanese-Fake all-you-can-eat! This is authentic Chinese cuisine from the Sichuan province. I recommend the Peking Duck and Buddha Leaping Over the Wall (Chinese soup made with various delicacies). WATCH THE PORTIONS! They're very generous! See you next time, Wang!

21/08/2025: I'm from Emilia, and never in my life have I eaten such a shocking fried gnocco. That is, NOT fried gnocco! In the first basket, the gnocco was dry (overcooked) and all wrinkled, as if covered in dots. The waitress thought it was all normal. We asked for the second basket to be cooked less. It arrived less cooked, but still with that strange wrinkled texture. In the third basket, the gnocco was completely smooth and very thick (similar to half a puffed-up tigella). The waitress replied that it was because it had less leavening than the other wrinkled one (???). In short... two completely different types of gnocco, and neither one presented itself, had the consistency, or tasted like a real fried gnocco. Not to mention the absurd explanations we received. For a place that bases its business on gnocco and tigelle... very bad. They should have the best gnocco of all, not the worst.

04/09/2025: Decent pizza with a good (but not extensive) selection of ingredients. Prices are obviously not cheap: a Margherita pizza is €9, then €12 for a buffalo mozzarella, and then everything else goes up. What I find scandalous is the €2.50 cover charge. FOR WHAT? Use of the chairs? Dirtying the placemat? There's no bread or condiments, just a glass, which they obviously take away if you drink a beer (average €7!), and a paper napkin! Perhaps for using cutlery? Unfortunately, I noticed it at home, otherwise I would have called the tax authorities. This is a rip-off! Thanks for the quick response. Given the "leather" placemat and the biodegradable napkin, I'm still waiting to find out what else is behind the €2.50 cover charge. Thanks.

15/08/2025: Excellent pizza; if you're looking for Neapolitan pizza, this is the place to go. The appetizers and desserts are worth it. The place is cute, and the service is up to par with the food!
