17/10/2025: Lots of smoke and not enough flavor... a huge disappointment, hair on the table (€4 cover charge).
The vegetables and lemon were subpar, the sea bream was next to good quality, the service was superficial... the wait staff was very stressed...
This is precisely why it was disappointing; overall, the price and quality were not in balance. It's a shame.
13/10/2025: A beautifully located restaurant with excellent food. The view of the marina adds to the delight. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The dishes are rather expensive but excellently presented and offer a unique flavor. A visit is worthwhile.

14/10/2025: We stopped by for a village festival, and only stayed one night and had breakfast. Everything was great: a generous sweet and savory buffet breakfast, a beautiful, clean place. Friendly staff. We'll be back.
01/10/2025: I was in the area for work and stayed at Iris for two nights with my colleagues, and I have to say that if we ever get back to the area, we'd definitely want to stay there.
Excellent service, courtesy, and friendliness, excellent and plentiful food with a wide variety of choices, including simple and protein-rich dishes, just the way I like them. I highly recommend it; everything was top-notch!

21/10/2025: Located in the center of Castiglione della Pescaia, we dined inside (late October) in a very quaint basement room that was definitely once a granary. We ordered grilled sea bass and baked sea bream, along with half a liter of wine. The food and service were good, though the prices are a bit high, but the location justifies that.

21/09/2025: This is one of the few restaurants in the center that we hadn't tried yet. The place is very welcoming, as is the staff. We had a clam soup as an appetizer and paccheri with the catch of the day—umbria and cherry tomatoes—for our first course. I found the dishes delicious and flavorful, with generous portions. A nice wine list with some interesting labels. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area.

Osteria del Mare is one of those places where the cuisine truly speaks for itself.
The dishes express the region with surprising clarity: ultra-fresh fish, top-quality ingredients, and a kitchen that enhances every flavor without ever overpowering it.
From crudités to expertly crafted pasta dishes, to main courses that exude the aroma of real seafood, each course demonstrates a care and expertise hard to find elsewhere.
The atmosphere is pleasant, refined without being pretentious, and contributes to the atmosphere typical of the best Tuscan seafood osterias: authentic, welcoming, and relaxed.
A small, constructive suggestion, born from the overall appreciation: an extra smile and a pinch of empathy from the owner would make the experience truly impeccable.
The quality of the cuisine deserves equally warm service, and it wouldn't take much to transform an excellent lunch into a perfect memory.
In any case, Osteria del Mare remains a highly recommended stop for those seeking authentic flavors and seafood cuisine that never disappoints.
