09/04/2026: I found a specific bottle of wine in this shop, but they gave me a vintage that had already gone bad. This is something a wine shop should know. They also charged me double the price. It's a shame, as they did have a nice collection.

22/07/2026: Like the best trattorias, Trattoria del Moro Aronne is found off the beaten path, away from the establishments catering to tourists exclusively. It is worth the short walk up a side street; trust me on this. The trattoria specializes in Tuscan fare - recipes with wild boar, pigeon, and rabbit (though unfortunately rabbit was not available the day we stopped). My wife had Ombrichelli Porcini e Salsiccia - a hearty fresh pasta specific to Tuscany with mushrooms and sausage. I had the Tagliatelle con Cinghiale Ragu - tagliatelle with wild boar ragu. Both dishes exemplified the Italian culinary ethos of letting the ingredients shine - each a distinct entity that melds harmoniously into a symphony of flavor to create a whole that truly is more than the sum of its parts. So, for example, my wife’s mushroom dish was not distinctly mushroom flavored, but the mushrooms added their bit to the overall dish, which would have been lesser without them. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. Our waiter - who may well have been one of the owners given the level of service provided - was friendly and accommodating in my desire to practice some of my Italian. Trattoria del Moro Aronne carries on the tradition of the small, Italian gathering place where the breaking of bread around a convivial table is the focus. Grazie Mille!

During dinner, a bell rings: it's the owner calling the guests' attention to explain the origins of the room where we were dining, with a historical overview of Assisi. 10/05/2026: We'll definitely be back! Great hospitality, we were immediately put at ease by the friendly and competent staff, even though we arrived a little late, around 2 pm. Top-quality ingredients cooked to perfection, rustic and friendly atmosphere. Excellent Umbrian appetizers, truly delicious meat, and succulent first courses served in a pan. Excellent desserts. 30/07/2026: Kairos is located in the Todi hills, in a very relaxing setting with a well-maintained outdoor area, young and attentive staff, and friendly and capable owners. They have an interesting selection of wines (including by the glass). I'm not qualified to judge their cuisine, but I'll just say it was all very good. I highly recommend it.

13/05/2026: My family (including two dogs) and I stopped by by chance...we'll be back to Trevi for this wonderful restaurant. The hospitality, helpfulness, and friendliness were superb!!! We had tagliatelle with wild boar ragù, beef carpaccio with arugula and cherry tomatoes...the meat was tender and delicious!!!

11/05/2026: Excellent trattoria in the center of the small village of Trevi... with some friends, we spent a delightful day sampling excellent traditional dishes, mostly Umbrian but not exclusively! Everything was delicious, excellent value, and the staff was friendly and always helpful! The freshly baked bread was delicious! We'll definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the veranda!

05/08/2026: A very nice and knowledgeable guy runs this lovely and well-kept little place in the center of Perugia. Platters, sandwiches, and much more are served at the counter (you have to take them and bring them to your table). Truly fresh products!!!! The only downside is they don't have a bathroom, but it's easy to find, given the huge number of bars in the center. Great little place to get a delicious sandwich or platter while sitting outside or inside 🥰. Recommended to everyone! 🤩🥰👍 Bravo!

12/07/2026: Delicious sandwiches! If you want quick bite in a no-frill but cute little corner past the piazza, come here. They don't have restaurant license so you'd have to order at the counter and bus your own table, but very friendly staff and a cute little corner with good sandwiches.

16/07/2026: Good restaurant, delicious food, friendly waiters and reasonable prices. However, the relatively modern design harms the atmosphere and the feeling of the diners, especially the entrance to the restaurant which looks more like a cafeteria than a serious restaurant that respects the food and its guests. It is recommended to ask to dine in the historic interior rooms.

15/07/2026: The staff were friendly and helpful; the waiter who served us even showed us around the rooms, each one more beautiful than the others, practically a museum, and one of the four oldest restaurants in Umbria. We ate divinely, the service was impeccable, and they were truly kind to our 6-year-old son. The price was reasonable. A well-rounded experience if you're passing through Norcia or the surrounding area. Highly recommended.

11/08/2026: A very informal yet welcoming place. Carlo, the owner, and his wife are truly friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, all home-made. The cold cuts and cheese platter is excellent. The homemade bread is good. Prima is good quality.

11/08/2026: We went to Carlo's for lunch. The place is very simple but well-kept, and Carlo was friendly and welcoming. He told us that all the cheeses are his own, and that every dish is prepared by his wife, who runs the kitchen. In addition to what we ordered, he offered us additional cheeses to taste and some desserts. The prices aren't cheap, but considering the portions, they're more than justified! The portions were perhaps too generous, so much so that we couldn't finish everything we ordered (an appetizer to share and a main course each). The only downside is that Carlo is alone in the dining room, and we sat for almost two hours. Not recommended for a quick lunch, but definitely recommended if you want to enjoy good food and a friendly and attentive host!

The gorgeous day allowed us to sit outside, and from there, everything was a pleasure. We were warmly welcomed and served with attention and professionalism: we felt truly pampered. The dish that everyone raved about? The strangozzi cacio e pepe with truffle, a true delight. It was one of those tables where you laugh, eat well, and never want to leave. We'll be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It honestly doesn't get any better than this—in fact, I’ve never had a better sandwich in my life! The Menu & Craftsmanship There is a fantastic variety of options to choose from, with plenty of great choices for both meat lovers and vegetarians. To top it off, you can pair your food with a selection of great beers. The owner is incredibly sweet and prepares every single sandwich with genuine passion. Given all the artisanal, handmade effort that goes into the food, the prices are more than fair. Conclusion I’m staying in the area for the next 10 days, and I definitely wouldn't rule out coming back here every single day. A absolute must-visit!
