22/07/2025: What can I say? Chef Cannavacciuolo has earned three Michelin stars for something. The summer menu is top-notch. The location does the rest. Top. Friendly and knowledgeable staff; perhaps a few more months of experience wouldn't hurt. A high-level experience.

20/07/2025: Let’s start with the positives: the area is beautiful overlooking Lake Orta and the most famous 3 Michelin star in the region. From the moment you park at the designated car park for the restaurant, you will walk through their organic garden where they get all their fruit, veg and herbs. We came for lunch and ate outside which was a real vibe as we took in the view. Even if it rains, most tables are protected by the above trees which created an even more romantic setting. Now the negatives: I thought the food was very average; especially considering the high prices. La Darbia is clearly going for a Michelin star given the service, location and prices but there is a reason they don’t have one in my opinion. We had the tasting menu which is 5 course meal, and tried both the vegetarian and meat options. I thought the pasta course was the best followed by the dessert. The other courses I will forget about by next week, average at best. I will also stress than my partner’s vegetarian menu was better than the meat one. Service was good, staff mostly spoke English. Professional service. Overall: it was an ok meal, an amazing atmosphere but wouldn’t go back.

The service was outstanding — friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes, and every plate we tried was a masterpiece. Fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and beautiful presentation made the meal truly unforgettable. The [insert favorite dish] was a standout! Olina Restaurant is a gem — perfect for a special occasion or simply enjoying a high-quality meal. We left happy, full, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

13/06/2025: The cooking is still done by hand and with a lot of imagination. The prices are fair and absolutely reasonable. I had tortelloni filled with pumpkin and amatetto filling. My wife had catfish dumplings with polenta. The starter, a perch fillet with dried zucchini, was free... Also free were the faces of the Teutons who expected something different on their plates.

29/06/2025: They have the best pizza you can eat in the Lake Orta region. All the other dishes are also highly recommended. I can highly recommend this restaurant! I’ve been coming here several times a year since it opened. The service is always very friendly and attentive, and you can enjoy your meal in a cozy atmosphere.

At Ristorante San Giulio you eat well, with dishes that are refined but never pretentious, such as the fresh pasta with lake fish: tasty, well-balanced and cooked to perfection. The staff is welcoming and attentive, without ever being intrusive. All in an enchanting location, overlooking the calm waters of Lake Orta. Perfect for a family lunch dedicated to relaxation and good food.

19/06/2025: 3 days in Northern Italy Italian Lakes! We had the absolute best service from Lucia a young lady getting ready to graduate from the university! She was helpful in us choosing our wine selection, as well as food choices. She was always ready to fill our wine glasses. Extremely attentive and friendly. The food is amazing! Perch raviolis, Spaghetti with clams & mussels, started with a shared vegetable crudities with a raspberry vinaigrette and the best Tiramisu for dessert! 5 Stars! Highly recommended Thank You, Karen & Doug

28/07/2025: According to Google, it opens at 6:00 PM, according to the sign at 6:30 PM – but actually, it still wasn't open at 6:45 PM. After waiting for an hour, we went somewhere else.

02/07/2025: Nice place, nice even outside at the back. Prices are normal despite being in a tourist location. Possibility of internal parking, simply with the consumption. Highly recommended

13/07/2025: Dopo aver fatto il giro all'isola di S.Giulio ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante che avevamo gia prenotato e si trova proprio sulla piazza di Orta; eravamo insieme ai nostri parenti venuti dall'Ecuador e abbiamo pranzato con bombom croccante, spaghetto Giacomo, tagliata di carne, insalata di polpo, spongecake ai lamponi, acqua e vino rosato; tutto ottimo e abbondante; la cameriera Federica è stata gentilissima anche nella spiegazione dei piatti; servizio rapido; buon rapporto qualità/prezzo; consigliatissimo !!!

30/06/2025: Posto unico, di grandi sapori e alta qualità. Consigliatissimo il vitello tonnato, lo spaghetto con datterino e stracciatella, da provare i numerosi antipasti e taglieri squisiti. Personale gentilissimo (Federica specialmente)
