05/08/2024: We booked at this restaurant at 8.15pm, we arrived at 8.22pm. After 5 minutes of sitting down, the first waitress arrives and, with a rude tone, encourages us to ask our friends who were late. We informed her that they apologized because they had had an unexpected event but that they were on their way (unfortunately it wasn't up to us). After less than 10 minutes the barman arrives and asks us AGAIN to inform our friends that they were late. At that point we wanted to get up and leave and we regret not having done so. As for the dishes, my wife, in her starter (aperigolfo costing 26 euros) found plastic in the seafood cold cuts. The Tataki is good, €7 for a small crush of oil and salt seems excessive to me. The wine list is not specified, both in choices and prices; not to mention the 45 euros spent on 3 gin and tonics...not even in Porto Fino. The dessert, well...€9 for a miserable slice of chocolate and coconut cake. We spent too much on what we ordered, the prices are too high, and are not justified. Last but not least...at 10.50pm they came to tell us that they were closing and that we had to leave the table, on a Saturday evening, August 3rd, after having left them €270 between 4!!!! We definitely won't be going back, which is a shame because the food is very good and the atmosphere is decidedly convivial and evocative. However, presumption prevails, at times rudeness and a lack of professionalism that overshadows everything else. 1 star is too much.

04/08/2024: Definitely an excellent location, definitely quality food even if it takes a long time, but I didn't like the advance payment, as did the advance request for the money for the coffee which was extra twice as much... in my opinion it loses refinement.

27/07/2024: We returned as promised, we enjoyed the terrace, the view, everything was wonderful. Exceptional first courses, I had the spaghetti with clams and bottarga, I recommend taking it, you won't regret it, the lady had a burrata ravioli with fabulous prawn and scampi sauce, continuing with a fried dish surrounded by vegetables, salad and truly excellent yogurt cream , we moved on to dessert, a reinterpretation of Montblanc with strawberry filling and surrounded by chocolate flakes and I must say, a good chef. As a wine, an extradry San Martino prosecco that was drunk. A compliment to the truly top chef, Giorgia and a special thanks to our waiter... And then the previous review. Immersed in a corner of paradise in a very famous place on the outskirts of Castioncello. An enchanting place in a particular structure carved and built on the face of the steep cliff overlooking the sea. Excellent food and friendly staff. I want to go back.

27/06/2024: Non siamo riusciti ad assaggiare nulla, nemmeno l'acqua, perché nessuno, a parte portarci il menù, è stato in grado di chiederci cosa desideravamo. E questo nel giro di 35 minuti. C'erano 18 coperti ad essere larghi, tra l'altro quasi tutti serviti. Il padrone ha chiesto l'ordine prima ad un tavolo arrivato dopo di noi. Dopo altri 10 minuti, ha pensato bene di occuparsi di un ulteriore tavolo sempre arrivato dopo. Ci siamo educatamente alzati e girato i tacchi. Così siamo andati in un'altra trattoria nella piazza principale dove c'era personale scelto e super attento, estremamente preciso e cortese, nonostante il locale fosse pieno. Abbiamo mangiato divinamente piatti con ingredienti locali favolosi. Dispiace tanto, ma enoteca castagnetana merita come servizio un bel zero. Di buono posso dire che ha solo il panorama. Da notare i prezzi del vino: 6 euro per 100 ml, fanno 60 euro al litro....mi sembra un po' troppo esagerato......

18/06/2024: Personale gentile e disponibile. Piatti buoni e porzioni nella norma. Prezzi in regola con gli altri locali. Locale poco distante dalla via più movimentata del paesino. Consigliato.

19/07/2024: I gusti sono elencati a mano in una lavagna non molto comprensibile ma il gelato è veramente eccezionale. Coppette molto abbondanti, cremosità e gusto sublimi. Gelato al cocco con i pezzetti dentro! Così è se si usano prodotti naturali!

17/07/2024: So unglaublich gut, dass wir nur des Eises wegen wieder nach Elba fahren. Das ist ernst gemeint! Ich bin eigentlich gar kein Eisesser, aber für dieses Eis gibt es keinen Vergleich, und ich freue mich auf eine Wiederholung

15/08/2024: We stayed these days at the Ivo restaurant and I must say it was a nice surprise, very kind staff, very good food, there being 3 of us we ordered the platter for 2 people, they were very kind and they made it for 3 people, then we ordered spaghetti with seafood, seafood risotto and mixed fried food. Spaghetti and risotto delicious and generous portions, the mixed fried food was very good but the portion could be a little more generous. However we had a very good time! Highly recommended!

14/08/2024: Go there. Everything we ate was evidently of quality as well as delicious. Perhaps perhaps a slightly larger quantity of dishes would make the quality-price ratio impeccable, but if you want to eat well, in a refined environment and with good wine, this is the right place.

24/08/2024: Discovering this place by chance, it has now become a fixed stop. The best pizza I've ever eaten on the island. Clean and welcoming place, excellent staff, excellent service as well as value for money. In addition to the pizza, all the dishes are of excellent quality, not to mention the desserts, as exquisite as the owners. Super recommended!! We will see each other soon! ❣️ Mary and Mario
