17/04/2025: Complete experience, stay at Villa Crespi for one night and dinner at the restaurant. Everything was taken care of right from the booking stage with easy communication even by email. Since our arrival, every detail has been taken care of with attention and warmth. The staff is incredibly prepared, present without ever being intrusive, capable of making you feel special without forcing. The service in the room is orchestrated with precision, real smiles, perfect timing, punctual but never pedantic explanations from highly trained guys. Each course is told without mincing words because it is the dish that speaks and the ingredients that have an "enormous" flavor even if in fact they are dishes with traditional ingredients. The stylish room is very welcoming, considering that you are in a 19th century building so no overly technological ambitions. We also made use of the SPA with a full body massage which is worth experiencing. The buffet breakfast offers very high quality choices starting from exceptional pastries and savory choices of the highest level, it does not make you regret the quality of the restaurant experienced the previous evening. A true and full experience that I will always carry with me.

14/04/2025: Villa Crespi is an ancient home of industrialists and is now home to the Cannavacciuolo restaurant. I recommend it to be pampered by good food.

08/04/2025: We stopped by chance at this restaurant listed on the street. Despite the location in Orta San Giulio, complete with a terrace overlooking the lake, the prices were normal. Private parking. We go up and opt for pizza and fish + side dish. All good, prices in line with restaurants everywhere. Maybe slightly more expensive drinks and desserts but without absurd amounts. However a very good meal, friendly staff, fast and friendly service. Really beautiful view and place. We recommend!

03/11/2024: Sono stata a cena con mio marito. Abbiamo scelto qualcosa dal menu alla carta. E dobbiamo dire che, nonostante il prezzo pagato, siamo usciti con fame… Mio marito ha scelto un antipasto con gamberi crudi. I gamberi erano due di numero…. Il secondo piatto era una porzione decisamente scarsa. Il mio secondo piatto prevedeva amiche un’insalata di puntarelle. Risultato? Mi sono trovata un’unica puntarella nel piatto… fate voi. Non discuto la qualità perché i piatti erano ottimi, ma la quantità decisamente scarsa per il prezzo pagato. La carta dei vini, di cui non discuto la ottima selezione, parte da un prezzo minimo di 50€. Insomma , un ristorante pretenzioso che mi ha deluso. Si atteggiano a stellati quando stellati non sono? Forse vogliono fare una selezione sin da subito. Io non ci torno… e mi stupiscono tutte queste recensioni solo positive.

21/04/2025: Breakfast was pretty average. Ants in the room and in the bed. The hotel was overrated and very expensive considering the services it offered.

15/04/2025: After staying in many hotels while exploring the Italian Lakes, this hotel was for us the best value, we drove and easily parked and were received by the kind staff. Although we didn’t book the rooms with the lake views we really enjoyed our room and the quality and variety of the breakfast, we also enjoyed our dinner with the incredible view from the restaurant. Every staff member at this hotel should be commended they must truly enjoy working there. We did experience some rain during our stay, so we can’t wait to go back.

01/05/2025: Great food, we booked at the last minute to be safe since we were in the area for a day trip and there was still room. The choices, we can say that they are few, but the ingredients are of the highest quality and this allows them to have well-balanced dishes with authentic flavors. Not exactly cheap, but quality has its price and, in this case, it is worth every euro spent

28/04/2025: The food is very good, generous portions. Prices not cheap though. First course for 15, 16 euros, starters also 20. Seats indoors and outdoors. Friendly and fast staff.

19/10/2024: Posizionato sulla Via principale del Centro di Orta, a poca distanza dalla piazza centrale, questo locale è stata una piacevole scoperta: ottima accoglienza, ambiente luminoso ed ospitale, pietanze originali e molto gustose. Ottimi i tagliolini al ragù di cinghiale e fuori dal consueto la preparazione e la presentazione del coniglio. Le portate sono quantitativamente adeguate, nonostante il locale possa presentarsi del tipo ricercato (“gourmet”). Veramente degno di menzione lo zabaione (qui, chiamato “zabaglione”) … €. 9,00 possono sembrare eccessivi, ma la porzione è decisamente abbondante ed è ampiamente proporzionata per due persone. €. 4,00 per una bottiglia d’acqua (in bottiglia di vetro, imbottigliata e tappata alla fonte … e non di quelle microfiltrate, imbottigliate in cucina) possono risultare eccessivi, ma considerato che non viene applicato il coperto (nonostante il tavolo sia imbandito con tovaglia e tovaglioli di stoffa ed il servizio sia impeccabile) e mi è stato praticato anche uno sconto … beh! Non c’è nulla di cui lamentarsi. Ho molto apprezzato i libri e le riviste di alto pregio culturale, presenti nel locale. Molto gradevole la conversazione con la titolare, che accoglie, all’entrata, e saluta i clienti, dopo il pagamento, con molta cordialità (… qualità non molto diffusa nel V.C.O., dove spesso si ha l'impressione di essere tollerati soltanto perchè si paga la visita).

04/04/2025: Ci siamo recati in questo ristorante durante la nostra visita ad Orta San Giulio. Ristorante molto carino con una bella vista sul lago. Personale molto accogliente. Cibo buono e qualità prezzo direi ottima. Unica pecca è che abbiamo aspettato veramente tanto le portate ma probabilmente ci sarà stato qualche problemino in cucina. Consigliato

02/04/2025: Ate quite well, they are slow, I advise you not to put the central seat with the chair where everyone passes, have a lunch with people who beat you on the chair, every time they pass, not at most.

25/04/2025: Gelateria deliciosa! Muito melhor do que marcas famosas de Milano. Experimente o limão com manjericão, amarena e chesse cake. Lavanda também era bem diferente.

20/04/2025: Posto suggestivo molto particolare, un biglietto da visita fantastico...entri nel locale e c'è una vetrina piena di affettati e formaggi tipici scelta di vini ottima personale molto molto gentile e molto preparato, piatti ottimi soprattutto la polenta ma anche tt il resto. Super consigliato

20/01/2025: Abbiamo pranzato diverse volte in questo bel ristorante affacciato sul lago, splendida vista e bella atmosfera. Cibo curato, ben presentato; personale attento e servizio puntuale; giusto rapporto prezzo/qualità. Una nota di particolare gradimento è il parcheggio privato, che permette l'accesso a ORTA molto comodamente, senza arrancare al ritorno! Consigliato a tutti, noi torneremo sicuramente.

26/04/2025: Super strategic location: just outside the historic center of Orta with a beautiful view of the lake and island. Perfect for a dinner on the lake. The sore point, unfortunately, is the cooking, the pizzas are comparable to a product from the frozen section: dry dough, no leavening, cracker effect in the mouth. The tiramisu doesn't manage to make a difference unfortunately, ladyfingers not wet and cream to forget. It's a shame because with a location like that if there was a real chef in the kitchen it would truly be a pearl!
