15/05/2025: We had been dreaming of Cannavacciuolo for a lifetime: the dishes are truly incredible. We were disappointed by a few things: 1) When we arrived at the table the waiter asked us if we wanted a welcome glass (which we didn't have the chance to choose and which weighed on the bill +80€), for me if it's welcome you offer it to me, otherwise you let me choose it or at least make me understand that I will pay for it; 2) We had booked when there was another minus and my boyfriend was super happy to be able to try the red mullet. We asked the waiter if, since the menu had changed, we could REPLACE the turbot with the red mullet (which was on the à la carte menu). The waiter told us in an unpleasant and very strict way that this was not possible and that if we wanted the red mullet we would have to order it "on top". To our “ok no thanks”, he also commented “but it’s just one more dish” (yes, are you paying for it then?) 3) Before the pre-dessert the waiters came with the cheese trolley to offer us a cutting board and we, evidently full, declined. We saw this scene at all the tables and it seemed like a really useless attempt at upselling. I just want to say one thing: the people who sell lunch at your place can be rich but also super humble people who work a lifetime to fulfill this dream and I think that given the price you need to pay more attention to who you have in front of you, and to how much you can please the customer (e.g. We came from Rome and spent half our salary, how would it have hurt to settle for the red mullet?) That said: it’s an experience that I will carry in my heart beyond these things that made me feel bad

03/06/2025: A truly interesting location with a wide selection of wines, also serving as decor. The tartare was very good, seasoned as proposed. The only flaw: being alone, tell me beforehand that the menu has many choices for 2 people and there is no possibility of making a single portion (I don't understand what the difficulty is, since it is not about cooked dishes but about cold cuts and bruschetta)

Cucina perfetta con piatti della tradizione rivisitati in modo impeccabile, come il morone e la quaglia che non si trovano in tutti i ristoranti. 01/05/2025: Great food, we booked at the last minute to be safe since we were in the area for a day trip and there was still room. The choices, we can say that they are few, but the ingredients are of the highest quality and this allows them to have well-balanced dishes with authentic flavors. Not exactly cheap, but quality has its price and, in this case, it is worth every euro spent

28/04/2025: The food is very good, generous portions. Prices not cheap though. First course for 15, 16 euros, starters also 20. Seats indoors and outdoors. Friendly and fast staff.

30/05/2025: Local located on the island of San Giulio in front of Orta San Giulio. Take the ferry 10 euros and in 5 minutes you are there. The only restaurant with excellent service and very good food. The place should be reviewed nothing exceptional. It is also suitable for receptions.

19/05/2025: Assiettes vides, à éviter absolument. Hors d'œuvre : on vous propose du supplément alors que vous venez d'être servi. Avec environ 60g de viande et une salade triste, le petit dessert sec n'a pas comblé la faim. A éviter : très beau cadre, sauf l'assiette.

08/05/2025: Kennen das Restaurant seit vielen Jahren. Jedes Jahr hat sich die Qualität verschlechtert. Minestrone, Gemüse verkocht, eigenartiger Geschmack. Vitello tonato, trockenes Kalbfleisch mit etwas Thonsauce überstrichen, keine Deko, keine Zwiebel, keine Kapern. Spargel Ravioli, trocken, keine Deko, keine Spargelstücke. Gnocchi mit Tomatensosse, ohne Kräuter, ohne Deko, einfach auf den Teller geknallt. Enttäuschendes Abendessen! Nie wieder.

04/06/2025: Nous y sommes arrivés par hasard, on avait une petite faim. Vue magnifique sur le lac d’Orta, deux salades commandées, à assaisonner à notre convenance. Rien de transcendant mais correct, avec un accueil plutôt sympathique et un service rapide. Vu la proximité avec le centre du village d’Orta très touristique, c’était très bien.

29/05/2025: I ate a good pizza with buffalo mozzarella, thin. The place is in a very good location, outside the center (I parked the motorcycle and before entering the tourist area I had lunch, place with internal rooms and garden with elevated position on the lake) I suggest booking and I recommend it without a shadow of a doubt!

21/05/2025: Dieser Ort ist ideal für ein entspanntes Abendessen. Regionale Produkte. Excellente Küche mit sehr hochwertigen Speisen. Werde wieder kommen.
