05/06/2025: A pearl on the Corso di Gallipoli: “Stella Marina” Lunch was a journey through the scents and flavors of Salento. As a first course we tasted tagliolini al limone with purple shrimp and burrata: a very successful combination of the citrus freshness of the pasta, the sweetness and delicacy of the purple shrimp, and the creaminess of the burrata that enveloped everything in a symphony of flavor. A refined but perfectly balanced dish. To follow, a sliced ​​tuna served on a bed of rocket with fresh cherry tomatoes and a delicate balsamic glaze. The tuna, perfectly seared and tender when cut, released all the flavor of the sea. Careful presentation, genuine flavors. To accompany everything, an excellent glass of local white wine, fresh and fragrant, perfect for enhancing the dishes. 01/08/2025: We discovered this lovely pizzeria by chance during a village festival. We were immediately greeted with great courtesy. They very kindly prepared a pizza for our daughter in record time, even before we ordered. But the most extraordinary thing are their potato croquettes and mixed fried fish in general. 11/08/2025: Getting a table can be a bit tricky, but once you have one, it’s worth the wait! The appetizers were delicious and the rice balls with cheese and tomato are a well worth recommendation. They were fully booked, but we never had to wait long for our food. The pizza here is also exquisite and it’s the best I’ve eaten in Italy so far. We were shocked when we got the bill because we had to pay so little for appetizers, main course and dessert! I'd highly recommend this restaurant.,

11/08/2025: Both the pizza and appetizers are excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Be prepared, though, as the wait can be very long (up to 45 minutes) as they don't accept reservations. The view is breathtaking; I recommend going at sunset.

31/07/2025: Wonderful pizza in a simple place, with attentive staff! I recommend everyone to come here, because in addition to having quality products, the prices are super fair (€35 for three pizzas, an appetizer, a drink each, and dessert). Thanks for the lovely evening!

12/05/2025: We found a. Cozy place, fantastic pizzas of the past, and then the impeccable service. The very kind girl who took the orders, even though we were a table of 8... and there was a mess in the room, they were very quick. Finally, the prices of a Margherita of 3 euros once upon a time hadn't been seen in a lifetime. We will definitely be back with a few more friends ☺️

24/05/2025: The truth is we couldn't eat, it was 8pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025, with no tables occupied, they told us that since we didn't have a reservation we couldn't eat, supposedly everything was booked but there was no one there yet. Very bad service for how short we were there, it seemed to me that they were giving space to locals because it was Saturday and not to a tourist. Horrible feeling, don't go. There are thousands of other pizzerias to choose from, you can see they are overcrowded.

04/08/2025: We've been frequenting the Villa Excelsa Restaurant for years, and it has always been a go-to place for important family occasions. This time, too, to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of two of our close friends, this place made us feel a little like home. As always, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Mino, the owner, a delightful person who manages to combine professionalism and passion, making every guest feel truly special. His attentive and discreet presence helped make the evening even more enjoyable. The setting is elegant, a renovated ancient villa, very well-kept and welcoming, perfect for unforgettable moments. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly and always available. The strictly fish-based menu fully met our expectations: tasty dishes, beautifully presented and prepared with quality ingredients. A huge thank you to all the staff. That's why we'll continue to choose it and why we recommend it to anyone looking for a place where they can truly feel good, eat with taste and quality, and toast with excellent wines!! Thank you

26/07/2025: Disappointing experience, speaking only for the pizzeria—I'll never return. Villa Excelsa, despite its reputation, offered an absolutely negative experience when it came to the pizza service. We were a group of 12, and everyone—without exception—had something to say about the quality of the pizzas: sloppy preparation, toppings thrown in almost haphazardly, mediocre dough. It almost seemed as if the pizza chef was rushing, lacking care or attention. I myself ordered a Paesana with tuna and onion: it arrived significantly later than the rest of the table, when everyone else had already finished. The onion was roughly placed and completely raw, making it inedible. When asked for an explanation, I was told that the oven only holds eight pizzas. This is an unacceptable excuse for a place of this size: in many other pizzerias, priority is rightly given to bringing out the dishes at the same time for the entire table. This is a clear organizational error by the restaurant manager, who should ensure consistent and respectful service. I hope this poor service is limited to the pizzeria, but personally, I won't risk returning. Terrible service, disorganized management, and zero customer service. It's a shame, but it's an experience you'll definitely forget.

26/08/2025: In the historic center of Martano, you'll find this splendid little restaurant with a romantic outdoor seating area on a side street beneath a sky of fairy lights. Extensive menu of meat and seafood Incredible appetizers (applause for the octopus alla pignata), good wine, and a very relaxing atmosphere. Energizing and youthful service. One small point: I'd add a fish option to the seafood grill (the one served included swordfish, cuttlefish, and grilled prawns). Definitely a restaurant worth trying for anyone visiting Martano.

02/09/2025: Excellent experience at this establishment. The setting is perfect, ideal location, especially if you like to have lunch overlooking the sea/beach. The welcome is pleasant and warm. The owner is very friendly. The food is excellent, with a special mention for their Schiaccina™!

17/07/2025: I went to this restaurant last year and had a decent meal. We decided to return, but since there wasn't enough room for three, they told us to come back in 10 minutes and they'd save a table for us. When we returned, as agreed... the table was already taken! Terrible organization and a truly unfriendly owner!!

11/07/2025: We stopped for lunch before heading to the airport, since it's a 15-minute drive away. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was really good. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend it.

05/07/2025: We were passing through after visiting Puglia by motorbike, in conclusion we started looking for a place where we could eat well and pay fair price. Here it is in Manduria (TA) the Messapian trattoria satisfied all our needs, staff, cuisine, dishes, location, everything was top, I only stayed one night but I would go back for another 100 just to taste their dishes again

07/09/2025: A lovely restaurant, where we had cream-filled mozzarella and octopus with potatoes as an appetizer. Followed by spaghetti all'a&a&a&ina. We found everything very tasty and reasonably priced. The desserts were also good. They have a very extensive menu, truly something for all tastes.
