The food was simply outstanding – the dumplings were homemade, the Kaiserschmarrn was a dream. 🥰 Everything just fits perfectly here: cozy atmosphere, great hosts, and cuisine you won't forget. A visit is highly recommended – we'll definitely be back 🫶🏼

31/08/2025: We stopped there in July on the way back from a long bike ride. A very rustic inn; the cheese dumplings were the best I've ever eaten in South Tyrol. The spaghetti al ragù was also delicious. The red wine was very good. The entire place, as mentioned above, is very rustic and not your typical tourist restaurant. If you don't need fancy food, this is a must-visit. We'll definitely stop by again on our next vacation at Lake Kaltern ❤️.

04/08/2025: The venue has a very charming and relaxing outdoor plaza. The fair rating comes from the fact that the wine list is overpriced in my opinion (I don't think I've seen a bottle under €28-30) and there are only two types of draft beers (Baladin National Alley and Nazionale). Anyway, it's a good place for a different drink.

04/08/2025: The Talbauer Inn is an ideal stop on the way from Auer Castle to the Hochmuth mountain station—perfectly located with breathtaking views of the Etschtal Valley. The food was excellent: freshly prepared, authentic, and a real hit in terms of flavor! Particularly noteworthy: the fluffy Kaiserschmarrn, the hearty dumplings, and the noodle soup, of which our son ate two portions. That alone speaks volumes! The terrace offers a wonderful view of the valley, the atmosphere is relaxed and informal, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Payment can be made conveniently by card or cash—very straightforward. An all-round harmonious experience in a magnificent location. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to combine enjoyment with panoramic views!

12/07/2025: 11/10. Wonderful place. Beautiful location. Service so good it exceeded my wildest expectations (my partner and I always share our portions, and here we didn't even have to ask for a second plate; they just split our portion in half right away). You can buy cheese on site. We bought regular cheese, cumin cheese, and Rocotta cheese, along with strawberries—all made on site—and made our own cheeseboard at home. I've never eaten better strawberries. I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back.

20/08/2025: We had lunch on August 15th, so the service was a bit slow, but they were very courteous and quick to bring the food. Everything was delicious and the prices were fair!

20/08/2025: The game tagliatelle are delicious, and the charcuterie board is excellent. The only small flaw is the music, which is too loud for a mountain restaurant.
