24/06/2025: Sabrina and her husband run this place with wisdom and hospitality, with excellent indoor and outdoor spaces, and their pinse have proven to be a very successful alternative to the usual pizza. The menu also ranges towards other delicacies, including interesting first courses and exquisite desserts, and the place deserves 5 stars, also for the honest prices that are always a pleasure!

26/07/2025: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent local food; we ordered crostini, Maremma-style wild boar, and roast suckling pig with potatoes. Excellent value for money; we'll definitely be back.

25/07/2025: One of the last dinners in Marciano and it was great. Beautiful restaurant with friendly service, although the white wine was mistakenly replaced with red, but the food made up for it. Amazing pasta with truffles, great beef with olives and an excellent steak with truffles. Finally, delicious desserts. Everything was fantastic.

15/07/2025: Excellent food. The place isn't luxurious, but ultimately, I prefer that it doesn't reflect on the bill 😉 Superb view, perfect welcome, absolutely delicious dishes... and not too expensive!! Enjoy your meal!

21/06/2025: My girlfriend and I had lunch at Il Rifugio a while ago and returned in the evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. Experience 10 out of 10, starting with the welcome: Gigliola was impeccable, very kind and very attentive. The local cuisine, authentic and full of flavors, was truly delicious. The environment is well-kept and charming, with a breathtaking view of the mountains. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

12/07/2025: Truly TOP-NOTCH meat! They don't even ask you how cooked it is, as it's paired with the type of meat you choose. The wine list is outrageous (even in terms of prices...). Definitely a pleasant experience, one worth repeating.

We arrived at closing time, but she let us sit down for breakfast on the beautiful terrace with a view, without rushing us. It's our go-to pastry shop when we come to Manciano. 29/06/2025: We found this pizzeria on the recommendation of Google Maps and since I work as a Google Europe reviewer, we decided to visit and taste a very well-reviewed pizzeria. I will not evaluate the location of this establishment. They did what they could. The atmosphere they decided to harmonize the interior of the establishment with is more or less calm and does not seem distracting. The circus tone of the interior is more for the pleasure of children than an adult visitor. But it is a matter of opinion. The welcome and the seating itself were on the level. The pleasant and smiling staff tried more than expected. Ordered 2x beer and 2x pizza. Served within 20 minutes, which is great with high occupancy. Visually and taste-wise, I have to divide the pizza into two parts. Dough and ingredients. Dough - I assume some rush or something happened when making this dough, but this is not pizza dough. The edges were burnt, thin, empty. Overall, the dough was very floury and thin. The fact that the dough is 2mm thin means that the tomato base will turn the dough into mush. Ingredients - everything except the dough was great. Recommendation: make a thicker dough with a higher edge and shorten the baking time. As I wrote in the introduction, maybe it was just stress and rush that resulted in a bad dough. So for us, I rate this pizza as average. We'll see in the future. Reply to the response. If I can allow you a small suggestion with all due respect: l'informazione sulla possibilità di sceglieri lo shesore dell'impasto sarebe forse più visibile se fosse inserita directamente nelle pagine 6 e 7, accanto alle pizza, e non in una pagina successiva, dove spesso ci sono informazioni che il cliente non consulta con attenzione. 28/05/2025: The pici all’aglione (pasta made of water and flour and seasoned with a tomato sauce with garlic) are excellent, as is the acquacotta (a typical local soup). The Florentine steak, strictly rare, is also excellent; the desserts at the end of the meal are also good.

10/06/2025: Eating at a local family's house, this is Il Giardino. Homemade but refined food with nothing to envy of renowned restaurants. Excellent quality and very abundant dishes, you dine without frills feeling truly on holiday! The 2 stuffed dogs that tear cuddles are included! 😊

29/06/2025: Disappointing experience, pay attention to the bill We entered this trattoria by chance (as indicated on the outside, even if it was then called a “restaurant” on a smaller sign) attracted by the atmosphere of the festive village. We ordered two first courses, half a liter of house wine and a mixed side dish to share. The side dish, however, was served divided into three small plates (similar in size to coffee plates) and each was counted separately at 7 euros, for a total of 21 euros for vegetables alone. The Catalan cream ordered last and served cold from the fridge, added a further jarring note, the two plates of Maremma tortelloni instead were really good. When it came to the bill, we felt it was really excessive to pay almost 80 euros for such a simple dinner. We advise visitors to inform themselves well about the prices and service methods before ordering. However, there are many alternatives of very high quality and at lower prices just a few dozen meters away, to avoid unpleasant surprises, don't rush like we did.
