28/02/2026: We went with friends to "Festival Pizza." The atmosphere was pleasant, and the waitresses were nice, right up until they had to serve us. We thought we were going to have real Italian pizza, and good pizza. As it turned out, it wasn't real Festival Pizza. We got a flat pizza like a tortilla, not resembling Italian pizza at all (and we've eaten at many restaurants in various parts of Italy, and this pizza was completely out of place in that country). The pizza had a pitifully small amount of ingredients. One black olive per slice, one small pepperoni per slice. The waitresses kept asking if we wanted more pizza. When we said yes, we got the impression they were unhappy that we wanted more. It's no wonder we wanted more, since the pizza was thin, with practically no toppings; we were simply hungry all the time. It was practically just crust, and thin as a tortilla. The only thing about a 4x cheese pizza was that it had more ingredients; we were stuffed with cheese. 😅. We ate pizza at another restaurant in the same town, and by comparison, the diavola here was terribly bland, pathetic, while the other one was packed with ingredients and had fluffy dough. At the end, we were told we were "eating too much." Which was completely unprofessional... How can you say that to customers? It discourages them from coming back. We felt like inferior customers, second-class in every way. When other customers came in, the waitresses immediately offered olives, and we had to ask for them. In other restaurants, they always offer us olives from olives. We felt like you were doing this to save money on us. If we had known it would be like this in terms of food and service, we wouldn't have come to the Pizza Festival...

The dishes were exquisite!!! The music was quite loud in the next room, but it didn't bother us, especially given the festive atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and the price was reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommended! We'll be back!!!

05/01/2026: Piadina and toast are truly miserable, no gluten-free options. What's the cost of keeping a pack of gluten-free crackers? So you don't waste four euros? It's only good for coffee, because I'd have something to say about herbal teas. Never again.

07/12/2025: Probably a good restaurant, but the service was under any standard. We were waiting more than half an hour to be able to order just few drinks. Waiters were asked by us twice to receive the order, but they ignored us completely. After 40 minutes we left and changed for another chalet where the service was nice and immidiate (Marilleva 1400 bar).

15/10/2025: It was one of the best vacations of our lives, and this is undoubtedly thanks in large part to the entire staff at the Alaska Hotel, who made us feel at home for two whole weeks, even with a newborn in tow. Kindness and attention to detail, not to mention the Michelin-starred cuisine. Thank you for everything, and keep up the good work.

We ordered: strangolapreti (acceptable), Teroldego risotto (good), tagliata (beef steak), and two strudels with ice cream, as well as two 0.33 liter beers. Positive notes: The Teroldego risotto was well-made, creamy, and enjoyable; the strangolapreti were average. Concerns: The tagliata (beef steak) was tender but flavorless, lacking character. The two strudels with ice cream were the real downside: hard, lacking in flavor, and almost inedible (one was left half-eaten). Poor value for money: €79 for a meal that, aside from the risotto, didn't meet expectations. Suggestion: pay more attention to the quality and freshness of the desserts and more care in preparing the meat. I don't think we'll be back.

13/11/2025: The spaghetti alla carbonara turned out to be spaghetti with cream and cooked bacon. This dish should definitely not be advertised as carbonara. The wild boar pasta was also carelessly prepared and tasteless. The service was attentive, and the owner didn't charge me for my spaghetti, which I found very accommodating.

15/11/2025: The nice thing about this place is the view, the furniture and the chestnuts. Service is very slow. I am intollerant to gluten and asked for a second without the knödel and made sure that everything else was without flour and yet they brought the meal with the knödel. Since I didn't want to make a fuss about it, i just picked up the parts that didn't touch the knödel. I wouldn't recommend it.

01/05/2026: We stayed at the mountain hut on Watles and were absolutely thrilled! The food was outstanding – the Kaiserschmarrn was especially divine. Add to that a wonderful atmosphere and incredibly friendly service that made us feel instantly welcome. Even though the lift was closed in the summer of 2026, the hike was definitely worth it – we hiked up in about an hour, and it was worth every minute. A clear recommendation for anyone who loves good food and a beautiful mountain setting. We'll definitely be back!
