02/03/2026: The food was good, the location was nice, but nothing incredible. The service wasn't up to par with everything else. The staff was very nice and friendly, but they made several mistakes at our table and at neighboring tables, and the wait was incredibly long... 40 minutes just to take the order and at least almost an hour from one course to the next. If you're not in a hurry, it's fine, but for the price, the service definitely isn't up to par.

21/09/2025: Everything is fabulous in this very refined restaurant where in the summer you can dine with a sea view on the beach. The fresh fish dishes are exceptional with excellent pairings (I recommend the penne alla Maito, which is their signature dish). The selection of wines and champagne is endless. The very knowledgeable staff makes you feel like part of the family.

13/09/2025: Looking for a cafeteria to eat during my work break, I stumbled upon this bar in Troina. I had some very good cafeteria food, and I can also say they make excellent coffee.

09/02/2026: My friend and I went to dinner at this restaurant because it's one of the few open on Mondays in the area, and we decided to give it a try. The place is very beautiful and well-kept, with impeccable table service. It's a shame about the food, which is why people usually eat out. We ordered a platter, asking for more cheese than cured meats (since I don't eat meat), but it still arrived with six pieces of cheese and only cured meats. The pizzas were lightly topped; on the one with porcini mushrooms, there were probably seven pieces of mushroom scattered all over the pizza, and it was saturated with oil. We didn't try the first or second courses, so my negative review is mainly about the pizzas, which, unfortunately, didn't meet our expectations.

05/03/2026: Excellent dinner with a coworker who had excellent spaghetti with garlic, oil, and chili pepper. Dessert was exquisite: rum baba on mascarpone. The final price, including wine, was €20 per person. Excellent, courteous, and friendly service, especially Henry, who served us a truly delicious aged Zapaca rum with dessert.

28/12/2025: Authentic food with old-fashioned home cooking. We waited very little and ate a spectacular risotto and a perfectly prepared fried fish platter. If you're in the area, definitely try it. Excellent.

30/01/2026: We booked a table for two via Google Maps, but upon arrival, we were told it wasn't listed in their reservations. They apparently added this service without even knowing how to manage it, since the app showed many free time slots, while in reality the restaurant was always full. After a 15-minute wait, they still found us a table, and we managed to eat a good pizza (with caramelized onions, probably from the supermarket). The atmosphere is pleasant but noisy, especially since they often host birthday parties and other events in the gazebo.

27/01/2026: We had a dinner with friends; there were seven of us. We ordered six pizzas and one person a roast chicken. While waiting for our dishes, we asked for fries to be brought first, partly to give the chicken a chance to cook, thus facilitating the kitchen and ensuring all the dishes arrive at the same time. However, they created a bit of a mix-up; the pizzas arrived fairly quickly, but without the fries first, nor the chicken (which was a mistake, but was accepted anyway). We pointed out and reminded them about the fries, and they called the kitchen, but they promptly made them, delivering them while we were still eating our pizzas, while the person who ordered chicken was still without anything. After finishing the pizzas and fries, we decided to order a mixed fried pizza; both because the pizzas are very thin and one might be too small, and to keep the person who ordered chicken company. When the chicken arrived, the fried pizza arrived when I was practically finished eating it, thus creating a constant "someone eats, someone waits." The place and the service are certainly simple, unpretentious, yet friendly and helpful. The pizzas are good, though the dough is a bit bland (perhaps using a less refined flour would add a bit of flavor). They're classic Tuscan in style, very thin and crispy; for this reason, a single pizza might seem a bit small for those with a good appetite. The grilled chicken was very good, tender, well-cooked, and a generous portion. The fries were also well-cooked, and the fried fish was good. Seeing the neighboring tables, we were tempted by the first courses, which looked very well-seasoned and, above all, quite generous. The prices are average and even lower than many other places. I'll definitely be back; in the end, we had a great time.

01/11/2025: I put one star because I can't help but put zero stars after waiting an hour and a half the pizza arrives full of oil mozzarella that looks like plastic horrible pizza never again

21/09/2025: Awesome pizza, a pleasant discovery! I've had the pleasure of trying takeout pizza from Pizzeria Il Veliero several times, and I must say it's always been an excellent experience. The pizza is truly delicious; you can clearly taste the care taken in selecting and using high-quality ingredients. So far, I've always had a great experience with takeout, but the atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff has proven to be friendly and polite. This piqued my interest, and I can't wait to try their seafood, too. I'll definitely be back for a full sit-down dinner.

22/01/2026: A fantastic 5&5, served with a focaccia made with the impact of pizza, truly sublime! Amazing!! All topped off with a kindness and helpfulness you wouldn't expect, almost from another era.
