04/06/2026: We were here two years ago and everything was great. Yesterday we ate here again and it was disappointing. "Duck with vegetables" meant "duck with a sauce in which half a slice of zucchini and half a slice of carrot had been grated" on a lettuce leaf. Definitely not a culinary highlight. The Thai-style shrimp were also unappetizing. A shame.
26/05/2026: Absolutely not recommended! The food was unfortunately the worst Chinese we've ever had. But what made the visit completely unbearable was the fact that people were smoking while eating. We found it extremely disgusting to have our plates in front of us while sitting in cigarette smoke. A definite no-go in a restaurant. Anyone who values a pleasant atmosphere and good food should steer clear of this place.

09/05/2026: A very nice restaurant with a great appetizer platter for two and delicious pasta dishes. Friday is fish day (only on Fridays!), which we will definitely keep in mind for our next visit.
We've always been able to get a table. It's probably best to make a reservation, though!

02/05/2026: A family-run restaurant with warm and welcoming owners and attentive service: The excellent food was delicious. The tortellini and pizza are homemade. Good value for money. My wife and I sat with our three dogs on the covered terrace on the first floor and looked out onto the charming little outdoor area with its fountain. Enjoying our meal and the sunshine, we felt completely on vacation. Thank you.

17/01/2026: Absolutely world class bread, right here in Merano! The skill and dedication of the baker is clearly evident from the moment you walk in and as such, the offerings here are as good as anywhere in the world. It's only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and it sells out quick so get there early. Or better still, order everything online via the website and then you can relax and just pick up. Thank you to the master craftsman behind the operation. Highly recommended!

02/06/2026: The restaurant is located on a busy street, which unfortunately doesn't do the atmosphere any favors. Of course, I realize that the restaurant isn't to blame for this. The staff is very friendly and the pizza is good, but nothing special.
30/05/2026: Pizzeria Ortler is located on Via Palade in Merano. The staff is welcoming, but the pizzas, although cooked in a wood-fired oven, are not generous in terms of quality. The location, despite its small size, is well-maintained, and the tables are well-arranged.

28/12/2025: Here for dinner, we enjoyed excellent dishes (the risotto and venison were delicious), tastefully prepared (both in form and substance) and carefully served by courteous and attentive staff, who were never intrusive. All in an elegant and relaxing atmosphere.
The bill was absolutely in line with the quality of the offerings.

The service is friendly and attentive. The food was freshly prepared and beautifully presented, and we were very satisfied with the taste.

28/04/2026: You probably won't find Da Dante in any Merano restaurant guide. Which is a real shame. Da Dante is located under the grandstand at the horse racing track. Calling it unassuming would be an understatement. From the outside, it doesn't look all that impressive. Inside, the ambiance is simple, or rather, understated. But the food is fantastic! Delicious, generous portions, and absolutely fair prices. For me, it's a real hidden gem in Merano. You should definitely make a reservation.
