12/08/2025: Average food, the owner's daughter yells at customers to explain that credit card payments are unavailable. Never seen anything like that! How rude!

12/08/2025: SCAM: a server who gives you a card, then when it's time to pay explains that it's not the right card and that everything is more expensive (x2). The plates are almost empty, there's nothing to eat, or it really doesn't seem fresh. At the cash register, the lady/owner greets you by shouting, even more so if you dare point out the scam, and causes a scene throughout the restaurant. We still managed to renegotiate the price and avoid paying €10 for a plate of olives and three poor, oversalted anchovies from a supermarket jar (made right in front of us). Really don't go there; there are plenty of other restaurants that look much nicer on the street.

18/07/2025: la terza volta che prendo un pezzo di tavola calda ,questo era con spinaci acidi e pomodoro acido,alle 7 del mattino credevo che fosse fresca,ma credo che era almeno di 2 giorni fa! Mai piu

15/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati per gustare una pessima granita di caffè con panna e brioche, che io non ho completato di mangiare in quanto il sapore non era gradevole, abbiamo preso un caffè bruciato anche questo lasciato a metà, per fortuna aggiungerei perché nonostante questo sono stata male tutta la mattinata preferendo non pranzare, mio marito invece è andato due volte in bagno. Avrei potuto sospettare una mia indisposizione ma considerando il malessere di entrambi potrei imputarlo a qualcosa che abbiamo mangiato. Da non riprovare

06/06/2025: Was quiet but my sword fish was fabulous and so too my husband's minute steak. The family running it are friendly and helpful. I've read that it's off the beaten track and yes it's not on either of the 2 squares or the main road but Castelmola is a small village so it's not hard to find and is worth the little effort.

28/05/2025: The service and food was great. They were very friendly. The view from the terrace is magnificent. Our 10 month old granddaughter loved their spaghetti. My gnocchi was amazing. I finished with a taste of their local almond wine! We will be back!

10/06/2025: Order booked for 8:30 pm. Upon arrival we found the hot food already bagged who knows how long ago, given that the pieces were cold, terrible experience, first and last time. To be avoided!

31/03/2025: Notato sui social, in occasione di una visita a Paterno' passo da questo posto che è una eccellente sintesi tra panificio,gastronomia,bar, pasticceria. Pranzato molto bene. Pasta al forno da menzionare. Personale gentile e professionale. Da ritornarci . Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Da consigliare

03/07/2025: Siamo stati per cena in questo ristorante. Lo abbiamo scelto perché eravamo memori di ciò che di buono molti anni fa ci avevano detto di questo posto. L'accoglienza è stata buona, personale cortese. Abbiamo scelto il menù completo di pesce. Gli antipasti erano scarsi, le cozze gratinate le peggiori mai assaggiate. Alcune cose decenti, ma nel complesso scarsa quantità e qualità. Certi piatti ci hanno fatto pensare che stessero servendo delle rimanenze dei giorni precedenti. Poi sono arrivati 3 primi, di cui uno "spaghetti allo scoglio di mare" che sembrava lo scoglio di una zona evidentemente deserta perché oltre al pomodoro c'era poco. Un altro primo decente ma molto salato. Il risotto della casa essenzialmente riso, burro e surimi (wurstel di mare). I secondi erano scarsi di sapore, solo la sogliola gratinata al forno era decente. Il calamaro alla piastra era freddo e troppo gommoso, sembrava cotto da molte ore, ma chissà quante. Il sorbetto servito nel bicchierino di carta del caffè e il tiramisù tirato fuori dal freezer ancora semisurgelato e dall'aspetto poco invitante; lo abbiamo guardato con perplessità e lo abbiamo lasciato lì. Il pane era di almeno il giorno prima, ma in compenso il vino bianco della casa era buono. Anche l'acqua in bottiglia era buona. Ci siamo fatti due risate durante la cena, perché o la prendi così, o ti arrabbi, e non volevamo rovinarci la serata ulteriormente, anche perché il cameriere era molto gentile e ci ha fatto simpatia. Ci dispiace per un posto che aveva una ottima nomina e ci spiace per noi che lo abbiamo scelto (prima e ultima volta). Ribadisco, personale ok.

22/06/2025: I have to completely change the positive review from 2 years ago. Last night huge disappointment in the quality of the pizza 3 on the competence of the staff. I will not go there again.

24/05/2025: I had the fish menu. I ordered spaghetti vongole al rosso, which I got with aglio olio and a few vongole on the side. There was no sign of tomatoes and the taste was totally bland. I followed it with grilled calamari, which was still raw inside and tasted charred. I wouldn't eat there again.

24/05/2025: The fish or meat menu is tempting, but a disappointment. I had the veal schnitzel, which was more like a slice, to be more precise, 2.5 mm thick...you can't call it a "bistecca." It's a shame, I should have read the reviews here first...

04/08/2025: When I walked in, it seemed like a rather bland and homey place, but when they started serving the dishes, I had to change my mind; the food wasn't bad at all.

