20/02/2026: I chose the dinner experience at Villa Crespi as a birthday gift for my wife, and we were thrilled. The Mettici l'Anima menu was exceptional, introducing us to new flavors and pairing perfectly with the sommelier's wine tasting. The staff was incredibly kind and pampered us throughout the evening. Along with the dinner, I also wanted to gift an overnight stay at the villa, which turned out to be extremely pleasant, with countless treatments and attentions. The body ritual in the wellness area was a wonderful addition, especially for the olfactory pairing of the essences with the massage. The staff is very attentive and available to accommodate every need. Overall, an experience definitely worth repeating!

18/02/2026: I tried the restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience: the quality was top-notch, and the dishes were pure magic. The highly qualified staff pampers you with warmth and a deep knowledge of the dishes and wines. I've tried many Michelin-starred restaurants (one to three stars) around the world (both in the US and Europe). This is absolutely the best I've had so far.

23/02/2026: The hotel is in a quiet but truly beautiful location. Our room was spacious and welcoming, with a very comfortable bed and a view of the lake. Convenient for visiting the center or as a starting point for pleasant walks. The staff were very friendly. It will definitely be even more beautiful in the summer, thanks to the outdoor pool. I highly recommend it.

03/03/2026: The place is very small and dimly lit, but this creates a lovely atmosphere. The menu offers a limited selection, very simple and rustic. The charcuterie board is generous and very good, and the sausage cooked in wine is also very flavorful. I recommend this place for a casual, no-frills lunch or dinner. We had a great time.

A small menu with typical dishes; I loved the bagna cauda (I'd never tried it before, thinking I didn't like anchovies) – paired with fresh vegetables and a good wine, it was simply delicious! For appetizers, we had a platter of various cheeses, prosciutto, and salami. The kids were initially a bit surprised not to see pasta or anything more familiar on the menu, but in the end, my son chose the sausage and my daughter the tartare, and we were all satisfied. The place is very cozy, small, and warm. I didn't take photos to avoid people being in the frame. Fond memories.

Coffee and pastry shop available both inside and outside the building. Ample outdoor seating. Play area and garden for children. A pleasure to try! A short walk from the city center.

10/01/2026: Excellent pizza, with a few carefully prepared dishes. Attentive service, and they accommodated our needs when my wife was pregnant. Four stars because we tried calling twice (during business hours) and they didn't answer. In the end, we went anyway and it was open—so much the better!

27/12/2025: Very nice place. Really good food. The waiters were kind, polite, and attentive. You might be wondering why only 2 stars. If I could split the rating, I'd give 5 stars to the overall experience, the food, and the waiters, and 1 star to the "supposed owner" (or, at least, the person who pretended to be one). Throughout the lunch, she did nothing but read aloud the negative reviews of local restaurants, denigrating and ridiculing them. She then added a few minutes of criticism and polemic (not at all constructive) towards Villa Crespi, calling it inadequate and complaining that Orta is known only for the Villa and its Michelin-starred restaurant. She also stated loudly that Villa Crespi would delete negative Tripadvisor reviews so it always has good reviews. An unpleasant comment that confirms her intention to take pleasure in denigrating others. That said, if you enjoy good food at a traditional, local restaurant, I recommend it. I hope the woman reads this comment and realizes the bad publicity she's given not only to her competitors, but also to her own restaurant. My only practical advice for the restaurant: the dark bread is good, but the white one is a bit hard. I'd replace it.

14/07/2025: Very friendly, typical and above all very well-equipped little town! I would like to give a huge thumbs up for having made bins available almost everywhere, which fortunately forces tourists to respect them! I was afraid of walking around the lake and I must say that I was surprisingly surprised by the facilities!!!! Tourists are spoiled! The little tourist train, nice! And above all very practical! The island to visit, a haven of peace!!! Very quick crossing by small boat, with very friendly and attentive staff. Small downside.... There are many restaurants, menus and drinks that are decent, but from the start and automatically we are spoken to in English, whereas it would be more pleasant in Italian!!!!
