31/10/2025: I give Mavi's a full five stars, a place I truly consider a guarantee. It's a restaurant, pizzeria, and, in a way, a bar, located right at the entrance to Gallipoli, conveniently located and easy to reach. The main reason it deserves all its stars is undoubtedly the service. I especially want to thank Vittorio, with whom I speak often: he's always friendly, attentive, and ready to welcome guests in the best possible way. You can tell he cares, because he pays attention to every need and makes them feel truly at ease. Thanks also to Claudio, the owner, a friendly, honest, and always available person. We see each other almost once a week, and every time he manages to make the experience pleasant and familiar. The food is truly excellent, from the burgers, which are my favorite, to the meats, always good quality and well-cooked. I often order the farmer's burger, but with one small change: instead of zucchini, I ask for caramelized onions along with eggplant cream. The burger is 200 grams, very tasty, with a soft, delicious bun. I usually accompany it with onion rings and fries, a perfect pairing. The restaurant occasionally hosts small parties or themed evenings, designed to accommodate more people and create a livelier yet still relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The atmosphere is pleasant, without crowds, but with just the right energy for a different kind of evening. Finally, I must say that the quality-price ratio is truly fair, especially considering we're in Gallipoli, where prices are often higher. Here, however, you eat well, you spend the right amount, and you're treated with courtesy. In conclusion, I highly recommend Mavis: a welcoming place, with excellent food, impeccable service, and passionate staff. I go there almost once a week... and I recommend you do the same!

06/09/2025: Fabulous place. First of all, it has very convenient parking, which is always a plus 😜 for those coming from Gallipoli or by car. But it's also very convenient to walk here if you're on vacation like my wife and I and happen to be sleeping nearby. Comfortable seating, beautiful lighting. Varied menu. The sales assistants are very friendly and professional. Everything is delicious 😋🤩

12/10/2025: A regular stop on my bike rides. The staff is always friendly and cheerful; the coffee and pastries are excellent. The view from the dining room is always pleasant. I recommend Bar Centrale in Tavoleto.

22/11/2025: We visited Gondar Park for the Pumpkin Village (I don't remember the exact date, but it was in the fall) and had a great time. The village is a great idea for a trip with kids. The atmosphere was lovely, with countless pumpkins of all shapes and sizes creating a perfect seasonal setting. The activities and rides were primarily geared toward younger children, who had a blast. The food stands deserve special mention: there was a truly vast selection, with food for all tastes, from sweet to savory, and many typical local products to sample. We also really enjoyed the mini-market area, full of stalls selling handmade items like scented candles and laser-engraved designs, all very unique and carefully crafted. The only flaw, which makes us take away a star, is the €5 parking fee. Honestly, considering the entrance fee and everything else, it seemed a bit high and should be reconsidered. Overall, however, it was a wonderful experience that we recommend for a different Sunday.

06/10/2025: According to the website, it's open on Mondays. But we were laughed at as stupid foreigners because they're always closed on Mondays. We'll definitely NEVER be coming back.

30/09/2025: I ate there with my family a week ago, everything was impeccable, I will definitely be back, the fishmonger is always well stocked and the raw seafood is excellent, the staff is very kind.

14/11/2025: My son fell in love with the wonderful frappé they make, the coffee is excellent and they have a lot of things to try that look delicious, the waiter is friendly and the place is very clean

03/11/2025: Hands down the best fondente cioccolato (dark chocolate) gelato in Puglia, and I covered pretty much all of Puglia in 7 days. The gelato was softer than the others I’ve experienced (twice a day in every little town) and super rich and creamy. The latte macchiato and tea were “normal” and great. Setting was lovely too, in Gallipoli’s old town on an island connected by a bridge. No phot as I ate it too fast!

07/12/2025: The pizza was very thin and very moist in the center, and the fried appetizers were all frozen. Never again to Vesuvius.

16/11/2025: The Neapolitan croquettes made by them, not frozen, are excellent. The pizza is delicious, the Faista is impeccable...

26/06/2025: Absolutely avoid!!! Happened for lunch (by mistake). Choice between two first courses and two cold second courses... Pasta carbonara with courgettes, where there was not even one ingredient of carbonara, tasteless and made like that, just for the sake of it... I order a plate of pasta, a beer and a slice of tart for €16, against the osterias or trattorias where you have more choice, the food is good and you have a first course, a second course with side dish plus water for €12/13... Conclusion: Next door there is a nice place that does kebab, it is definitely worth stopping there. ANSWER: If you are a bar, be a bar then!!! If instead, you put up a sign for a hot food restaurant (at these prices not justified by the quality or the flavour), in my opinion you are a trap for unsuspecting passers-by. It is true that taste is subjective, but a dish thrown there, just for the sake of it, remains the same wherever you go.

05/05/2025: Très bonne expérience , pizza bonne, rapide et pas chère, accueil chaleureux. J’ai fait une erreur de commande car le menu n’est pas traduit et je me suis retrouvée avec une pizza saucisses frites mais finalement, j’ai bien aimé!

12/10/2025: I stayed at this property and it was a horrible experience. A room that should simply be closed forever. Damp, black walls, cockroaches, rusty bathroom fixtures—it's a disgrace to rent a room like that. When I complained to reception, they couldn't change my room because everything was full, and other properties either didn't have room or the prices were exorbitant. We didn't sleep the entire night, waiting for daylight to break and escape. The room was booked on Booking.com, which described it as completely different. If you've booked or are planning to book this hotel, don't get room 12, the room of horrors.

11/09/2025: Stopped by late at night just for a coffee and an after-dinner drink. Nice place, well-ventilated outdoor seating, good coffee. Luckily we did our own coffee and after-dinner service and brought them back to the counter, because the €1.20 coffee was fine, but two sambucas for €7.00 seemed a bit excessive. If there was table service, would it have cost as much as a dinner at a restaurant? We're in a seaside town, but we only see new customers once and never again.

20/10/2025: This small pastry shop in Gallipoli's historic center deserves a special mention for its excellent products at extremely competitive prices. You'll find both traditional products and standard pastries; we tried the pasticciotti and found them delicious!
