What can I say? We had a great time. Marco, the owner, makes the customer feel at ease. The dishes arrived shortly after we ordered them and were impeccable. You can see and taste that they aren't made on the spot with quality ingredients and cooked very well! I highly recommend them. The prices are very competitive and accessible to everyone!

I had the pleasure of eating at Da Balestra in Piombino, and the experience was truly positive. Really good food at a decent price. The menu isn't typical restaurant offerings, venison fillet with chestnuts and porcini, or caccio pepe with mussels. Both were excellent, along with the antipasti di terra.

The special purple cabbage risotto cooked in a jar, and the venison sirloin with mushrooms, chestnuts, and Jerusalem artichokes—a perfect choice. We'll definitely be back to try the exotic meat and other risottos! The host, a combination of passion and kindness, is always a pleasure. It's a shame we're not friends and can't invite each other to dinner at our homes! At Balestra, every dish is a celebration, and every recommended wine is a pleasure for the palate. One thing that saddens us is that the host is an Inter Milan fan, but the customer, with affection, forgives him for this major flaw.

01/06/2026: Excellent food, interesting appetizers, and super friendly staff. Fantastic wild boar ragù, very friendly, even with kids. Interesting wine list. Worth a try if you want to eat in the village of Bolgheri.

30/04/2026: Fantastic dinner! Even without a reservation, they welcomed us with great professionalism and warmth. We opted for fish and were delighted: • Caponata and Octopus: Perfectly cooked and balanced flavors. • First and Second Courses: Linguine with lobster and tuna steak, 10 out of 10. • Desserts: Simply exquisite. Special thanks to the staff for their advice and helpfulness. Highly recommended!