12/07/2025: Frozen and raw pizza inedible then 450g of kebab that no one knows what it was and then all salad and 450g there was not a total of 150g inside and immediately I get looked at 👁 👁 🤷‍♂ as if I were a criminal I have no idea who I could be ☹️ just because I have signs of serious health problems on my face to place the order they lean on the chair as if I had them on🤷‍♂️ in short everything terrible I will never go there again next time I'll be happy to go and pay 20 euros more somewhere else that not there (never see you again)

Disappointing we do not recommend Unfortunately very disappointing () We arrived at the facility And our reservation was not recorded They assigned us a room Where there was a broken bed And other problems with electricity even cold water They re-let us The next day in another apartment worse than the first In the double bed There were not even slats Shower completely dirty We returned to the first Apartment During the Night the air conditioner rained on our daughter's bed with power outlets near the bed A real danger .. we requested a TOTAL refund OUR ENTIRE HOLIDAY WAS RUINED .. at the moment if they don't fix the apartments It is not an accessible facility they should close it and fix it .. because we pay and want to have the services Never again....

30/06/2025: Horrible place located in a terrible position narrow and difficult to reach. Zero free parking, nightmare sea. The rooms are acceptable as well as the service. Watch out for the stream

22/04/2025: Vasta scelta di bevande e dolci, disponibilità di tavoli sia all'interno che in terrazza coperta. Prezzi leggermente sopra la media e per questo non ci aspettavamo di dover pagare anche il coperto (prima volta che ci capita in un bar).

09/03/2025: 09/03/2025 ore 19.30, vado nel locale con mia moglie e mia figlia, non c'era molta gente , per ordinare ho aspettato davvero tanto , circa 15 Min, finalmente dopo l'ordinazione vado al bagno , sporchissimo da fare schifo ( magari pagare una persona per pulirli ogni ora ? Noooo questo è chiedere troppo in Italia, i locali igienici qui in Italia vanno puliti una volta al giorno e forse anche troppo! Comunque arriva il cibo: 2 arancini e una pizzetta, quest'ultima immangiabile faceva puzza ma tanta puzza, chiamo il cameriere e la faccio portare via chiedendogli di annusarla. Al momento del pagamento me la trovo sullo scontrino. Vergogna ! Non mi vedete più. Lenti nel ordinazione, sporchi e cibo di scarsa qualità . Non ditemi che li andate avanti per il gelato e le torte , non avreste dovuto servire cibo così

14/08/2025: Stop for lunch. Appetizers: fish, seafood salad, mussels First courses: all seafood, spaghetti with clams, risotto. Second courses: fresh fish and fried foods. Wine, water, coffee, liqueurs. Excellent lunch, excellent location and service.

22/06/2025: June 21: Last night (Saturday) we went to the place around 8:15 pm (my parents and their friends) so far everything was ok. as soon as we sat down I realized and not only me that both the plates and the glasses were dirty, my glass in particular smelled and was greasy also my mother's smelled of fish (and it was not dirty from the dishwasher), even the cutlery was dirty, so a friend of mine kindly asked the waiter to bring some plastic glasses (they didn't arrive immediately) I repeat it was 8:15 pm there were not many people yet, finally they brought us water, but without the plastic glasses, so I with saintly patience asked the waiter (again) to bring the plastic glasses (it is not acceptable not to wash the glasses). After about 10 minutes the waitress takes the orders (piazza, antipasti and drinks), the antipasti arrive (good, but nothing special). They bring the pizzas: 4 four cheeses, 1 mortadella, a Greek-style pizza, a tuna and onion pizza and a margherita with mushrooms. The 4 cheeses didn't taste like 4 cheeses, but only mozzarella, the crust was burnt, my friend took the mortadella (poor quality mortadella, it was definitely the one from the supermarkets already bagged) by the way I had forgotten to make it, so my friend waited for them to make this blessed pizza, when it was time to clear the table the waiter didn't change the cutlery (saying keep the cutlery) which was unacceptable, because it was already dirty anyway. In short, it is a place that I do not recommend to anyone, it is a shame because it is in a square that is not only beautiful, but also very strategic because from there you can get to the nautoscopio, but also in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, it is not a place that is up to the level of the square (and the historic center. For what we ordered (I repeat, square, appetizers and drinks) the price was a bit high. In total we paid 160 euros.

At 8.45pm I made the first call telling me that the boy had left, after 9 calls telling me the same excuse they put me through to the owner telling me that the boy was arriving, to sum up the evening it is 10.30pm and no courier can be seen under my house

27/07/2025: All’inizio era un ottimo ristorante dove si mangiava benissimo ed a prezzi onesti; ora che hanno fatto quattro soldi, si sono montati la testa e lo hanno fatto diventare una specie di fabbrica mangiasoldi, con ingredienti da discount e piatti fatti in serie. PS: è ora che quella cafona maleducata che sta all’ngresso a ricevere i clienti, vada in pensione.

25/07/2025: Locale bellissimo,ma non rispecchia quello che ti portano al piatto.antipasto poco saporito,pasta con le vongole immangiabile,pasto con astice sembrava pasta al pomodoro,frittura moscia.l'unica cosa buona e stato l'amaro.sicuramente se verrò di nuovo in Sicilia,li non ci metterò più piede
