My time coffe and food

16/12/2023: I am a pizza chef out of passion.
The few times I order pizza I only get it here.
It is one of the few pizzerias in Merano that uses Caputo's fantastic flour (which I also use).
You really feel the flavor of the different pizza.
Excellent service.

17/02/2024: Una pasticceria come se ne trovano poche in Italia. Grandissimo assortimento di torte e lievitati sempre freschi e di ottima fattura. Personale cortese e preparato, pronto a consigliarvi nella scelta migliore. Le loro fette di torta hanno l'altezza giusta per essere arruolate nei Granatieri. Buon rapporto qualità/quantità/prezzo

03/03/2024: The music is a bit loud but it’s clear: you speak louder, you get thirsty, you order more drinks. You can pay with card. English, German, Italian languages are spoken. But you don’t see the menu/prices except the huge list of very expensive vines. However espresso, beer and snack was only 7.5 euros as of spring ‘24

29/03/2024: Very friendly and attentive waiter with a great mood! You can enjoy coffee and cake here while listening to popular music. Cakes and tarts are very tasty. The small restaurant is comfortably furnished. The price-performance ratio was right (prices are as usual in Meran old town).

Walking near the Cathedral of San Nicolò we were attracted by the window full of desserts of this pastry shop, in particular by the Sacher slices on display, so we went in to taste a portion.
The place is small, but there are several seats. We sat down and ordered a coffee and a portion of Sacher (from the expression of the boy who took our order we understood that perhaps he hadn't appreciated that we had only ordered a portion of dessert to share and a coffee, but beyond that he didn't say nnt about the facial expression. For the first time since we have been here in Merano, coffee was served to us with a glass of water without us asking (which was much appreciated) and the Sacher far exceeded our expectations! In my opinion I have never eaten such good Sacher outside of Vienna.
The bill was €7.50, acceptable for the size of the portion and the goodness of the cake, a shame about the service, very little would be enough to make customers feel more welcomed.
All things considered, we will definitely return before leaving to eat another slice of Sacher!!!

04/04/2024: We were very satisfied and were served courteously. Poppy seed strudel with vanilla sauce was very tasty. Pastries and cakes are displayed in display cases, making it easy to decide what to order.

Person who cannot be in contact with the public
25/12/2023: Very bad experience due to rude and heartless staff. We sat down and ate with 8 people. Before leaving we asked for a take away sandwich for a little girl who was at home with a fever and we were told that it was impossible, without giving any reason! We asked for explanations multiple times but no response was given. All this on Christmas Day, in spite of "we are all better". You really should just be ashamed!

10/10/2023: Die guten alten Zeiten sind vorbei. Ich war über Jahre Stammgast im Darling. Heute wurde ich bitter enttäuscht. Cocktails zubereiten und Kaffee kochen hat man scheinbar verlernt. Nach dem Betreiberwechsel werd ich mir wohl ein anderes Stammlokal suchen müssen.

09/10/2023: Wir sassen lange am Tisch ohne bedient zu werden. Dann stellen wir uns in die Schlange (dachten ev. Selbstbedienung) ... wiederum lange Wartezeit auch als wir an der Reihe waren. DANN die Mitteilung, Bedienung sei an den Tischen . Also setzten wir uns wieder. Nach der Bestellung wurde nur die Hälfte gebracht,, erst auf Nachfrage erhielten wir unsere Bestellung.
Das Personal schien völlig überfordert und unorganisiert.
Drie Croissants waren aufgeweicht, der Eistee stark verdünnt...
Einzig die kleinen Teilchen waren super, deshalb 2 statt nur ein Stern.
15/09/2023: Di una lentezza ineguagliabile. Vengo abitualmente da un anno il mattino ed io come tutti attendiamo anche 20 minuti prima di essere serviti. Dovete investire sul personale soprattutto in orario di maggiore flusso quindi il mattino dall’apertura. Peccato che un imprenditore non abbia occhio per queste cose basilari in una attività, essendo pure spesso presente.
