17/12/2025: Pre-Christmas table. Unfortunately, the dishes were disappointing, starting with the mushroom risotto (didn't the kitchen taste it? Didn't they notice how unconnected and flavorless it all was?). Not to mention the pumpkin and sausage treats: a truly bland dish. The service was lacking in empathy (take a cue from the Caritas soup kitchen, they're more cheerful, it doesn't take much). The acoustics were terrible.

16/12/2025: I live in Rosignano and usually have my go-to pizzeria. Today, I wanted a change with my family and... I was pleasantly surprised. Good pizzas and a wide variety of choices. Fast, accurate, and courteous service. Reasonable prices. Parking is easy to find in the winter; I think in the summer, the only option is to cycle.

01/04/2026: Excellent pizzeria just steps from my house, perhaps the best pizza I've ever had. The only downside is that they don't have Coca-Cola and the beers are industrial grade. The staff is friendly, but I gave the atmosphere 3 stars because it's a dump.

11/03/2026: I had the pleasure of eating at Da Balestra in Piombino, and the experience was truly positive. The restaurant is welcoming, well-maintained, and has a warm atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The real stars are the pasta dishes, prepared with fresh homemade pasta: authentic flavors, generous portions, and quality ingredients that are evident in every bite. The care and passion behind the kitchen are clearly evident. The service is friendly and attentive, helping make lunch or dinner even more enjoyable. 02/12/2025: I went there for dinner this summer; it was a welcoming place, and the food was good. They also have rooms, and I'll almost certainly try staying there next summer.

20/10/2025: During my recent stay, I had a great time at Pensione Alba. Mr. Giovanni was very kind and helpful, as was his wife. The fish-based dinners were excellent. Mrs. Agnese was also very kind and efficient. The room was very quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. I recommend staying here to everyone.

10/06/2026: A really nice spot in Porto Azzurro for lunch or just to grab an aperitivo They only have a few plates and drinks, but what they have is excellent. The ingredients are sourced locally and fresh. The fried red fish and anchovies were both extremely well done and memorable They have local beers and wines, as well as their own production of a wine and beer. All are nice and add to the ambience Great local, cool people!!!

03/06/2026: Nice and traditional place, a must-have experience. You have to adapt. But with these prices, you can do better elsewhere. They don't take reservations.

30/07/2025: A terrible evening (unfortunately, in almost every way). Three friends and I booked dinner at this restaurant in Cecina, known for its renowned pinsa al metro. Before moving on to the many negatives, I can confirm that the product is high-quality, digestible, and very good. However... the "buts" are too many, too serious, and they'll make me never return. First, when booking, I made sure to ask if there was air conditioning, and to my great disappointment, I found the place rather stuffy (light air conditioning, almost nonexistent). That said, they seat us, and the waitress shows up to take our order only 15 minutes later (imagine 15 minutes in 35°C weather without even a glass of water). We order a total of 3.5 meters of pinsa, of which 1 meter is reserved exclusively for one of the lactose-intolerant diners. I make sure to ask that he arrive at the same time (or before) the first pizzas, as otherwise he wouldn't have been able to "taste" a slice of ours. Of course, his pizza arrives, not only 45 minutes after the others, but one side of it has mozzarella. That should be enough, right? And instead, the beer (14 euros for Menabrea) is presented in a very sad carafe and clearly and heavily watered down: undrinkable. Finally, when it was time for coffee, the waitress decided to bring not 4 (as requested), but only 1. The other 3 arrived only after another 10 minutes. Overall result: 2 hours of dinner in unbearably hot weather 1 diner hungry, or almost 30 euros per person, without even the courtesy of removing the portion of pizza the lactose-intolerant customer hadn't touched. Never, never, never again (despite the pinsa, alas, excellent).

13/07/2025: Serata terribile (purtroppo, sotto tutti i punti di vista o quasi) Io ed altri tre amici prenotiamo per cena in questo locale di Cecina noto per la sua rinomata pinsa al metro. Prima di passare alle molteplici note dolenti, confermo che il prodotto sia di alta qualità, digeribile e molto buono. Però... i però sono troppi, troppo gravi e mi spingono a non tornarvi più. In primo luogo, al momento della prenotazione mi sono premurato di chiedere se vi fosse l'aria condizionata e, con mia somma delusione, ho trovato un locale piuttosto afoso (aria condizionata leggera quasi inesistente). Ciò detto, ci fanno accomodare e la cameriera si presenta a prendere l'ordine solo dopo 15' (immaginate 15' con 35° senza nemmeno un bicchiere d'acqua) Ordiniamo, complessivamente 3 mt e mezzo di pinsa, di cui 1 destinato esclusivamente ad uno solo dei commensali intollerante al lattosio, alché mi premuro di chiedere che quest'ultimo giunga contemporaneamente (ovvero antecedentemente) alle prime pizze in uscita, in quanto, in difetto, egli non avrebbe potuto 'assaggiare' una fetta delle nostre. Ovviamente, la sua pizza giunge, non solo dopo 45' dall'arrivo delle altre, ma una parte della stessa presenta della mozzarella. Basterebbe questo, no? E, invece, la birra (14 euro di menabrea) viene presentata in una tristissima caraffa e palesemente e pesantemente annacquata: imbevibile. Infine, al momento del caffè, la cameriera decide apoditticamente di portarne non già 4 (come richiesto), bensì solo 1. Gli altri 3 arriveranno solo dopo ulteriori 10'. Risultato complessivo: 2 ore di cena con un'afa insopportabile 1 commensale digiuno o quasi 30 euro a persona senza nemmeno la cortesia di espungere la parte di pizza nemmeno toccata dal cliente intollerante al lattosio. Mai, mai, mai più (nonostante la pinsa, ahimè, eccellente)

24/04/2026: Incredible interior noise, over an hour's wait for a completely average pizza. Infinite wait even for a beer, spicy olive oil never arrived. No, you guys are nice, but that's just not right.

11/09/2025: Really excellent gluten-free pizza! The selection is significantly smaller compared to the gluten-containing pizzas, as the ingredients are strictly separated to avoid contamination, which is perfectly understandable. And it doesn't affect the taste or the experience in any way! Both the gluten-free and gluten-containing pizzas are highly recommended! Especially for takeout with a sunset on the beach 🌅

07/09/2025: We enjoyed it there a lot! We booked a Gazebo. It was really nice and clean. There always staffs nearby incase you need to ask something. They have area for activities as well. It suits for family with kids. They also offer phone chargers with locker and it costs 1€. It got charged pretty quick too! Highly recommend here!
