04/11/2025: The crêpe wasn't fresh; it was simply reheated, constantly turned over by hand without gloves, and then the money was collected. They need to improve their hygiene.

31/07/2025: Monday is a day off, and unfortunately, you can't order the best Kaiserschmarrn for miles around or the insider tip, Carbonara. We also enjoy one of the pasta dishes, like the Makaroni Chef, as well as the salad. Small portions are available. The interior is rustic. The service and the chef are like good old friends. The food is reasonably priced. Drinks are average. There's plenty of parking and a good selection of play areas for children. It's only a few minutes' drive from Maranza or you can take the road there, but there's also a beautiful trail through the forest up to the Kiener Alm. From the Gitschberg middle station, the alpine pasture is a 30-minute walk away, or from the Nesselbahn station or the lovely playground at the top, it's a steep 30-40-minute descent along the ski slope – but there are also easier options here. The guest rooms are expected to be available again soon; you can inquire on site or by phone.

29/09/2025: We stopped here while in the area to visit Martalar's works and stumbled upon this trattoria by chance, finding it on the road and frequented by motorcyclists. The food is good and typical of the area; we ordered two main courses, which were both satisfying. The only downside is the wait for service; we arrived at 12:30 and left two hours later. A young woman seats you, half an hour later asks for your drink order, another half hour later the owner comes by to ask for your food order, and half an hour later you have everything ready and ready to eat. Fortunately, the prices are fair. At least a complimentary liqueur should be offered to those who wait that long.

16/08/2025: We ate excellent local dishes. The only downside was the long wait to order. But it was worth it.

08/09/2025: In our opinion, this is the most beautiful and cozy hut in the Latemar, with a wonderful view of the mountains near and far. The Kaiserschmarn (sweet pancake) is highly recommended! I wanted to visit the hut a second time and had ignored all the others. Unfortunately, the opening hours on Google don't match – it was closed on Mondays. Hence, one star less.

07/09/2025: A cozy hut with a loving host family, already in the next generation. Not as crowded as Oberholz or Mayerl Alm. We felt very comfortable and were lucky, as today is the last day for now until the ski season starts on December 4th. We'd love to come back next year!

30/06/2025: A typical, simple pizzeria with delicious pizzas at fair prices. You can order by phone and pick up the pizzas later, or eat in. There are about 7-8 tables.

18/10/2025: We stayed here for one night while passing through. The staff's dedication and friendliness are particularly noteworthy. The room we booked in the "old" category was perfectly fine, clean, and spacious. The home-brewed beers are highly recommended. The restaurant's menu seems to be a mixed bag; it's a somewhat wild mix of Asian and traditional dishes, with no clear direction. It would be nice to be able to walk to the next town, for example, or just take a stroll. Unfortunately, the busy country road puts a damper on that.

27/09/2025: Excellent craft beer, aperitif at very reasonable prices. We didn't try the restaurant. The atmosphere is rustic and traditional, well-kept and spacious. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Really nice place.

Option to take advantage of the half-board service or the attached bistro with an excellent menu for all tastes. Friendly and professional staff: Mohad and Valerio are TOP!

10/08/2025: One of the best experiences I’ve had. Very pretty views and peaceful environments. Unexpectedly, the food was amazing, eaten the snitzel dish 3 days in a row. Mounaim was the best, very kind and helped us with evertything, even some special requests. Would recommend anytime and will for sure come back.

Unfortunately, you can't reserve a table for two people, so you have to get lucky or wait at the bar until a table becomes available. The pizzas and beer are priced similarly to other restaurants. Unfortunately, there is no affordable house wine by the glass, and the bottled wine is relatively expensive.
