05/04/2024: The restaurant is in the center of Colle Val d'Elsa. The setting is nice but nothing exceptional except for the beautiful terrace overlooking the valley below. If you don't book they will put you in the basement where the musty and musty smell is strongly perceptible, but the environment is suggestive and the view of the cellar - full of beautiful labels - is decidedly pleasant. I recommend ozone lamps to the property to use in the evening when the place closes... they work wonders with bad smells. The pizza with 5 grain dough was definitely very good. I plan to return to try other dishes on the menu that attracted me. What I didn't like was the draft beer brought in a sort of ice cream cup and not in the classic beer glass. 3 euros for 65 ml of San Benedetto water (it's a label that passes itself off as luxury but it's still water and definitely worse than tap water if you read the description of how it's...processed. A lot of marketing and little value). Markup compared to the retail price of 35%. At least leave me the designer bottle as a souvenir. 2.5 euro cover charge per person for a set with paper napkins and no appetizer is a bit much in a restaurant with gourmet ambitions. It cannot be seen. Friendly and pleasant staff. Terrible coffee... powder residues suitable for reading the future (coffee machines need to be cleaned well or changed). Answer: As for the so-called cave, it is technically a cellar. Tuff ashlars are artificial blocks laid in an arch. As far as I could see the bare rock is nowhere to be seen. Therefore technically we are in a cellar. I'm not arguing about the particularity of the glasses but a photo of a customer among the reviews makes it clear that normal beer glasses are also used. The water is a mockery of San Benedetto (it's just marketing). Waters passed off as fossils would have such salinity that only an industrial process of the product justifies the proposed price. Tap water is definitely more ethical. As for we are not a place for everyone, I believe it, a more refined mise en place would justify the cover price.

01/04/2024: After waiting 15 minutes we were told that there was only pizza... Having ordered that (I would say mini pizza), they charged us €30 for two mini pizzas and two bottles of water. We were with two small children by the way. They left us really disappointed.

08/01/2024: Rispetto della tradizione, materia prima Km zero e gran riguardo ai prodotti del territorio tanto in cucina quanto in cantina. Giovani, motivati e preparati...complimenti e bravi tutti.

09/12/2023: Osteria accogliente con personale gentile e molto preparato. Piatti tipici toscani davvero buoni e vino selezionato. Davvero consigliato, se si viene in zona!
