24/05/2026: After the tour of the Giotto's Bell Tower and surrounding city center area, our tour director said any of our group could follow her to her favorite restaurant during the "free time" in Florence. We did, and glad we did. The restaurant is right by the market area and their pizza's were fantastic. The waitresses were very attendant and took care to make sure we were satisfied. I had my 24th Cappuccino of this 31 day trans-Atlantic cruise and still 6 more to go! Thanks to them if they read this review!

07/06/2026: We popped in by chance for a quick snack and found a wide selection of excellent quality sandwiches and platters at very reasonable prices. We ordered a main course and a delicious beef and horsemeat sandwich twice.

25/12/2025: WHAT A HUGE HAIRCOMB! Two of us had lunch, and we were lured in by the photos of the highly acclaimed Saddle of Roe Deer, thinking they were a minimum portion for two people: €27 per person with only potatoes on the side... it might have been okay looking at the photos, but the reality was quite different: 80-90g of meat PER PERSON for €27 comes to a price of €270 per kg... have you ever paid that much for a Florentine steak?! THIS IS MADNESS. And the potatoes were awful, too. It's a shame because the rest of the food was quite good, especially the taroz. By the end, my stomach was in knots. Otherwise, the prices are pretty average, and the service is excellent, except for the fact that they sat us down at the beginning and then forgot about us (that's the fault of the person who showed us to the table, who didn't tell anyone). For fairness and to respect the customer's wallet, I recommend including the price per 100g on the menu. We are not all rich and we earn our money hard.

23/12/2025: Beautiful place, with a truly welcoming, family atmosphere. We really appreciated that the menu includes both traditional valley dishes, beautifully prepared, and original dishes based on local ingredients. The wine list is nothing short of remarkable. Dining on the veranda overlooking the valley is particularly lovely.

28/04/2026: A delicious pizza in the heart of town. We chose an ortolana and two specialty pizzas. The ingredients are top-quality and well-balanced, avoiding the cloying effect of flavors that ultimately are only Instagrammable. I highly recommend it, especially during the week to avoid the weekend crowds and enjoy a relaxed evening.

26/04/2026: This place was recommended to us by the hotel where we were staying. Even though we hadn't booked and it was a Saturday night, they quickly seated us. What can I say, simply sublime, from the service to the bill. The pizza dough is melt-in-the-mouth, and the toppings are top-notch. If you're in the area, you have to stop here.

01/06/2026: The pizza was very good and well-topped, I recommend it! The waitresses were kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is the main flaw: small and not very welcoming. Eating outside is probably better, but we ended up staying inside. On a negative note: the tiramisu wasn't real tiramisu, and the cheesecake had the same ingredients. The pizza, however, was very good and had nice flavors, so stop by!

03/06/2026: Returning home from a family vacation in the Aosta Valley, I took my time driving along the main road, passing through mountain villages before taking the return road. Once I reached MONFERRATO, I detoured a few kilometers and arrived in TERRUGGIA. A small village south of Monferrato, where I found MELOGRANO, a PET-FRIENDLY restaurant 🐶💚, serving classic local dishes as well as delicious vegetarian and vegan options... 😋 A warm, family-friendly atmosphere, with fast and punctual service. The entire staff is polite, kind, and very empathetic... which is rare these days... 😉 They'll even delight you with tastings, before and during your meal... 😊 So if you're passing through MONFERRATO... Il Melograno, in my opinion, is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED stop... for those like me who have a 🐶 that isn't just ACCEPTED... but is WELCOME here... ☺️ To conclude, the PRICES are VERY FAIR for dishes made with excellent ingredients and attention to every detail... 👌🏻 So, BON APPETIT to everyone, and to me... until next time... 😌
