An osteria whose walls hold thousands of words from past patrons and beautiful photos. Absolutely worth a try. A well-deserved five stars.

As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find products that suit me, but at Fontanile I had no problem at all. Excellent food, carefully selected and delicious. Friendly and very helpful staff. An experience worth repeating. The atmosphere is informal and cozy.

04/07/2026: Wonderful raw seafood, unique tartare trio pairings! Delicious risotto, and lobster paccheri that will make you cry with the intensity of their flavor! Wonderful hospitality, friendly, kind, and smiling people who give you space to enjoy the meal and the company. We've been back several times, tried practically the entire menu, and it's always incredibly delicious. Bravo!

20/05/2026: Interesting place with a very extensive menu. Pizza is also available. I personally tried their meat and it was very good, especially the pork pluma, well-cooked and flavorful. Generous portions. Prices are reasonable (about €17 per person). Personally, I think the menu is too extensive and risks being overwhelming. The atmosphere is clean, but the tables are a bit crowded. Reservations are recommended.

You can clearly see it was made at the last minute because it was too fresh and melted. Obviously, look at the number 5 backwards, for 90 euros... 03/05/2026: Saturday evening in Foligno with friends. A total of 8 people, including 2 16-year-old girls. My wife calls to reserve a table and they say they're fully booked. After a bit of persistence, telling them we're from Rome, they manage to accommodate us with two tables for 4. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected event that evening, there are 6 of us, and we also inform them of this by phone, out of courtesy; perhaps the two seats we're not using could be used for other guests. We arrive and politely ask to combine the tables, but they immediately refuse, citing safety concerns. We, the parents, sit at a table for 4, and the 2 girls, alone, sit at the other table for 4. When ordering, a young woman explains the pizza of the day, and since it includes anchovies, my wife asks them not to include them. They refuse again, citing the lack of flavor. After my pizza order, I ask if they have beer. By the way, there are no appetizers and no beer mentioned on the menu, at the expense of wine costing €20 a bottle or more. Another disclaimer, as their pizza is leavened for 72 hours and they recommend eating it with wine. This is inappropriate, considering the yeasts clash and "ruin" the flavor of their product. I'm 56 years old, and such insensitive treatment really annoyed me. This girl treated me like a fool who drinks beer (of which I don't know the brand or price). Not a good night. And isn't the customer always right? It's certainly better to sell a €20+ bottle of wine than to please a customer (whom they'll never see again, living 150km away) with a €5 beer. Bad... Bad...
