19/01/2026: I dined and stayed at Villa Crespi for a special event and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The unique, historic location is truly evocative, and the rooms have been beautifully renovated while maintaining the period style. As for the cuisine, as with other Michelin-starred restaurants I've had the pleasure of dining at, I found some dishes incredibly delicious and balanced, despite the unconventional pairings. Others, however, were less impressive, and I may not have fully understood them. Overall, I can only give them 5 stars. There were a couple of service errors, but the staff handled them well after I pointed them out and corrected them appropriately.

14/01/2026: The hotel is simply fantastic: the villa, the location, the rooms, everything is top-notch. As for the restaurant, we haven't noticed any difference between when it had 2 stars and now it has 3. Very scenic, the food is good but not spectacular.

12/12/2025: Even though it was low season (we were almost alone), we appreciated the room, the staff, and the breakfast. Also noteworthy is the very useful parking included in the price... Ask for a room with a lake view (even a partial one), it's a plus that's worth the trip!

19/10/2025: We were welcomed, served, and pampered magnificently... The ingredients were of the highest quality, the food was delicious and a little different from the usual, the place was spotless and welcoming, the staff was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. We were served by waiter Fabio, who truly took care of us, even moving our table as soon as he could because the door was left open for outside service, allowing some fresh air to flow in near our table. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

22/08/2025: I went there three times during my stay in Orta San Diego, just for breakfast with my son. A more than adorable welcome, attentive waitresses, a cappuccino to die for, and very reasonable prices (€1.60 for a cappuccino). The cafeteria opens at 8:00 a.m., a time when you can easily park in the free white spaces. Finally, behind it, you can sit in the quiet garden.

The service was outstanding — friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes, and every plate we tried was a masterpiece. Fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and beautiful presentation made the meal truly unforgettable. The [insert favorite dish] was a standout! Olina Restaurant is a gem — perfect for a special occasion or simply enjoying a high-quality meal. We left happy, full, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

13/06/2025: Here, the food is still cooked by hand with a lot of imagination. The prices are fair and absolutely reasonable. I had tortellini filled with pumpkin amatetto filling. My wife had catfish dumplings with polenta. The starter, perch fillet with dried zucchini, was free... Also free were the looks on the faces of the Germans who expected something different on their plates.

19/10/2025: Mediocre food, service that would be better without it. The atmosphere? Indoors, with birds eating with you. Unfortunately, being the only restaurant in the area allows them to treat customers however they want. I won't return, nor will I recommend it. Unfortunately, 0 doesn't exist, because otherwise, it would be the rating that best reflects the restaurant.

13/10/2025: I booked at Ristorante San Giulio for my mom's birthday, and I have to say we were thrilled! The menu was excellent, every dish delicious and meticulously crafted; the cake we commissioned was delicious and stunning; our table was on the covered terrace overlooking the lake; and the very kind, attentive, and professional staff made this a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

04/01/2026: A very characteristic location in the center of Orta. Very structured menu; the appetizers could easily be second courses. Extensive and refined wine list. Experienced, attentive service. Medium-high prices. A must try! 💚

27/12/2025: Very nice place. Really good food. The waiters were kind, polite, and attentive. You might be wondering why only 2 stars. If I could split the rating, I'd give 5 stars to the overall experience, the food, and the waiters, and 1 star to the "supposed owner" (or, at least, the person who pretended to be one). Throughout the lunch, she did nothing but read aloud the negative reviews of local restaurants, denigrating and ridiculing them. She then added a few minutes of criticism and polemic (not at all constructive) towards Villa Crespi, calling it inadequate and complaining that Orta is known only for the Villa and its Michelin-starred restaurant. She also stated loudly that Villa Crespi would delete negative Tripadvisor reviews so it always has good reviews. An unpleasant comment that confirms her intention to take pleasure in denigrating others. That said, if you enjoy good food at a traditional, local restaurant, I recommend it. I hope the woman reads this comment and realizes the bad publicity she's given not only to her competitors, but also to her own restaurant. My only practical advice for the restaurant: the dark bread is good, but the white one is a bit hard. I'd replace it.

25/10/2025: Great restaurant. The atmosphere is super cozy. The 60s soul funk music is incredibly cool. We were there in October, and the small fireplace was on, which made it even cozier. The dog got water. The service was very friendly. The food was sensational. We were very impressed!

02/01/2026: A very well-maintained and welcoming pub, with an inviting appearance and a traditional atmosphere that invites you to linger. Excellent parking and a convenient location, just a short distance from the center of Orta San Giulio. A good selection of beers and perfectly pub-style tables, ideal for an informal meeting or an evening with friends. The sandwich was authentic and made with quality ingredients: the piadina and vegetables tasted fresh and well-sourced, although overall the flavor was a bit delicate and lackluster. Truly excellent service, with attentive, helpful, and always present staff who make the difference and make the experience very pleasant. Overall, a recommended place, especially for the atmosphere, the beers, and the customer service.

25/09/2025: We celebrated our wedding reception here. The staff is super friendly, the service is great, and the location is fantastic because you can party until late. The view of Villa Crespi was also lovely, and they make great cocktails! A really nice place for a drink.
