31/12/2024: Delicious fried! I had calamari and prawns with chips, and it was all great! Light, crunchy and with that seafood flavor that wins you over at the first bite. Super easy atmosphere and super friendly staff. Perfect for a quick but tasty break. I was there in September and would happily return. If you are in these parts, don't miss it! 🔥

20/10/2024: The atmosphere on the roof terrace is wonderful. The view over the roofs of the old town and the old defensive tower over the sea is very beautiful and a clear recommendation. The pizza is crispy, thin and tastes very good. The service was equally good. A place to come back to.

11/10/2024: So I can fully confirm the “slightly arrogant” assessment in other reviews... we decided to have lunch on the spur of the moment. The signage says it's open until 3:30 p.m. today, but they probably didn't want to serve us anymore, even though it was only 2:30 p.m. and we were easily within one would have been ready in an hour and didn't want to spend the whole afternoon in the restaurant anyway, but if you don't want to, you've already got it or something, then we'd rather spend our money somewhere else... luckily there's a large selection of alternatives...

01/01/2025: Ho pranzato qui (non è la prima volta) ma alla Luna si trova sempre un motivo diverso per tornare. Il menù è sempre studiato e offre solo materie di prima qualità spesso fatte da loro(tipo le confetture) Io adoro la cucina toscana e quando vengo qui un piatto che adoro è la pasta al colombaccio(diventicatevi i piccioni…questo è un’altra cosa) da farci la scarpetta Un altro must della cucina toscana è il cinghiale alle mele…ve ne innamorerete La cantina è ben fornita e anche i dolci sono squisiti Vi consiglio di lasciare la macchina al parcheggio ad inizio paese e di fare due passi a Tirli: il paese è splendido ma le vie strette e potreste avere difficoltà a muovervi ma due passi ne valgono la pena per mangiare alla luna

11/09/2024: my husband and I stayed at this inn for a few days at the end of August. We booked the same day of arrival and the owner Mr. Alessio was very helpful in welcoming us (which is not to be taken for granted for a small accommodation facility) so for this reason our first thanks go. The Tuscan-style room was welcoming, spacious, quiet and above all very clean. Varied breakfast in the morning served on the terrace of the inn with a panoramic view of the Maremma hinterland. We have always had dinner at the inn as the food is all homemade by Alessio's family and it is all absolutely delicious and the price is more than appropriate. I will certainly recommend to anyone coming to the area to take advantage of this true hospitality of both the owner and his parents, very courteous people and always available for a chat. Precise only for those who want to have a beach holiday in the surrounding areas, from the village of Buriano which has the timeless charm of times gone by, it takes about 20 minutes by car. thank you very much.

28/08/2024: Ritornato a cenare in questo locale, dopo esserci stati la prima volta pochi anni fa: il buon ricordo è stato confermato. Vengono proposti piatti tipici della zona, dove in particolare i pici ed i tortelli svettano (fatti a mano). Altra specialità del locale e la carne, che viene cotta alla griglia. Nel fuori menù, degni di nota i fiori di zucca ripieni di ricotta (che fortunatamente ho avuto modo di trovare anche stavolta). Oltre a qualche vino di etichetta, viene proposto anche un vino di loro produzione (a mio avviso degno di essere provato). Dolci della tradizione italiana, anche quelli preparati dal locale. Gradevole l'area esterna (dove sono accolti anche i cani), al pari della veranda panoramica e della sala. Conto adeguato (non economico, ma neppure eccessivo) ai piatti ed ai locali. Se in zona, consigliato.

02/02/2025: Piccolo ma perfetto, una chicca con tanta gentilezza prezzi top mangiare ottimo nella sua semplicità. Poche portate ma che trovano comunque l'apprezzamento di tutti i gusti.

03/11/2024: Abbiamo soggiornato a Vetulonia per un weekend, abbiamo assaggiato la pinsa il sabato sera ed era molto molto buona; mentre la domenica a pranzo prima di partire per il ritorno ci siamo fermati a pranzo e devo dire che siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Ottima carne a km0 ma sopratutto ottima accoglienza cordialità. Ottimo prezzo, una tappa obbligatoria se si viene a Vetulonia, il ristorante ha pochi coperti quindi consiglio di prenotare per tempo

28/09/2024: Abbiamo pranzato in questo locale in occasione di un soggiorno presso un resort della zona. Una bella terrazza in legno mimetizzata nella pineta e affacciata sul mare. Menù non ampio ma abbiamo apprezzato l'antipasto di polpo e gli spaghetti alle vongole, molto saporito. Prezzi nella media per la località.

04/11/2024: Capitati per caso in questo locale, gli altri nelle vicinanze erano chiusi o pieni, ne siamo rimasti estremamente soddisfatti. Locale, personale, proposta, realizzazione, prezzo ben al di sopra delle aspettative. Proposte sia vegetariane che vegane che non ci hanno fatto rimpiangere la carne. Entrata con una squisita ricotta fritta, Tortelli alla Maremmana, con noci, Squisiti Pici alle Bricioli ottimi sia nell'impasto che nel condimento. Crema di ricotta e panna vegana ottima e, dopo aver pagato ci sono stati dati da portar via dei biscotti vegani ed il pane avanzato

19/09/2024: Locale carismatico e particolare, che ti fa sentire a casa, curato nei dettagli, con ambiente tranquillo e accogliente. La proprietaria molto gentile e attenta, racconta le portate con passione. Piatti colorati, semplici ma gustosi e abbondanti (consigliato il mix di antipasti). Pane e pasta fatti in casa, verdure fresche e di stagione a km 0. Durante la cena ci ha offerto le ricottine fritte come benvenuto, il limoncello e li fuso a fine pasto, e i biscotti vegani da portare a casa insieme al pane avanzato, ottima idea. Prezzo onesto, ci torneremo sicuramente.

18/02/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant in Castiglione by chance. Welcomed by the restaurateur Sabrina with kindness, courtesy and friendliness. Sabrina offers her Sardinian cuisine (with a Maremma menu too) with skill. Excellent dishes with excellent seadas. Advice, advice, advice. See you soon Sabrina.

12/01/2025: Passing through Castiglione, I popped into this beer shop one evening. I found courtesy and kindness in the staff, excellent beer and spectacular fries.

06/10/2024: Small, cozy bistro with friendly and motivated service. Delicious pizzas that are bigger than the plate. Large selection of beers, unfortunately I couldn't enjoy them because I was there by car. We'll be back to try the burgers!! Update: Meanwhile, we also enjoyed the burgers...they were delicious. And again the service was first class, very friendly and attentive. My tip: If you are in Castiglione, go to Birroteca Castiglionese and enjoy the service and excellent food at a good price!!!
