09/12/2025: All the food was excellent and top-quality, freshly prepared dishes, fresh fish, friendly staff, free parking, excellent value! Highly recommended!!

30/09/2025: The food was normal, fish was too salted, spagetti was good. But in restaurant there was specific smell, like toilet smell. Poor english.

19/10/2025: Ended up here because of weather and other restaurants we want to go to were closed. The first red flag was the place was deserted at 8.30pm. The service was great but when you’re the only people in there could it be worse? Unfortunately the food lacked the quality based on the fact this place is rated 4.5 on Google. The mussels were actually good, the steak was covered in cheese that hid the fat that wasn’t rendered off unfortunately. But the low point was the salad….it was literally a bowl of lettuce and chopped tomatoes…nothing else. I try to see the best in every place I go to, but I was eating on the plane on the way home thinking my plane food was better and that’s just sad.

27/09/2025: Unfriendly waiter, mediocre food. The value for money is definitely not good! The young colleague on the stairs is the best in the place.

16/01/2026: Although you can choose between a nice variety of filled croissants (e.g. vanilla), there isn't much filling inside which makes the croissants taste pretty bland. The arancini was pretty meh as well, and the hot chocolate was a bit too sugary/sweet for our liking.

08/02/2026: Last night we ate pizza at VITAMIA, but I have to be honest... we arrived with a reservation for the first sitting, so at 8:15 PM, and exactly an hour later, they politely kicked us out because the next customers from the second sitting had to be seated. I was honestly disappointed, and to this day I have to give this pizzeria very few stars. Decent service, but not very friendly towards the people working the cash register. The pizza was average. The gesture of turning customers away after 60 minutes was terrible.

01/02/2026: Saturday evening, the place was packed, guests were attending a birthday party. The first course seemed to be served quickly (to be precise, we had a hot mixed platter), and the staff was always very kind and friendly. But let's get to the pizzas; there were 20 of us. Half an hour after the appetizer was finished, the first six arrived, two of which were good, two completely charred, and two returned because they were the wrong ones. Another 10 minutes passed, and more arrived, all with the same problem: burned, leaving a bitter taste in the mouth. So, 20 diners, less than half ate, the rest didn't. At first bite, I tasted good-quality ingredients, but the whole thing was ruined by the completely burned base, not to mention the edges. I politely asked if it was possible to have another one, and was granted an offer, but to no avail. The pizza arrived worse than before. Poor hygiene in the place; kilometers of cobwebs, black as coal, were hanging from the roof. It's impossible not to see them. Obviously, I won't be returning. I understand that bottlenecks can happen during service, but hygiene is the foundation.

21/02/2026: As a customer I was advised to sit down while we tried to order at counter. As we do not speak italian, only english and german, it was easier to order what we see and like. No worries, we went to sit down. Tables were not ready...all dirt around, food on table. I have asked tall waiter to prepare table and was disappointed by his appearance - I might have disturbed him 🥴 Food was actually tasty, short waiter was very nice, we liked Arancini, tiramisu, canolli, coffee. Before leaving, around 10 minutes before closure I could not even visit toalet - spending there around 50€ and not been able to use toilet because its 10 minutes to the closure. Leaving, some tourists were turned round wanting only coffee.. some disappointment

03/10/2025: Speaking of food, I had excellent mixed fried fish, delicious fish meatballs, and an exceptional house sorbet. The location was simple, and the service was at times disappointing.

25/09/2025: Exceptional food, super friendly Service and beautiful ambiente.

02/10/2025: Old hotel with minimal rooms and dated furnishings. Excellent location in the restricted traffic zone. The lady who runs it is courteous and attentive. Be careful about staying in the restaurant for dinner; prices are far too high for the portions.

14/09/2025: It seems to me that many of the reviews are derogatory. Or they refer to before the renovations, which took place around 2023 or 2024. What is certain is that the Hotel Moderno is now highly recommended. The rooms and bathrooms are furnished to a four-star standard. The restaurant has an enchanting view, both day and night; the menu is basic, but chef Baldo executes it very well. The wine and spirits list is basic but well-chosen, and we found the bulk white wine to be very respectable. The staff is friendly but discreet, the lobby is cozy and welcoming, and the background music is relaxing. Anyone who writes that parking in Erice is difficult and expensive either misunderstands or is not acting in good faith; for €12, you can park for a week in various parking lots. Erice is a medieval village, offering superb views, a pleasant climate, a relaxing atmosphere, and traditional cuisine and pastry shops that offer good value.

13/07/2025: We booked for Friday evening, July 11th, they reserved a table for us, and when we arrived, the restaurant was closed. Luckily, there's a fishmonger next door. The restaurant was closed, so we decided to call back. I wondered if they said the place was closed. What was the problem? I didn't waste time calling back.

22/02/2026: As soon as I entered the door of the place, a woman very insistently forced me to leave a review of the place, she was very intrusive to the point of rudeness, I will never go there again

18/02/2026: They always forget to put something in the drive-thru bag... last time bacon in the fries with cheddar, another time a little hamburger... you can see they're short on staff because the guys who work there bend over backwards to satisfy all the requests.

12/10/2025: You can understand almost everything... The problem is accepting things... A table booked for 9:00 PM... the first ones dine at 10:30 PM... the others after 20 minutes. As soon as we entered, we asked for information about the dishes served at Risto, not at Pizzeria. When they came to take our order, they told us that the chef was sick, so no Risto... but after our disappointment... ok for Risto. Shortly after, however, it was the pizza chef who had had a mishap. 🤔... The simple and disarming truth is that only pizzas came out and nothing was served... and we had to wait over an hour, even on a Saturday night...!!! The waiters do their best, but if Brancaleone's army is in power... A total mess... The dishes were average with prices. In the end, we left at 11:15 PM, having consumed one dish each. The average score today of 3.8 unfortunately has a justification.

21/09/2025: The restaurant is located in a square, and we dined outside. The pizzas were delicious, as were the first courses. The service...hell. Very confused, unprepared, and slow.

28/10/2025: Exceptional food, a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, perfectly balanced flavors, a delight from appetizers to first courses to dessert. You can't go to Pantelleria without trying Bacio Pantesco! The wine is exceptionally good, including the Passito! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Let them guide you through your choices, you won't regret it!

19/10/2025: Five stars aren't enough for our experience and the dishes we ate. Chef Salvatore offers refined yet understated cuisine, tasty and deeply rooted in Pantelleria's traditions. We had two appetizers, a first course, a second course, and two desserts. Everything was exceptional! Special mention goes to the scorpionfish bites and the Bacio Pantesco, a specialty from the usual ones found on Pantelleria. The attention to detail is outstanding, and in fact, several dishes are gluten-free or can be modified for celiacs. Attentive service and a stunning view complete the picture... Highly recommended!!

23/09/2025: Very disappointed with this place. The pane cunzato doesn't taste like pane cunzato at all, and the prices are expensive. I don't recommend it at all. There are places with much better quality and with REAL SICILIAN flavors. No, no, and no again!
