21/07/2026: The food is wonderful. I go there for lunch several times a week and am always very satisfied. The set lunch menu usually costs between €13 and €20. Included in the price are a main course, half a liter of water (sparkling or still), a salad, and either an ice cream or a coffee. The menu in the picture shows the two mixed appetizers.

01/06/2026: The food was good. However, the service could be improved. We had the lunch menu, which included salad, main course, coffee, and water. We never received the water, and the coffee only came after we asked for it. In general, we rarely saw the waitstaff.

31/05/2026: Located on the promenade in Brixen, the restaurant has a good concept, but it won't be immediately obvious to everyone. The daily risotto looked interesting, but had absolutely no flavor. A shame. Even the pumpkin seed oil couldn't save it. The sweet potato fries were nice, but nothing special. The truffle dip was appropriate and interesting. The friendly waiter urged us to order, as the kitchen was about to close. Fifteen minutes later, new guests were seated at the next table and were able to order without any pressure. That wasn't exactly clever.

25/07/2026: The entire team is so warm, friendly, and helpful – you immediately feel at home here. The food is incredibly delicious, especially the salad and breakfast buffet with homemade yogurt, among other things. Large rooms, comfortable beds, and a bus stop just a 3-minute walk away. What more could you want? :)

21/07/2026: We had dinner at this hotel. We were welcomed by a very kind man. The dinner was excellent, with the truly special traditional rye soup. He told us, with passion and love for tradition, the history of the old farmhouse and showed us the old smokehouse, still preserved in excellent condition. We will definitely return. 25/07/2026: The beef in this town was delicious! No wonder it's free-range cattle from the mountains. The steak was perfectly seared, and the mashed potatoes, diced tomatoes, and diced eggplant with balsamic vinegar were really good! If I come to the Dolomites again, I'll definitely eat here. The local specialty, Schüttelbrot with fennel seeds, was firm and tasty.

16/07/2026: My husband and I had dinner at this hidden gem and had another fantastic experience. We first visited three years ago with our children and never forgot the beautiful courtyard nor the exceptional food, so we decided to return. We’re so glad we did! Once again, the food was outstanding, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was simply wonderful. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back again.

The food deserves special mention: it's not only incredibly delicious but also prepared with meticulous attention to detail. Every course is a delight and demonstrates the high value placed on quality here. A true highlight is the "Schwarze Stube" (Black Room). It boasts a cozy, almost magical atmosphere, perfect for relaxing, laughing, and simply enjoying yourself. It's the ideal spot to wind down the evening and have fun together. A significant part of this special experience is also the owners' two sons, Alexander and Thomas. They each bring their own unique charm: attentive, friendly, and always up for a bit of fun. You can immediately tell that they are passionate about what they do and want to make their guests' stay as pleasant as possible. The friendliness throughout the entire hotel is truly exceptional – here, you don't feel like a guest, but rather like part of the family. In conclusion: The Hotel Alpenrose is a place you'll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended.

08/04/2026: A superbly run inn with stylishly renovated and modern rooms. Stunning views over Brixen and the Dolomites. A friendly host who discreetly attends to his guests without being intrusive. The cuisine is a highlight. If you have the chance, you should eat here. There's no need to drive into town. You won't find better food anywhere else.

06/01/2026: A charming place just 10 minutes from Bressanone. Excellent dinner and breakfast. The room had a fantastic view of the Dolomites and Bressanone. Friendly and helpful staff.

15/05/2026: The website says the restaurant is open, but there's a sign at the entrance saying it's closed until September 19, 2026. Not ideal if you make a special trip there.

28/02/2026: I spent a wonderful week at this hotel in February 2026 as a base for skiing in the Val Gardena resorts. Access was easy, and the favorable rental price made up for the longer journey. It's also a pleasure to drive along the winding mountain roads, which aren't very common here. The very friendly, communicative, and helpful owners are also a great encouragement.

23/12/2025: We had made a reservation online for a group of 8 people 2 hours in advance. The reservation was confirmed via email. However, there was initially no table available for us when we arrived. After a 20-minute wait, we were finally able to get a table. However, we could only stay for 90 minutes because the table was actually reserved for someone else. The food was very good and the staff very friendly.
