06/01/2026: While I was disappointed that Apostelstube was closed, The Elephant Restaurant was one of the best meals I’ve had in recent memory. The tagliatelle with spinach cream and white truffle (getting extra truffle takes it over the top) and the roe deer saddle with on chestnut cream with brussel sprouts and black currant jus were simply spectacular. These are dishes I will remember for a long time. I could not recommend this restaurant highly enough!

27/01/2026: This is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Unfortunately, you aren't informed before ordering that you're limited to a maximum of six mini-dishes. Anyone who has previously visited similar restaurants with a digital ordering system and paid around €17 will assume it's all-you-can-eat and the number of dishes is unlimited. This isn't the case. Had I known this, I wouldn't have ordered soup. As it was, I left the table hungry after six tiny bites. An appetizer for around €17 – that's all it is, unfortunately. Quite disappointing. Regarding the food: I ordered edamame, which arrived cold and soggy. The sushi is rolled far too loosely, so it falls apart when you try to pick it up with chopsticks. If you like your (necessarily ordered separately) chicken served at the same time as your noodles or rice, this isn't the place for you. There was a ten-minute gap between my side dish and main course, so the pasta was completely cold by the time the meat arrived. The staff only speaks Italian—no German or English. This certainly doesn't make communication easy. All in all, not recommended. Neither the food nor the price is good. Better to invest a few euros more and save yourself the hassle.

18/01/2026: Nice restaurant, but very chaotic and packed with people. It's not fair to call it an all-you-can-eat. I wouldn't say we had a bad meal, but it's not a place I'd return to. As a fan of this type of cuisine, I have to say that some of the menu choices were very good, but others were rather disappointing. Skip the spring rolls and tempura... I didn't find the quality/price ratio reasonable. Parking was difficult to find. I wouldn't recommend it.

21/08/2025: At the entrance, there's a sign that says "Gluten-Free Ice Cream," so we went in to enjoy a cone; my daughter is celiac. The manager took a gluten-free cone, but he handled it with the same gloves he used to sell the regular cones. It's not so much his ignorance on the subject... what left me speechless was that, when I pointed it out, he asked us to leave! A terrible experience! I'll add one thing: that "gluten-free" sign is misleading; you shouldn't gamble with people's health. I would urge the relevant authorities to inspect the place and take action.

28/12/2025: A pleasant restaurant located in a historic building, just steps from Domplatz. The interior is beautiful, with its vaulted ceiling. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is reminiscent of an ancient inn.

24/09/2025: A really nice spot right under the historic arches next to the cathedral. We especially like the outdoor seating. Pleasant service: matter-of-fact, professional, and attentive. Sitting here under the arches in the rain is still a cozy pleasure—if you manage to snag a spot. The plum cake and apple strudel were perfect for cheering us up.

30/11/2025: A pleasant experience, although the service was poor; the waiters were inattentive and unwelcoming. The portions are generous and of good quality; the quality/price ratio is reasonable. I recommend it for a quick lunch.

01/10/2025: My husband and I can fully agree with Mrs. Kirn's review. We visited Caffè Marilyn several times in September and were always greeted and served in a friendly and welcoming manner. It's a great place to stop for water, wine, beer and small snacks. Yes, the toilets are a problem, but what's the problem if you're not a guest and have to pay 1 euro and ask politely? The toilet is super clean and paper, soap and water all cost money. I don't understand the grumbling. We'll definitely stop by Marilyn's on our next vacation.

25/09/2025: We love Café Marilyn. Good coffee, good wines. The small snacks are also very tasty. I'd like to make a comment to those users who complain about the restroom. The café is NOT a public restroom. And there's only one on the first floor. If you're a guest, you can of course use the restroom. Otherwise, you'll have to pay one euro. That's not offensive. Try going into a shop across the street and asking to use the restroom. What would the owner say to you? Just today, Marilyn told us some anecdotes about the "restroom guests." It's pretty embarrassing what some "guests" will do to get to the restroom. And all for one euro. Just remember that cleanliness, paper towels, etc. also cost something!! The problem probably lies with the city, that the public restrooms aren't well-signposted. There are supposedly five of them.

05/03/2026: We were at the church for a funeral when my daughter suddenly had to use the restroom urgently. Unfortunately, the public restroom was out of order, and the two other bars nearby were closed. So we quickly went into this bar, and I immediately gave the waitress €4 and politely asked if my daughter could use the restroom for a moment. The waitress said I had to ask the manager first. So I went to the manager, handed him the €4 as well, and explained the situation. His reply was very curt: No, we should use the public restroom. I explained again that it was out of order and that we didn't want to drink anything because we were at the church for a funeral—and that I was happy to give him the €4 (which is actually more than a glass of mineral water would cost). His only response was: "Well, then you'll have to do without it." I was so ashamed of myself, especially in these times, to treat people like that, especially in such a situation!! I hope Stefan, you never find yourself in a situation like that again!

01/03/2026: Since the change of ownership, unfortunately, they're unfriendly... quick and lots of food and drink... then they leave quickly... then you're a welcome guest...

24/02/2026: I was skiing in Plose in February and ended up at the hut around lunchtime. It can get crowded at lunchtime. A lot of the building seems to have been renovated, and there's still some construction going on. Great view from the large window, if there's space. There's another room in the back, which was quieter. Depending on the weather, you can also sit outside (sheltered from the wind). The food was good, and so was the café d'orzo. The service was friendly and attentive.

02/01/2026: On Saturday evening, the restaurant was practically empty, so our reservation proved unnecessary. Many negative reviews mention the service. However, ours was friendly and quick. The menu is suspiciously extensive and even mentions the possible use of frozen food. The pizzas, however, are baked in a wood-fired oven. The quality of the dishes we ordered from the daily specials menu was okay, nothing more. Three prawns on the risotto seemed very meager for €18. The veal fillet was tender and well-cooked. Overall, though, the portion (including the side dishes) was too small for €29. The presentation on the plate was completely uninspired. We even wondered if the Ramazotti we ordered was actually the real deal. In short: the prices are completely disproportionate to the quality. It's acceptable in a pinch, especially if other restaurants are packed.

31/12/2025: Dated but welcoming atmosphere. I must say the food is really good. We had dinner there for New Year's Eve. The pizza, although thin, is really good. For starters, we ordered the canederli and the farmer's plate. Very good and generous portions. We spent the right amount.
