Orta is beautiful with the island of San Giulio

A charming town with beautiful bars and very friendly people, but I'm wondering if it's worth getting mosquito treatments, as they make the evening unpleasantly short. After a certain hour, it's practically impossible to stroll, much less stop at the bars in the square. It seems paradoxical to me that in a place that thrives on tourism, patrons, residents, and especially the bar and restaurant owners, who are in some way the backbone of the place, are penalized. I come from an unremarkable town in the lower Po Valley, and here, despite the lack of tourism, the municipality takes care to disinfect at least twice a summer.
