05/04/2026: Nothing to complain about the pizza, it's really delicious. The only downside, unfortunately, is the service. Some friends from Rome are visiting, and I decide to take them to dinner here. We booked a table at 8:30 PM, but due to traffic and parking issues, we were seated at 8:50 PM. I should point out that when I made the reservation, I wasn't told there was a strict time limit, and I did, in any case, let them know we were late, just to be fair. Once we were seated, they made us wait over half an hour to order. We waved our arms around trying to call them, but to no avail, they ignored us. When they finally got our order, they rudely responded to my friend, and we pretended nothing had happened. They made the mistake of bringing us drinks, but we pretended nothing had happened. At 10:20 PM, when I had just eaten my last bite of pizza, the waiter practically kicked us out because he had to seat the second-shifters. He started a heated argument about our 20-minute delay, but ignored how long they'd made us wait to order. We went to the cashier and there we would have had to wait for their convenience to pay. So no, if you kick us out of the place practically while we're still chewing our pizza, we won't wait a single second to pay. We demanded they give us the bill immediately, left €100 without even taking €30 in change, and left. We certainly didn't make a good impression on our Roman friends. It's equally certain that we'll never return to this place.

28/01/2026: I went to this pizzeria with my boyfriend and had a fantastic experience. We ate really well: delicious pizzas and delicious tiramisu. What really made the difference, however, was the welcome, with an extremely kind, cheerful, and friendly waiter. When you feel welcomed like that, dinner becomes even more special. Highly recommended!

The culinary offerings exceed expectations thanks to the highly professional and knowledgeable staff. The Christmas season is always packed with initiatives and events, in keeping with the decor, which recalls classics and the Olympus of Rock. Highly recommended!

11/01/2026: The owner is a delightful person, the staff is very kind, the food is excellent, and the customers are equally as great, especially the very sweet Anna and little Adele, who danced enthusiastically all evening during the concert of the great band: "All hail, souls!" Congratulations to everyone!

Vico degli Sceptici is always a guarantee: high-quality, carefully crafted dishes with a strong connection to the local area make every experience authentic and enjoyable. The staff is always kind and welcoming, making you feel immediately at ease. Every time we return, we truly feel at home. Highly recommended!

14/03/2026: We had lunch as a couple on a Sunday in February at this trattoria-style restaurant. We tried appetizers with parmigiana, fried artichokes, stewed turnips, panzerotti; a first course of rice, potatoes, and mussels; orecchiette with braciola al sugo; and a second course of mixed fried seafood and roasted sea bream. This restaurant doesn't have menus with prices displayed. We returned and found that the final bill was unclear. Overall, the food was well prepared.

28/03/2026: I don't recommend takeout, the wait is long. The pizza was poorly cooked, with burnt edges. But most importantly, I ordered the sausage and potato pizza with a white crust, and I got sausage and fries with a Margherita crust.

However, as far as I'm concerned, there's a lot of chaos, which the staff manages exemplarily. Demand is certainly high, and therefore there's a lot of customers because the quality is excellent, but it would be nice if there were a quieter atmosphere. I'm not an entrepreneur, so I can't offer advice, but I speak as an average customer, accustomed to simplicity. Ad maiora semper

29/03/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with truly delicious food. The dishes were served quite quickly, which is a big plus. The portions are rather small, but the quality and flavor make up for it. The menu also includes cotletto – a great option for children. Overall, a very positive experience.

20/04/2026: Exceptional quality pizza, true to the authentic Bari tradition. The "spettata" is superb. The baked bruschetta is special. The hot appetizers are a must-try. The desserts are excellent. Classic and gourmet pizzas are available upon request, and can be enjoyed in the center with a platter. The atmosphere is very spacious and rustic.

Marina with kindness, intelligence and great humanity reassured us and in a few minutes she found the best solution made to the top for us... a precious help... an angel.... Sara also served us with professionalism despite the Saturday evening with the place packed with people.... Marina and Sara are two excellent points of reference fundamental for customers.... we extend a huge thank you to them.... yesterday we ate an excellent grilled roast meat with delicious appetizers... this evening we enjoyed two extremely good pizzas... a heartfelt applause goes to the pizza chef and all the staff who work behind the scenes... you are all worthy of an Oscar award... we wish you great satisfaction and success and all the best... we greet you with affection and again thank you very much for everything.... 12/04/2026: Over the past few days, I've ordered two takeout pizzas. First, allow me to briefly reflect on what, in my opinion, defines a truly high-quality pizza. The dough, the key element, should undergo a long maturation and controlled leavening process to ensure digestibility and aromatic complexity. Its ideal composition, in its almost ascetic simplicity, is limited—as far as I'm concerned—to just four ingredients: water, flour, salt, and yeast. Similarly, when it comes to the topping, a top-quality tomato sauce requires no artificial corrections: high-quality tomatoes, carefully selected, already express a natural organoleptic harmony. At most, a light addition of salt and a minimal hint of sugar can help balance the acidity, without altering its flavor profile. The same principle applies to dairy products: a high-quality fior di latte—or a mozzarella of the same caliber—requires no further adjustment, being already fully expressive in its purity. For this reason, on a first visit, I always adopt a fairly rigorous evaluation criterion: I order a Margherita, as the epitome of simplicity and a test of the intrinsic quality of the ingredients, and a Diavola, where the choice of cured meat—specifically, spicy salami—reveals, in my opinion, the pizzeria's overall quality standard. Now let's look at the specific case: the total price was 18 euros for two pizzas. This price, in the context of towns like Lecce or Calimera, and more generally in most neighboring towns, would correspond on average to three pizzas. From an organoleptic standpoint, the dough was certainly good, although not memorable. The fior di latte was of excellent quality, while the Diavola's salami was decidedly superior. What did, however, negatively impact the overall evaluation was the addition of dried aromatic herbs to the pizza, an intervention that inevitably compromised the perception of the Margherita's pure and original flavor profile. A truly excellent pizza doesn't require such frills: it stands out for the intrinsic quality of its individual components. Added to this is the price, which seems unjustified in the context of Sannicola, a town not characterized by the tourism dynamics that would justify pricing levels similar to those found in towns like Otranto or Torre dell'Orso, where structural costs are notoriously higher. In conclusion, my overall rating is 3 out of 5 stars: a good pizza, at times very good, but not enough to be considered excellent. Given the quality-price ratio, I believe there are more compelling alternatives in the area.

31/03/2026: This was the strangest restaurant I encountered in Italy because there's zero respect for customers. Even though all the tables are empty, they seat you next to rude people, and a waiter constantly stares at you, wanting you to finish your meal and leave. I wouldn't recommend going there.
