31/03/2026: Terrible welcome; I don't think they know what hospitality is. I almost felt like we were bothering them the entire time, with their dirty looks and lack of courtesy. Furthermore, every time I was near them, I always heard them talking rudely and badly about some guest or their request. I felt truly uncomfortable. On the other hand, the staff were very friendly, the rooms were spotless, but the walls are made of cardboard, and if you have a noisy neighbor, you'll have no sleep. Ultimately, unfortunately, we'll never return.

08/03/2026: I stayed at the Rifugio on a Sunday with some friends. Well-located and easy to reach, the refuge is charming and welcoming, perfect for an immersive experience on the slopes of Etna. We only had lunch at the refuge, and there were eight of us. A major problem was the lack of reservation lists, so we had to wait a long time before being seated. The staff weren't very welcoming at first; they called our names to let us know there was a free table, but when they led us to the dining room, they claimed they hadn't called us. It happened twice. Despite this, we finally had lunch. The ingredients were good and homemade, but the meat was overcooked, and the appetizer could have been more generous, considering it was shared between two people. Overall, it was a great experience, a great stop for a refreshment during a hike!

26/02/2026: I had a cannoli (actually two). Very, very good. The shell was handmade (I discovered it with wine). The ricotta was top-notch. The staff was kind and friendly.

09/09/2025: We stayed just one night on the way back from Etnaland Theme Park, which is just a quarter of an hour away. I should start by saying that we arrived at the property very late, and despite the hour, the owner waited up for us, welcoming us with a smile. Breakfast included delicious coffee and croissants, but there were many other good things available. Basic but comfortable rooms. The property is surrounded by greenery with a picturesque view of Mount Etna. What can I say? A positive experience, especially for the friendliness, helpfulness, and helpfulness of the owners. 27/08/2025: We stayed in five rooms and, upon arrival, were greeted kindly by the owners: helpful and friendly, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, however, the experience quickly deteriorated. As soon as we entered the room, I noticed details that shouldn't be present in a hospitality facility: toilet paper was almost empty and the bathroom trash can was full of waste from previous guests. The biggest problem, however, was the hot water: we all ran out during showers. We were told we had to take turns washing to avoid overloading the system... decidedly inadequate management for a facility with multiple rooms. Finally, the biggest disappointment: dirty sheets in almost every room. A detail that alone was enough to ruin the entire stay. It's a shame, because the initial kindness gave us hope. But care and cleanliness (leaving aside the aesthetics of the rooms and bathrooms) are essential and, unfortunately, were completely lacking. A very negative experience.

13/04/2026: Excellent pizza, prepared with great care and using quality ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming and truly makes you feel at home. Special praise to the pizza chef, who is very skilled and passionate: you can see and taste it in every bite. Highly recommended!

13/04/2026: Excellent pizza, and the appetizers got top marks! The crater-shaped pizza was an incredible surprise, both visually and taste-wise. If you're looking for something special and top-quality, this is the place. Highly recommended! Giuseppe the pizza chef is truly the best!

14/04/2026: I love this place as it reminds me when I was going to Uni. Today I had a nice breakfast, cappuccino and a fresh panzerotto with cream. There is a friendly atmosphere and the staff is very polite.

16/11/2025: I find it absurd that the filling of any pastry is always mixed with cream. I wanted a basket with strawberries and custard, but as soon as I tasted it, it tasted like a basket with cream and strawberries.

20/03/2026: A bar located in the center of Mascali, just steps from Piazza Duomo, where you'll find Adriano and Michele, who are ready to welcome customers with courtesy and professionalism. I discovered this bar a few months ago and frequent it every day, for breakfast or for a relaxing afternoon. I recommend it for breakfast, a quick snack, or simply an aperitif. Last but not least, this place doesn't waste anything (they're part of the "Too Good To Go" program).

19/02/2026: Mascali, CT. Via Immacolata, 40. A while ago, we stopped for breakfast. No exceptions: the classic breakfast during the cooler months: granita and brioche. We had a good experience, in keeping with the average quality of most of the cafés and pastry shops in our province.

05/02/2026: Today I had lunch at trattoria prices. Too bad it's self-service. A first course (alla norma) and a second course (tripe) with a bottle of water cost €18.00. I wasn't satisfied with either dish.
