13/08/2025: Una volta giunti nella bellissima cornice del Borgo di Badia a Passignano, ed avendo gustato con gli occhi il paesaggio incantevole di manieri e vigneti, vi consiglio una pausa culinaria presso l'Osteria di Passignano dove gustare prelibati piatti toscani innaffiati da un buonissimo rosso del Chianti.

01/08/2025: Exceptional food, wine, and service, with a splendid view. The wine selection was excellent. We went with the prix fixe menu, but it was a bit of a letdown — the main course was pigeon with aubergine and a sauce that unfortunately didn’t mask the undercooked meat. It was quite off-putting.

18/08/2025: Wonderful. A destination stop for those of you tired of dropping over €100 on mediocre food. Great flavours. Wonderful people. Fresh food. Local crowd. All you could hope for. I went twice in 3 days because I had to go back for Friday Indian food when I found out about it. All food made in a small kitchen by chef/owner. The other owner is the hard working and efficient server. Italian small town perfection.

17/08/2025: I'm from the area, and for us, this restaurant is one of the few you can visit without being ripped off like a tourist, which is all too often the case in the Chianti area. Friendly, energetic, excellent cuisine and platters, excellent house wine, and fair prices. The location is also lost in the past, with a small Romanesque church next to the restaurant, under whose loggias a group of elderly people play Burraco.

17/08/2025: I found this place through online research, and I must say I was very impressed with the location. We booked dinner for two. It's a very unique place with a beautiful sunset view. Attached to the restaurant is a lovely church. The staff are very kind and friendly, and the dishes are traditional and excellent value. The charcuterie and cheese platter is excellent. The wait between courses is perhaps a bit long... but it's worth the wait. We'll definitely be back.

20/08/2025: Beautiful place, staff was very nice. When comparing the food to other food I've had in Italy, my opinion is it was good....not great...but good. Loved the grilled vegetables. Little things made it not great but nothing worth actually writing about. I would go back and also recommend it if in the area. Excellent dough.

31/08/2025: Absolutely LOVED my experience at La Gramola. Massimo and Cecilia, the owners, are such a charming couple and have created a lovely gem of a restaurant. We popped in here on a whim and now I would go out of my way to return to Tavarnelle to come back. The pici pasta was so fresh and the sauce was delicious. The pork cubes blew my socks off- 10/10. The tiramisu is made fresh to order and a fun spin on the classic with homemade biscotti. The torta della ricotta was to die for- came out warm. Cecilia is the chef and she came to our table to say hello after our meal. Massimo told us about how he’s the photographer, and how they built this restaurant and created their cookbooks together. They also do cooking classes - something to add to my list for the next trip to Tuscany. We can’t wait to come back!

28/08/2025: Went there based on a recommendation. The tartare was just mixed meat with a spoon of Dijon, the pasta tasted no different than a store bought one.

12/06/2025: Such a wonderful, unique and delightful experience dining at Fitti Fitti. No fanfare, but the food is worth waiting for. Very fresh seafood cooked with passion. One of our best dinners in Tuscany thus far.

23/04/2025: First time here with my husband for Easter lunch. We ordered as a first course: tagliolini with cuttlefish ink and tuna calamarata. Good. As a second course, a mixed fry, excellent and oven-baked octopus which I asked for with crunchy spinach. He's excellent too. Pleasant environment, efficient service. Adequate prices. We'll be back.

19/07/2025: Massimo Macelleria Francini con Cucina is a carnivore’s paradise. Massimo exudes a warmth that immediately makes you feel welcome and at home. We walked in without a reservation on a Friday night, and he greeted us with genuine hospitality. We asked him to surprise us with the menu, and what followed was an epicurean delight. The steak was, without question, the best I’ve had in this region — perfectly grilled, richly flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. The tartare was equally outstanding. Massimo also paired a bottle of Chianti that complemented the steak beautifully. I jokingly told him that anyone who can grill like that has a spot in heaven. This restaurant is a true carnivore’s delight. Every detail shows the love and mastery behind the food. I highly recommend it and will definitely return one day. Thank you, Massimo, for a truly special experience.

19/07/2025: A very good restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food, very friendly service. A great wine list. But please bring a larger wallet; it's worth it, if only for the location!

16/08/2025: Lovely pizzeria, located right in the main square of San Donato, serves delicious pizzas with made with a thin crust and tastes amazing. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for families. The staff are very kind and patient, taking the time to explain the menu in detail. We enjoyed it so much that we came back twice during our holiday! Highly recommended.

13/08/2025: The worst pizza in my life. Actually, it's not pizza, but pita bread with filling. Dessert: we ordered tiramisu. They brought ice cream with tiramisu flavor. But we ordered dessert, not ice cream. On the good side: the location is beautiful
