28/12/2025: An experience that exceeded our expectations, from the welcome onward. The staff who served us were professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, friendly and outgoing. Their wine knowledge is impeccable; they masterfully describe a cellar with high-quality labels, all excellent. We relied, as usual, on the chef's guidance, choosing the tasting menu with exquisite dishes that introduced us to the authentic flavors of the area and their garden. The place leaves you speechless as soon as you enter, with vaulted brick ceilings and decorated walls, transporting you to the old taverns of yesteryear. 31/01/2026: Oh well, who's going to abandon you again? My husband and I will end up like the elderly couple sitting next to us who come almost every day 😁. What can I say... congratulations! When you're passionate about this job, it feels like you're at a family member's home, not a diner. Superb staff, all we did was chat, we spent over two hours in wonderful company. I kindly offered her husband a taste of the first course he wanted to try... lots of advice, so much kindness, and so much love. 30/01/2026: The restaurant has several parking lots and presents itself as a trattoria on the main road. The menu is appropriate for the location. The ragù with orange zest and a citrus aftertaste is very good and unique. The artichoke crepes aren't very delicate and, frankly, too hot. The roast potatoes are good, and the turkey is average. The apple pie served with a dollop of cream is excellent, and the coffee is also really good, which isn't a given in trattorias. Overall, it's worth a try.

01/01/2026: A pleasant discovery in the heart of the village. Really delicious handmade pasta, accompanied by attentive and super friendly service. You can also bring your pet: Barolo, my 25 kg dog, was treated like a king!

31/12/2025: Antica Trattoria La Toppa is located in the small but charming village of San Donato in Poggio. Seen from above, the village resembles an eye, and the trattoria sits at the center of the iris. It's family-run, and the practices are time-honored and tried and tested. We were here on a Tuesday at the end of the year; the village is quiet, some shops are open, some are closed, but the trattoria is well-attended. The atmosphere inside is pleasant, the acoustics excellent, it's a comfortable place to chat, and the beige and red walls are a perfect backdrop for lunch. And then there's the food, which is the most important thing, you might say. The menu is Tuscan cuisine, the aromas fill the room, and there are specials of the day, which I always love. The food is truly excellent, with original flavors, and every dish is a sigh and a joy. Well done, that's how it's done! All dishes returned to the kitchen are carefully swept away with a piece of bread and a shoemaker's shoe. Highly recommended!

12/09/2025: We've already eaten at Fitti Fitti twice in three days, it was so good! The food is delicious and really well-priced. The tuna steak is highly recommended; I might even go back for it a third time this holiday! The octopus was also very well prepared. The staff is incredibly friendly!

15/01/2026: Francini spoils you...too good... Tartare and carpaccio appetizers, and amazing steaks with a piece of rosticciana, half a sausage, and why not... a lamb rib... and the rest, but you have to go there to understand. Prices are reasonable and never excessive. Excellent. Great. I'll definitely be back soon.

10/01/2026: Special Meat Compliments from the tagliata to the Florentine steak to the raw ham appetizers. Truly special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent meat.

31/12/2025: This restaurant and pizzeria is located right in the town center. Here you can enjoy pizza made with different types of flour. Don't expect Neapolitan pizza, because it won't be like that. Here you'll find a fine, delicious pizza made with top-quality ingredients. Prices are reasonable.

12/12/2025: We said we wanted to eat pizza, so our host took us to this restaurant to do so. The place was packed with locals, which is a good sign. We got a table around 9:15. When we tried to order a pizza, the waitress was very rude. He immediately said, "We cannot accept a pizza order since we already have many orders for pizza." We were upset but decided to order some pasta. When we looked around, we noticed that people who came after us were able to order a pizza. Rude service. I would not recommend this place.

22/12/2025: Small pizzeria located at the entrance to town, prices are more than fair and the quality isn't bad either... small place but if you want takeaway pizza that's no problem.

17/10/2025: Rooms were nice and clean. Service was very attentive. Breakfast was very "Italian." I would have expected a bit more here. Everything was delicious and prepared with love. I understand that a buffet doesn't really make sense for such a small hotel, but perhaps a small mini-buffet with jams and cereals, yogurt, etc., along with the "house specialties" would have been more optimal for me.

22/11/2025: Here you can find authentic, certified Chianina beef. A well-maintained restaurant, very attentive service, and excellent quality dishes. If we're ever in the area again, this will be a must-visit. Highly recommended for those who want to eat well, the prices are proportionate to the quality of the products served. P.S.: Even though it costs 78 euros per kilo, in Florence it costs even more. Make the effort and enjoy a delicious Chianina Fiorentina steak; you won't regret it. Nicola and Silvia.

03/07/2025: Everything I bought tasted great. Excellent bakery craftsmanship. If you're visiting there for the first time: when it's very busy, you have to take a ticket with a number – the display is then in the shop. This way there's no confusion – I thought it was great, because once there were a lot of people waiting. It seemed to me much busier around 9 a.m. on weekdays than around 8 a.m. Definitely recommend it. I'd be happy to come back.

01/10/2025: Two of us arrived without a reservation, but luckily there was a table available. The wait was two people, one very friendly, the other less so. The drinks came quickly, and we waited about 30 minutes for the appetizer. The pizza didn't arrive until about 90 minutes after the appetizer, which we really didn't expect, and our hunger grew accordingly. The pizza unfortunately had a bit too much cheese, but overall it was okay. Unfortunately, the wait was far too long, especially since the tables next door got their food much earlier.
