Rauthof In Merano

The location and the associated distant view, especially from the outdoor tables, are unique. Especially the hiker who has to climb the steep Katzensteinstrasse from Meran, or who wants to take a last break before reaching Meran after a long day of hiking, appreciates the existence of this tavern. The selection of food and drinks is quite diverse. You should definitely dare to try the characterful home-grown wines. They go perfectly with typical South Tyrolean dishes. When the weather is bad, it's also very comfortable inside. The host family is always friendly, attentive and accommodating, no matter how busy they are. You immediately feel comfortable.

Wonderful place, both the life and the setting, the very kind owners and the food is amazing, and the value for money is more than good, I recommend it to everyone

We have been to the Rauthof for the second or third time and have to say it is always a culinary experience, from the fantastic wines to the blood and liver sausages with sauerkraut and much more, of course everything made in-house. Location tradizionale, bellissima vista panoramica. A fine novembre si gode a ancora con il Menù Toergellen. Servizio cortese e rustico. Buoni vini della casa. Prezzi incoraggianti, soprattutto rispetto ai ristoranti della zona

Characteristic restaurant, located outside Merano almost at the top of a hill, the view of the valley is enchanting, parking is not exactly easy, there are few places near the restaurant. The restaurant is small but welcoming, offers traditional dishes that satisfy everyone, at average prices. The bathroom is not particularly comfortable as it is located in a room with external access to the main room. Courteous staff.

Typical family-run farm just above Merano, cured meats and wines made by them as well as the other dishes. Beautiful place even just for an aperitif. In autumn they also remove them in the evenings

Großartig gelegener Hof, auf dem alles richtig gemacht wird: herzlich familiäre Atmosphäre, hochwertige, saisonale Produkte aus Garten, Feld und Keller, schöne Speisenauswahl und natürlich der Panoramablick aufs Tal sind alle für sich gute Gründe für einen Besuch hier. Unsere Knödel, Suppen, Salate und dank „Schlachtwochen“ auch das Surfleisch mit Sauerkraut waren allesamt perfekt zubereitet und köstlich.

Es wenig Gründe an einem Sonntagnachmittag unten in Meran zu bleiben. Wir kannten euch gar nicht, uns hat einzig die Lage und der Blick bewegt euch heute zu besuchen. Wir haben nichts bereut Service- der eigene Wein - das Essen, es war alles hervorragend Danke Wir kommen wieder

Wie alle auch schrieben, die Lage und Aussicht ist super. Der Service ist freundlich, das Essen ist ok und der Wein ist Geschmackssache. Trockener Ausbau ist schon in Ordnung, aber beim Goldmuskateller ist leider auch das Aroma wenig spürbar bzw. nicht ausdrucksvoll entwickelt. Und einen Verbesserungsvorschlag: wenn ich zur Entscheidung einen PROBIERSCHLUCK bei einem Winzer erbitte, erwarte ich NICHT ein 0,1er Glas(kostenpflichtig), es sei denn, es wird mir vorher mitgeteilt.
