02/08/2024: We decided to have breakfast there this morning instead of Bar Fucsia as we wanted to try something different. And it really turned out to be the opposite of what we’re normally used to! I Decided to get the breakfast from the counter as we wanted to save time! The man behind the coffee counter was quite nice and service-minded… not the same thing could be said about his two female colleagues. The lady behind the granita/cornetto counter was so rude that it really made the whole breakfast experience extremely sad. Yes, an extremely sad atmosphere to have to pay for sheer, passable breakfast and take in her “now I need the world to pay for my frustrations” kind of attitude! I asked her whether it was possible to order a coffee for my mother whom was unwell and needed a coffee right away and she “literally screamed at me” saying: “ there at the coffee counter” which by the way was besides her = 2 steps from where she was located (the bar is a continuum where they apparently share responsibilities)! lol! A shouting host/waitress to the clients that pay her bills is quite hilarious! Additionally, she also seemed to have issues reading the bill her colleague at the counter had issued as she kept not giving me what I had paid for… I had to remind her! Her other female colleague was her equal but she didn’t seem to have a fixed place within the bar area as she was jumping from the ice-cream area to the cornetto area while simultaneously being at the coffee area! I reckon she had to make her unpleasant self notice throughout the bar! Maybe they are not aware of the fact that if one chooses to be in the hospitality industry the first thing one is supposed to be is hospitable… obviously those ladies don’t know even the A-B-C of it! Sad experience! Never again!!

31/07/2024: During a recent evening, we had the pleasure of dining at the "Le Alghe" pizzeria. Cozy and well-kept environment, we were lucky enough to eat on the terrace, enjoying a splendid view of Marina di Modica, which made the experience even more memorable. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu choice is wide and varied, offering options for all tastes, from timeless classics to the most innovative combinations. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite, with particular attention to freshness and authenticity. The dough is light and digestible, well cooked and crunchy. The excellent quality of the pizzas, combined with impeccable service and a welcoming environment, makes this pizzeria an ideal choice for a pleasant evening in company.

29/07/2024: Cannoli fantastici come anche le spremute di melograno e di arancia. Location street food. Bagno igene sanitario catastrofico. Mancaza di carta igenica nessuna possibilita di asciugarsi le mani. Richiesta la carta mi hanno dato dei tovaglioli. Che dire?

06/07/2024: Siamo stati oggi a pranzo in questo locale nella piazza del duomo, la più centrale di Ragusa Ibla, abbiamo trovato nel proprietario e la moglie due ragazzi simpatici e disponibili come tutto il personale, ci hanno portato la Scaccia Ragusana in cinque varianti veramente squisita e il miglior arancino mangiato nella nostra vacanza siciliana, clamoroso il cannolo finale, ottima scelta di birre artigianali siciliane. Posto irrinunciabile per chi viene a visitare Ibla!!!!!

06/07/2024: La scortesia regna sovrana. Abbiamo fatto una degustazione di cioccolato in attesa del trenino. Ci hanno fatto mangiare da delle ciotoline vecchie e sporche. Abbiamo comprato una bottiglia d' acqua dopo la deludente degustazione...e ci siamo seduti fuori ad aspettare il trenino. Il locale era vuoto....la signora ...non ha gradito che ci sedessimo forse perché avevamo speso poco e ha immediatamente tolto le tende da sole fuori lasciando noi e due turisti al sole. Era un chiaro invito ad alzarci.....si vede che forse non ha apprezzato che avessimo fatto la degustazione e poi speso poco.......forse sicuramente avevamo speso poco...ma non pensavo ci fosse un minimo da spendere per godere di ospitalità in questo bar.

22/06/2024: Locale molto accogliente, prodotti molto buoni e di qualità, personale accogliente e professionale. Consigliabile.

27/12/2023: In the desert at lunchtime in a little touristy Ibla, as a mother of two children I look for a clean and accessible place around 1pm. From outside I read the menus and prices. Charcuterie platter 14 euros. Two adults and two children sit there and the platter costs 16 and not 14. I then discover that for lunch they only make platters and nothing else. I was hoping for something for the kids. An arancino. A focaccia. Zero. Two cutting boards, covered for 4, we came out while the children still wanted to have lunch because there was really little on the cutting board and it was all frozen. Some places should close. They would have better luck.

27/12/2023: Nel deserto dell'ora di pranzo in una ibla poco turistica, da mamma di due bambini cerco un posto pulito e accessibile intorno alle ore 13. Da fuori leggo i menù e prezzi. Tagliere di salumi euro 14.ci sediamo due adulti e due bambini e il tagliere poi costa 16 e non 14. Scopro poi che a pranzo fanno solo taglieri e nulla di altro. Speravo in qualcosa per i bambini. Un arancino. Una focaccia. Zero. Due taglieri, coperto per 4, siamo usciti che i bambini volevano ancora pranzare perché sul tagliere davvero c'era poco e tutti ghiacciato. Certi posti dovrebbero chiudere. Avrebbero più fortuna.
