Taverna del Verziere In Montone

Located in a delightful village, among the most beautiful in Italy, we entered by chance fasting and late for lunch, but we were nevertheless seated with extreme kindness and served, even though the kitchen was already closed. We ate local ham, salami and sausage, a choice of cheeses, rustic pickles, bread and excellent wine until we were satisfied. It couldn't have happened better. Highly recommended.

The entire menu was available even though it was Easter and the place, which was really beautiful and elegant among other things, was full. The lady who served us was delightful. Dishes with attention to both the quality of the raw materials and the aesthetics. A must try if you are in the area

We were warmly welcomed by the owners who very kindly allowed us to have a snack with cold cuts late in the afternoon, well after lunch time. The snack turned into a lunch with a thousand small tastes of their specialties.

If there were a sixth star I would give that too... Welcomed as if we were at home, in a little place that is a gem. Homemade pasta, authentic flavours, a wild boar stew that was poetry for the palate... and much more to discover in the next days of work in the area. Because obviously my colleague and I get a subscription!... I thank Francesco and his wonderful mother so much for everything, and see you next time!

I'm not sharing the photos because it's supposed to be a surprise! Unique and fabulous experience. We were welcomed as if we were family. The place is splendid, located in a truly characteristic village. The management and service are excellent and there is very high attention to detail. But...first of all gentlemen: the food! Very high quality of raw materials, preparation of dishes excellent both in taste and in plating. I really recommend it to everyone!!!

Una taverna carina in centro al bel Borgo di Montone. Gestione famigliare, molto attenti al cliente, gentili e sorridenti. Un benvenuto con un piattino di prosciutto crudo tagliato a mano, un prodotto ottimo. Un menù con prodotti locali, la pasta fatta a mano...tutti i prodotti molto buoni. Una buona carta dei vini, sia in bottiglia che al calice. Prezzi adeguati alla zona e al prodotto. Da provare con la bella stagione la terrazza che si affaccia sulla vallata.

Il borgo di Montone da solo vale una visita, ma questo bel ristorante a conduzione famigliare pure! Ben inserito nel contesto storico del paese, offre una bellissima location e un menu ricco di piatti locali, tutti preparati dallo staff di famiglia. Tutta la pasta è fatta in casa. Nel locale lavorano nonna, genitori e nipoti, tutti con ruoli diversi. Il servizio in particolare è giovane e premuroso, cosa che ho apprezzato. Il menu non è eccessivamente vasto e prevede molte materie prime umbre, anche questo un segno di particolare attenzione a quanto proposto. Piatti ben presentati e porzioni adeguate Ci torneremo senza dubbio, magari d'estate per sperimentare la bella terrazza panoramica che d'inverno è chiaramente chiusa. Atmosfera informale ma comunque estremamente piacevole, con tavoli ben distanziati. Prezzi in linea con la media della zona.
