27/07/2025: We stayed one night at Alexander's, taking advantage of the opportunity to park our camper on the farm. After the special drive, which takes about 20 minutes uphill from Merano via winding roads, we were greeted at the top by Alexander in a sincere and warm manner. He explained everything to us and accompanied us for the rest of the evening through his incredibly delicious and authentic three-course meal. The hut is lovingly furnished and lacks nothing. Dear Alexander, you are a very special person who gives guests memories that last a lifetime. Thank you so much!

18/08/2025: We visited the Pienzenau Restaurant in Merano on a balmy summer evening last week and were thrilled from the start. The stunning location, nestled between the vineyards and the old town of Merano, impressed us. The magnificent garden surrounding the property is a true gem and invites you to linger. Our seat on the terrace offered a wonderful view of the property and garden – a perfect setting for a special evening. The hostess and her team welcomed us warmly, immediately creating a familiar and homely atmosphere. Culinary delights left nothing to be desired: We enjoyed a fantastic three-course menu that will remain with us forever. The taste, quality, and presentation were of the highest standard. The team was also perfectly prepared for my gluten-free requests – without any prior notice. We would especially like to mention the young ladies in the waiting room – incredibly attentive, courteous, and always warm. All in all, it was an evening we will cherish for a long time to come. One thing's for sure: We'll be back! And next time, we'll take the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Pienzenau. See you soon! Carolin & Christian from Lüneburg Heath

10/08/2025: Unbelievable gem on the way to Trautmannsdorf by foot. Stop here. Best carbonara of our lives. Other menu items looked sublime too when arriving on other tables. Super wines and service. Lush gardens. A real haven <3

09/08/2025: AIC certified, which is a huge relief for celiacs. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is attentive and courteous. The pizza was delicious; I also had a delicious Apulian appetizer. I think they make the gluten-free pizza base themselves because it was delicious. The desserts were delicious. The prices are fair, and we'll be back.

14/07/2025: The food was delicious. The service was attentive, friendly, and very pleasant. We also liked the seating area in the passageway, which was cozy, inviting, and had a pleasant atmosphere. We felt at home and can recommend it.

12/07/2025: This felt professional, and i mean the food and the service. The location ok, when its warm and you want to sit outside ... its in a hallway, can be windy, its not quiet. The inside was cozy but i understand everyone who doesnt want to sit there when it has 30+ celsius. I had the forest pizza which was delicious, as was the pasta dish (dont remember wich one). Just a place where i'd love to come back!

31/08/2025: The residence is located right at the beginning of the village and is easily recognizable from a distance thanks to the rooftop swimming pool. The service, including check-in, was wonderful, and the guests were treated with a high level of professionalism. The wellness area is outstanding for this hotel. The dinner was also a delight, and no one left hungry after a long day of hiking on the Merano High Trail. Our hiking group (11 people) felt very comfortable, received a warm welcome, and were well looked after. My tip: this accommodation definitely deserves another star, with so much attention to detail and passion, which repeatedly made it clear to us: The guest is king.

08/09/2025: We booked a double room with a balcony and half board. The rooms are large, well-maintained, and very clean; the table in the room could have been larger – a second armchair would have been nice, too. The balcony, with its table and two chairs, was very usable. The room had air conditioning with no time restrictions, which was very good. The bathroom was sufficiently large, with a first-class shower. The soundproof windows held up well. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable; our private Magenta TV stick worked perfectly and smoothly. The only downside: a very small TFT monitor – which was also set too high :-( The pool/garden was great; also the whirlpool and the bright (large glass) sauna. Two bus stops in the immediate vicinity; fantastic! The staff – really all of them! – were natural, attentive, and always competent and friendly. Food: Breakfast was all there – except for the fried egg with bacon >shame< and fish (...but do you really need fish at 9 a.m.!?). In the evening, there were two set menus to choose from – and if necessary, you could also choose from the children's menu (fries/pasta - schnitzel, etc.). [We found the price/wine for dinner at 0.1 L in the glass to be excessive. Beer, etc., was fine! ... My suggestion: Please improve the wine list here; there could be some improvement 😏 ] Conclusion: Nice vacation – nice hotel 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️

02/09/2025: The location is very central, and Merano is truly beautiful. The hotel has everything: a pool, a spa area with a sauna and whirlpool, a rooftop terrace, and bathrobes and towels are available at reception. The staff is very friendly! There aren't many parking spaces at the hotel, but luckily we always had a spot.

19/08/2025: We were very excited when booking and seeing the beautiful pictures on Booking and Google, but when we arrived at the hotel, we were shocked by the reality. The air conditioning is old and does not work well, the rooms are not renovated and do not match the beautiful modern pictures at all. The reception and the man Andreas were cooperative, but the hotel management does not give the employees any authority to solve problems radically and satisfy both parties, as he offered us fans and said, “I do not have anything to help you except giving you fans!” His approach was polite and courteous. For your information, Booking management asked the hotel by email to cancel the reservation for free and they refused. It was a very bad hotel experience in a beautiful city. We did not enjoy its beauty because of the hotel, unfortunately. 13/06/2025: Travel guide - Tipo, a real hit! Located in a beautiful residential area, on the inviting summer terrace, lovingly prepared, delicious dishes are served in a friendly and unpretentious manner. We visited twice in one week and were thrilled. Reservations recommended.

02/08/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A hidden gem in Merano! The Caprese with Burrata was light, fresh and beautifully plated — a perfect summer starter. The venison filet was expertly cooked, juicy inside, and paired with vibrant grilled vegetables. Excellent service and calm ambiance. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for refined Alpine-Mediterranean cuisine. 📍 Restaurant Festival

16/08/2025: We stayed in a triple room since this was the only available option for 2 adults and 1 kid. Considering the price they charge per night in a hot season ($500), this was certainly not worth it. The room rate was 1.5x higher because we had a 6 year old kid with us, although the space was the same as the standard room, with the only difference of having a side bed a set up. The room was too small, with no space to unpack 3 suite cases each of us had. Not to mention an ironing board when needed. Most importantly our room was facing the other building so the location next to the beach and with the view of the mountains (one of the main selling points of the property) was not there for us. We could have booked the same room at half the price. The property positions itself as a luxury one but it is far from that level of you look at the details. The service is great, and breakfast is outstanding but overall the vibes we got to experience were not to our taste. I expressed our concerns about the room to the front desk but did not get this resolved when we came back after a short trip to Florence, although we were assured we would get a nicer room. In addition, the beach club (Le Pace) associated with the hotel is quite worn out. We made a day trip to Lido di Camaiore (next town) and were pleasantly surprised to find a much better beach with better amenities and much greater service. All in all, quite disappointing, would never get back.

06/09/2025: While I was sitting in the garden, a lemon fell straight on my head from an overhead balcony. It hurt and was unpleasant, especially since none of the staff bothered to ask if I was okay. For a venue that welcomes outdoor customers, I believe it's essential to pay more attention to safety and how spaces are managed; I won't be returning because it's too dangerous.

04/09/2025: We held our reception here after our civil wedding and were absolutely thrilled! Despite the café being full, everything was perfectly organized as discussed beforehand. The private area in the backyard was beautiful, and the snacks and drinks were simply outstanding. Many thanks to the entire Kuntino's team for this unforgettable day – we highly recommend it!
