24/08/2025: Even though I live in the area, I'd never been to this bar and pizzeria... I stopped by with my girlfriend one August morning and found a convenient parking area, a beautiful and elegant shaded outdoor area where you can see the cars (popular with motorcyclists and vintage car owners). The bar area is welcoming, with a sofa, a large-screen TV, local products (honey, jams, etc.) and antique and modern furniture. A friendly and youthful "Girl" behind the counter, very smiley, comments appreciatively on my partner's red hair. An assortment of croissants worthy of a downtown pastry shop, and a lovely atmosphere reigns... Returning this evening, after a totally negative experience elsewhere, we found the same positive energy, the inviting aroma of pizza, a restaurant that is unique here in the mountains, a sign of the attention to detail of the "girl" behind the counter and, we believe, also of the kind and attentive waiter who served us two pizzas that surprised us, accustomed to the low quality of other pizzerias in the area, but that lived up to the name. Two excellent beers, two very good ones. Coffee and a truly interesting final bill, competitively priced compared to other places closer to us, but with staff and pizzas that have nothing to do with this oasis of friendliness, hospitality, helpfulness, and, last but not least, the excellent quality/price ratio!!! ...we will definitely be back, whatever the weather and season!!!

29/12/2025: Regular pizzas are very good. The gluten-free pizza is quite good. The lady is keen to point out that the pizzas are cooked in the same oven, so there's no risk of cross-contamination; this is appreciated. A major flaw is the lack of French fries, as the restaurant doesn't offer fried foods. Unfortunately, the baked potatoes aren't great either, but the quality of the other products is very good.

08/02/2026: At the end of a morning of 'unpleasant' work, we refreshed and comforted ourselves in this place we discovered by chance! And I must say, both my colleague and I were impressed! Huge space, renowned especially for its fish menu, but also offers traditional dishes and pizza! Well done! I recommend it!

28/01/2026: Lunch break, fillet overcooked without asking for it to be cooked and quite stringy, bread not brought to the table, and a distracted waiter who forgot some requests. Mediocre bresaola appetizer. High prices, especially for the quality of the ingredients. Maybe things will be different in the evening...

15/02/2026: Very normal pizza, but the biggest disappointment is that you can't make a slice of pizza the way you want, you have to take whatever is available, and that says it all.

22/03/2026: Excellent restaurant, welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. Whenever we're in the area, a stop at Contea di Montale is a must. We've been there three times and haven't found a single dish I didn't like. The starters are excellent, the meats are top-notch, and then... I suggest you don't leave the restaurant without trying the mascarpone, which alone is worth the visit. During our last visit, we had a small problem with the wine bottle. Being inexperienced, we accepted the bottle and only realized the problem after a few sips. I must appreciate the restaurant owner's courtesy (we were dealing with a mustachioed waiter at the time, whose name I don't know but whom I really appreciated): he changed the bottle for us immediately, although I realize it wasn't at all obvious at that point. Also worthy of mention is the Brazilian-born waitress: welcoming, smiling, and excellent because she immediately understood and accommodated our needs related to our small child. In short: I'm satisfied. Well done, and see you soon!

20/03/2026: Besides trying this place last summer with friends (a good experience), I returned to organize a simple dinner with work colleagues. Vegetarian colleagues were also present and easily found dishes they liked (such as gnocco fritto without lard). We chose to have a mixed appetizer brought to us to share, then each of us chose either a first course or a second course. The quality of the dishes is good, but I should point out that there is a price for this. The wine list is very extensive, featuring both local and national/international wines, in addition to the usual restaurant drinks (beers and soft drinks). The atmosphere and setting, both inside and out, are very pleasant, making it suitable for business, family, or pleasure lunches or dinners.

15/02/2026: Tried it for the first time on Sunday for lunch. Table of 5. 1 fried fish dish to share, 1 spaghetti with clams, 2 spaghetti chitarra, 1 poke, 1 portion of fried anchovies, 5 desserts. 3 waters, 2 glasses, 1 bottle of wine, 3 coffees. €210. €43 per person for a dish and a dessert. Service a bit slow, food good. Nice place. A bit pricey, but the quality is worth it. I also got some gnocchi to take home: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

07/03/2026: We often order Carbonara here, this time it was so so salty that I can’t take it, very disappointed as it was really good before 😖. Pity!!! Schnitzel is good at least.

06/03/2026: Very welcoming, friendly owners.... helpful dining room staff... but the food was nothing special... rubbery mixed fried fish... I was served a zuppa inglese with a really dry side (obviously I left it on the plate and the waitress noticed it "she could have removed it before serving it) the place with the previous owner, the legendary "Mirella", certainly had an edge in terms of the quality of the cuisine and the pizzeria....
