He smokes in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant's garden, while observing and commenting on the guests. If you want to drink something other than wine, be prepared for rude behavior and sentences like "mamma mia, we drink wine in Italy!". A tip of €3 PER PERSON is included in the price! Food averagely good. Nice place.

10/05/2024: A good address in San Geminiano. The place can be a bit noisy when it's crowded. The pizzas are good, the meat tender and the pasta tasty. The desserts are generous.

17/04/2024: Finally, after many years, it happened again. After the tasting menu, I looked at my digestif and was: simply happy. But first things first. On a fairly rainy Easter Monday we arrived half an hour earlier than reserved, which was no problem at all. Service was quick in the rustic, pleasant atmosphere. We both opted for the tasting menu including wine accompaniment, but asked for another course; we didn't want to miss the fried artichoke with orange hollandaise (rightly, as it turned out). Our request to start the wine tasting with a Prosecco was immediately granted and the first course started quite quickly. Already after the second course it was clear that each course was deliberately tailored to 2-3 flavors that harmonized wonderfully, which the boss confirmed to us in a later conversation. This makes reducing things to the essentials fun. The order and conception of the menu were perfect for us. The wine pairing was precise, the selection was noble and demonstrated expertise. As a digestif I wanted a grappa that was soft but not too sweet or a rhum that was not too sweet. I was surprised with a grappa aged in a rhum cask called "Hija ilegitima", which at 57% vol. had a wonderful balance between softness and character, another wow moment. One thing is certain, even if it takes us over an hour to get there: we'll be back.

15/05/2024: This restaurant was recommended to us ( my wife and I) by our hotel, for dinner. Overall i would say this restaurant seems to be pitching itself to mainly western, perhaps affluent, tourists wishing to dine in a lovely location and are happy to accept average food and service. I look forward to finding us a better balanced dining experience tomorrow.

12/05/2024: We were ignored and looked down upon by at least three waiters as we were looking to be offered a table outside and be seated. I kindly asked 2 of the waiters and patiently waited. After 8-10 minutes, we just left. Seems they don‘t need the money - they have enough customers. Karma will eventually get you. 😉

12/05/2024: We were a party of 3, we had lunch on Thursday, it was a great experience, the food was delicious and a great service. Today we wanted to enjoy the same experience but we're met by a rude young inexperienced woman who treated us as if we were begging. I tried to simply ask if she knew if the sun was going to shine soon on the outside table we chose, she just gave me a stupid remark as if she weren't God to know. I replied politely that since she was there every day, she may have an idea, she then left for the inside telling a blond lady co-worker, how stupid we were asking stupid nonsense questions. Since I understood her, i walked in and tried to explain that it was s simple question and all I wanted was an honest answer. Naturally, we weren't going to eat at a place that has great food but RUDE service.

12/05/2024: Superb discovery for our last dinner in Tuscany! The place is simply magnificent with a breathtaking view! We had not booked and waited at the back of the very pleasant garden while having an aperitif. Our dishes were delicious. Great value for money! The service at the top! A big thank-you!

Locale elegante, con alcuni dettagli che rovinano la bellezza del posto (tanti ventilatori, che immagino necessari nel periodo estivo). Piatti molto curati: noi abbiamo preso una tagliata che si scioglieva in bocca, ma i cappellacci niente di eccezionale. Per concludere un tiramisù che ci ha lasciato l’amaro in bocca. Conto alto rispetto a quanto mangiato.

10/05/2024: It's very near to the old town entrance, if you are on the same side. The dinner is so good. Nice ambience. Interesting concept that you are at concert with a TV within a frame and posters around. Look at the first page of the menu to see your ticket! Lol. The food is really good. Had the dessert too. If you are in large group , might be good idea to reserve. Highly recommended. The meat dishes are very nicely done. Love them!

03/04/2024: Delicious food, friendly service and nice ambience. What needs to be improved: Mousse au chocolat contains alcohol. Either declare this on the menu or leave it out. This is an absolute NO GO for children, pregnant women and people with intolerances. Especially with dishes that do not contain alcohol.
